The only difficulty I had was before the stent was removed. It was very itchy and irritating, and my calls to the department did not result in a satisfactory solution to that. So I was very uncomfortable for a week, before it was removed, and an appropriate medication proscribed. (this is difficult to treat over the phone0

We have been going to see Dr Byrne for at least 3 years for check-ups to monitor my husbands liver and are totally impressed with this doctor and the Mayo clinic. It is an hour drive for us but we would do it if it was 4 hours. Dr. Byrne is respectful, attentive, and knows his field. My husband has had a liver byopsy from him as well as many tests and Dr. Byrne has never pushed any unnecessary treatment, but given my husband options based on his condition. Payments as well as medical history can all be viewed and handled online, which is a first for us and incredibly convenient. There have been many times when my husband has had blood work done and Dr Byrnes secretary would call with results and/or suggestions, rather than make my husband go there for another appointment to find out, as happened to us with another hepatologist. We also can view it online at our convenience! Finally my husband needed a lot of extra paperwork filled out on multiple occasions to clear him for work assignments and job applications. This most certainly added to their workload considerably, but Dr Byrne and his secretary handled this with out ever a paying appointment or a complaint. We are forever grateful for our treatment at the mayo clinic by Dr Byrne and staff. The May Clinic campus is also absolutely gorgeous to visit and walk around. We love the botanical garden walk and take pictures every time we go! Volunteers drive golf carts to give people rides and there are lovely places to sit and relax, as well as take strolls.

The first two appointments went well with a good treatment by intern. Third appointment a new intern who was less knowledgeable. My main frustration with Mayo is they are a teaching organization and you rarely end up seeing the same doctor for any length of time. It is difficult to establish a on going relationship with their doctors.

June 2011, I had a mastectomy for breast cancer. Dr. Casey performed the surgery and implanted a device for reconstructing the breast. At the same time, he did a reduction on my healthy breast. July 2011, my reconstruction became infected and he removed the implant. August 2011, I was admitted again to Mayo Hospital with toxic shock, C. Dif., and a VRE infection of the mastectomy side. I wound up in a wheelchair for months following the last admission. the resulting surgery on the cancerous breast is awful, the breast with the reduction is off center. I would never recommend him or his staff.

I was very impressed with the reviews on Angie's List for this provider and because of that I was willing to wait for an available new patient appointment with Dr. Tatera. As it turned out she had a cancellation for 4 days after my call and the visit was so very thorough and Dr. Tatera was very professional and down to earth in her mannerism and easy to talk to. I am very happy so far with my choice based on the reviews I saw on Angie's List.

They were very thoughtful and attentive, and answered all my questions.
There are appointments for ever aspect of your treatment all with different people and in two different buildings. The buildings are next to one another.
There is plenty of parking. There is a valet service, but I parked my own car and took a ride on the golf cart into the front entrance.
Every specialist gives you a folder of information to read. It can be a lot of reading and in some ways over welming.
They generally schedule appointments with each specialist without consulting you first. Sometimes the appoints are 1-2 hours apart in one day. I kept their scedule and did not reschedule
Every visit is an appointment that must be scheduled
All these detailed appointments are a charge against your insurance, so the patient's financial responsibilities are higher than other places.
I would go there again if I needed more treatment.

I really like them. Their quality of their medical care and they've got good care the problem is you can't access it. My wife and I are both over 70 and we have Medicare with a very good, the best Medicare supplement that you can get. They charge like 15% premium above the normal insurance cost and my supplement would pay with that. Any difference between what Medicare will approve and what the charges my insurance company pays for. So, I would have been able to pay their full fee however because I have Medicare they turn me down. They said they will not give me an appointment. I looked online and they said they take Medicare but they lied, they do not. They might take them on other offices but here they do not.

He personally called me and told me my results. He really took good care of me. It wasn't like cancer  or anything so they sent me over to dermatology because of the hair loss and they sent me to rheumatology because they felt that was the root cause.

He was very good. I went to him with a very difficult situation that was very difficult to diagnose, and really did not ever truly diagnose this, but we did not treat it either.  He was conservative in his treatment as I had only one kidney. I like his conservative treatment because obviously anything I take has to pass through that one single kidney and I do not have backup anymore, I am sensitive to that.  I told him of the situation when I went in January that he was a miracle worker as eventually, this went back six to seven months, but was slowly getting better. He was conservative enough to let me continue to do that without aggressive treatment as long as it was getting better.  He followed it though as the body cured itself.  I like his manner and ability to be conservative where he should be conservative.  I was a medical administrator for thirty years. I know all the in’s and out’s of doctors. I worked with doctors on a daily basis for thirty years and know them intimately. I was a director of a specialty group. I have worked with all the specialties.  I would use his practice again the future.

It is very clean. They offer assistance for directions. Parking and places are easily accessible. I did not encounter one rude person the whole time I was there. I will certainly continue to go to this facility.

I injured my foot and went to Mayo Clinic, the appointment was in a week. The clinic helped me make sure my insurance woulds cover the charges. The staff was very helpful and explained the steps of check in, having the x-ray, and seeing the doctor. I had to have an MRI and they made sure the timing would work for me and explained what to expect during the MRI.

Dr. Claridge was very informitive, explain treatment as well as what could happen if I didn't treat the foot.
I would see Dr. Claridge again and recommend him.

The experience was easy from start to finish. They were pleasant and helpful from setting the appointment, giving directions on travel and what to expect at the appointment and exam. Everything went smoothly once I arrived and they were even able to see me sooner than scheduled since I had arrived early. They explained the process of the tests and what they were testing for then explained the results thoroughly and answered all my questions patiently and with understanding of my concerns both from my disability and my financial inquiries. I was given several recommendations on how to follow up and what to llok for in my need for hearing aids. I was very pleased with the experience.
