Good quality work, good efficiency/speed; would use again

He did a wonderful job. He got sick in the middle of it and I felt really bad about it. It took him a little longer than it should have but everyone gets sick, that is just the way it goes. But, other than that he did really nice job, super good. We were very happy with him. He was very careful about what he does, was very neat and professional. He is all A's on everything. I would definitely use him again in future; in fact, we might be using him again to put in some tile in our living room. He was very, very knowledgeable about everything he was doing.

Everything went better than could be hoped. Room is now the most used space in the house.

Marc is a highly skilled craftsman and perfectionist. The job could not have gone better. He is a company of one person, so speed is not his strongest point. He is, however, responsive and professional with unquestionable integrity.

Marc did a great job! I am so pleased with the bathroom that he gutted (except for the bathtub) and completely redid. This was the first time I redid a bathroom and I felt completely comfortable with Marc helping me select items as well as his recommendations (example: add an extra exhaust fan). We left the bathtub and redid all the bath tile, floor tile, vanity, sink and countertop, fixture, lighting and also removed the drop ceiling around the old ceiling light fixture. He showed me alternatives and guided me to choose the optimal materials for the look I wanted while saving money where it wouldn't show. His work is meticulous and he kept us informed each and every step of the way. Because he is a perfectionist, the job took longer than anticipated, but it was worth the wait. Also, I work from home and the work site was always neat and clean. Marc is the consummate professional. I have already asked him to do another bathroom in Jan '08. I would recommend him for any job!

Overall it went very, very well. Marc is a true craftsman and holds himself to a very high workmanship standards. His tile work is amazing. If he is dissatisfied with some aspect of the job, he re-does it. He bids a remodeling job based on square feet and overall job required in terms of his labor. If unexpected difficulties arise, the bid does not change. Of course if you change the job, there may be a change in the price. Adding the sound system in the ceiling of the master BR was an afterthought and not included in the original bid. The price of materials is determined by how expensive your taste is. He does not mark up materials and passes any contractor's discount directly on to you. We gave Marc a credit card to purchase materials with, which he used responsibly. Finally Marc works solo most of the time. If you need a large crew to finish a job in 3 days, you may wish to look elsewhere. We are so happy with Marc's work, we are currently planning a kitchen remodel. He is also building an addition on our home.

Phenomenal job. I love my kitchen. He is a tremendous professional. Very meticulous.

Due to unforseen issues beyond his control (walls not plumb in my house, original construction was under par) things took longer than anticipated. But, Mark kept me apprised all the time and I absolutely love the results. I was completely comfortable with him working in my house while I was at work, and while my mother was visiting. The results are exactly what I need; very high quality. This will help sell my house if I ever move. Mark worked with me to select appropriate materials and had suggestions to keep things on budget. Mark also stays in touch. He kept me up to date with what was going on with the project, and let me know what his schedule would be.

We had some problems; the job took quite a bit longer than expected, but part of that was not Marc's fault - the company that cut the glass for the walls and doors cut it wrong - TWICE - which added an additional 2 weeks to the job. Marc worked with the mis-cut glass though, and we're happy with the result. We had a few tense moments, but in the end Marc stood by his work (including the glass) and said we could call him back if we're not happy with anything.

Did an excellent job. Was very professional and precise and work done in proper time. Will definitely use him in the future.

Marc Skonberg is a real craftsman who takes great pride in the work he does. He does what it takes to get the job done and will go the extra mile (and sometimes miles; like relocating a light fixture to accommodate an extra tall vanity mirror) to make things just right. Marc has a great design sense knows how to translate his customer's wishes into beautiful, livable, usable and effective three-dimensional spaces.

A very responsible and hard working person, whose work is impeccable. If you want the best work possible, this is a good man to hire.
