I needed an old Studio Wurlitzer piano tuned and a key mechanism repaired. I found Lawrence Fish on Angie's List, close to where I live. A very personable elderly gentleman, he showed up exactly on time, inspected the piano minutely, and told me that because of the age of the bass strings, the piano should NOT be tuned ("It plays well enough as it is") ... thereby forgoing a potentially substantial fee. He pointed out a couple of minor age-related defects ("Not worth repairing yet"), brought the upper registers in tune with the lower, and repaired the broken key mechanism. Although he had originally quoted me $80 for the visit, he invoiced me only $45. I would DEFINITELY recommend Lawrence Fish to everyone who needs a piano tuned or repaired; though bear in mind that because of his age he no longer tackles major projects like sound board repair.

MR. FISH IS A VERY EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL PIANO TUNER. HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR A REASONABLE PRICE.
