Bought two leather swivel and rocker chairs about a year ago for 3,200. A month ago, a repair service person with the company was out to fix one of the chairs which had a disturbing squeak/rubbing when moving front and back. Service person informed me that this was NOT a rocking chair. So why did it rock back and forth. That is why we bought it. It was manufactured by La Z Boy and had a lifetime guaranty. It was clear that the chair was made to swivel and rock slightly back and forth. He said he would have to order a new platform board, but there was no rocking bracket. Who would make a chair like that? One month later I called to ask if the flat board was ready. They make it sound like it was a complicated part that had to be manufactured. In fact, it could have come from Ace hardware. End result, it still squeaks. One other annoying thing. They don't give a hoot about the customer's availability. A 4 hour window has to do even if you have to take off work. And their scheduling department is very inflexible. So much for customer care!
