In preparation for installation of solar panels I wanted to be proactive to be sure the roof would be in shape to last the longevity of the solar panels.

Sal came by and measured the area in question and provided a written estimate the next day. I agreed to the job and it was scheduled for a few days later.

His crew showed up on time both days and the work was done efficiently and properly.

Basically all the tiles are removed and carefully stacked. The old wood slats the tiles are place on are removed. Then new underlayment is installed, new slats installed and the tile replaced. Any tiles that were damaged in the process were replaced as well. (There was only a couple).

The next day Sal Jr. came by and inspected the job and over saw the cleanup. The area was left as clean as can be.

All of the people I had interaction with could not have been nicer and more helpful.

Full disclosure: I had an experience with Inca a couple years ago at a commercial building I was working in. The experience was very positive and hence the reason I called Inca for my home.

Our experience with the owner, Sal, was great. He was very professional and we felt confident hiring them to complete the job. We encountered a few hiccups, but one call to Sal rectified the issues immediately. Make sure you work with Sal and have his contact info in case of any issues. I'm very pleased with the work they performed on the roof. I would recommend them to anyone looking to re-roof their flat roofed homes.

Overall experience was only OK; I am going back and forth deciding on overall grade of B or C. They were prompt at coming out for the estimate and really seemed to know what they were doing. Very professional. Their bid was right in line to where I felt it should be in comparison to others that had proposed. In addition to Angie, also looked into BBB and Registrar of Contractors and decided to go with Inca. They started the project on schedule and completed on schedule. After tear off, I noticed how deep a depression there was in our roof over an 800 square foot portion (still don't understand why the original builder did it that way) and asked Inca for a change order to increase the foam thickness in that area and to taper it for better drainage. Did the final walkthrough of the seemingly quality job and paid the balance of money owed. Mistake. One of my skylights was delayed in shipping and once it arrived, it took many phone calls to get Inca back out to complete the simple installation as previously agreed as well as fix the wood sleepers supporting my solar water heater. In the days following the roof installation, I found many other problems that no amount of phone calls have been able to get them back out: overspray around the heat pumps and fuse boxes, one heat pump unlevel so condensate doesn't drain properly and floods below the unit, electrical conduit to swamp cooler shoved down through roof so that switchbox in garage was damaged, etc. After a rain, there are the expected puddles but quite a bit bigger than I had imagined. The installation of the foam could have been smoother. In retrospect, I should have done a much more thorough walkthrough and inspection of the final work, taking my time and looking for absolutely everything before signing the final check.
