Everything about working with Imperial Excavating was great. Justin and Fatima answered all questions and explained the process. The crew that came out worked amazingly hard, were punctual, cleaned up after finishing and finished the project ahead of schedule. The crew was so precise with the demolition that the pavers that were touching the pool deck that was removed weren't damaged.

Job went very smoothly and as I was informed. Impression: very professional, efficient, experienced work involving complete in-ground swimming pool removal and dirt fill-in with compaction testing.

Contacted Justin and he immediately responded and was able to quote over the phone. The crew removed everything quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after removal. Would definitely recommend and work with them again.

Crew did a great job -- and were all very friendly, accommodating, and approachable. They we're very careful but also very efficient with the process. All in all, it was a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again in the future. Many thanks to Justin, Jim, Zack, and Kevin! Note: Obviously, a pool excavation is pretty noisy process, so I recommend letting your neighbors know beforehand.

Very professional company! Recommended!

Due to the small size of my backyard, this was not as easy job for them to perform. My block wall had to be partially removed. Despite some setbacks, they completed the job quickly, the block wall was redone; and it looks beautiful. I did have to have my drip system redone, but that was the price of getting rid of my pool, which was a 10ft deep diving pool. Everyone was professional, with as little delays as possible due to the difficulty of the job. I would recommend this company to anyone and if I ever need these kind of services again, would definitely call them without hesitation.

After consulting on Angie?s List, I called Imperial Excavations.  They scheduled a date and give me a very competitive price.  They started and completed the job on time, and didn?t ask for payment until I returned home from being out of town to approve the work completed.
Great work, great people, and great price.

I hired Imperial to do a complete removal of an in-ground pool and surrounding decking. Called for an estimate on the weekend and received a call back the same day. The estimator, Justin had already pulled up my house on the internet and was looking at my yard as we spoke. I asked if he could send someone out to look and give me a firm price on Tuesday, and Rob showed up ten minutes early Tuesday morning. The price was less than originally quoted (originally quoted site-unseen). They also removed a shed at no extra charge. The icing on the cake...Rob called me the morning of the job starting and asked me if I would like them to remove all the old pool fencing I had in the back yard free of charge (this was not in the original scope of work).
Overall: Very professional job, they were able to start the day after (signed a contract Tuesday, crew was here 8am Wednesday), very courteous crew (Rob, Zach, and Cruz - hopefully I spelled that correctly), work was done in two days as promised...A++.
I have already referred them to a realtor friend who has a client looking to excavate a pool and would not hesitate to refer them to anyone in need of an excavation company.

This was a big job! The owner came out beforehand and spent time checking out the electrical and plumbing. He got the permit from the city. The excavators were working for three days. They were nice and they cleaned up the area. They made sure that they placed the berms in the correct locations. I did have to ask them back afterwards to fill in some ruts left my their machines.
Response from Imperial Excavating LLC
"Thank you for the review. Our machines are very heavy and do make ruts in softer ground. We do our best to clean up and leave the yard in the same condition it was before the job. One way we do this is by asking the homeowner to come outside and look at the yard before the crew leaves, which is what they did with this homeowner. She said everything looked fine and the crew left. When we followed up with her the next day, she said there were still ruts over by the house that nobody had noticed the day before. We sent out a crew out within a few hours to fix them."

Perfectly!  It took them quite some time to find the correct matching block but they did and removed the temporary block and replaced with the matching block today.

The job went well, the people were professional, very skilled and did a very good job.  I'm VERY pleased with their service in every way and recommend Imperial Excavating to anyone wanting a pool removed!

The project went well.  Justin was professional, friendly and communicated very will before and during the job, which took 4 days.  Everyone on the Imperial crew was punctual and friendly during the entire job.
My only disappointment was that the team broke several pool pipes around the pool, which was to stay.  The breaks, which were "part of the job", cost me an additional $300 to repair.  I don't necessarily fault Imperial for this, as they were tearing out a lot of things, however, because the pool was staying, I would have though they would have refused to work as close to the pool as they did without telling me that they would likely break pipes. Documentation of the issue with the pool is more a warning to anyone in a similar situation.  If you are leaving your pool in, do not ask to have anything touched around it.  There are pipes virtually everywhere and they are not cheap or easy to fix.
I did not want to give Imperial anything less than A's on the grading because overall, they delivered an "A" project.

Because it was a small job, they worked it into their big-job schedule. Justin called a couple days prior to when the opening came available and arrived on time with a crew of three. The job was done in less than 4 hours and the site was clean and the ground compacted.

I called Imperial Excavating after finding them on Angie's List. Justin came out the next day to give me a quote.  I was pleased with the price.  I don't have great access to my back yard so we worked out a deal with my neighbor to get access through his gate. Within three days all but the bottom of my pool was completely removed, dirt brought in and leveled and a new block wall where they accessed was installed.  My neighbor was happy with his new gate hardward and the new shared block wall. I lost a cute little bush that I planted last Oct but that was entirely my fault for not digging it up to move before they arrived as it was right where they needed to work. I now have an open, larger back yard that I can decide what to do with!

This was the best contracting experience we've ever had. We received a formal indication and within a few days a visit from Justin followed immediately by a written quote. He arrived early to drop off the pool pump and within a day we had the pool gone. No damage to the yard or my new planter! We would hire him again in a heart beat!

Not only was the work done as promised, on time and with quality, but the service was also outstanding.  I called Imperial to get an estimate and they said Justin would call me back later that day.  Within 30 minutes Justin called and changed his plans to meet me at my home to give me an estimate.  He as very pleasant and knowledgeable. He even offered to use his equipment to pull up a section of pavers that were concreted together on a patio that I was getting rid of and he offered to have is workers stack the blocks for me.  This was after he gave me an estimate, so he was offering to do that above and beyond.  This company was very prompt in communication and on time as scheduled. I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

They did a great job. They did a complete pool removal, not just a partial removal where they leave the bottom part of the pool in place and just fill it in with its own concrete and some dirt. I decided to have the pool completely removed because it didn't cost that much more than partial removal, and I wanted to plant trees in its place, with room for the trees' roots. I believe the area where the pool was will not settle because they compacted the dirt with heavy equipment each time they dumped a batch in. It is guaranteed for 2 years, so if it does settle, they will come fix it, but I don't think it will. They drove their equipment into the yard through my RV gate, and they did it without damaging my gate, fence, shed, or trees. They were quite careful and did not leave a mess. They did the actual work in 2 days, with an extra day in between because they got a city permit for the work and had to allow the city inspector time to do the inspection. They completed the work when promised even though it rained. They were very pleasant to work with and I would use them again if I needed excavation work in the future.

Our pool had become a money pit that no one was using it. After looking at several solutions we found that having it filled in was the most cost effective. I used Angie's List to find out who was reputable as well as getting estimates from others in the area. The first thing I likes about Imperial was that they actually came out to give a written estimate, the others just gave me a ballpark over the phone. My experience has told me this is never a good thing and often reveals hidden costs once the work is done. Imperial did a great job, the price was right on the estimate and completed on time. There was some question about needing a permit, we live on the border of three cities and it is sometimes difficult to figure which one applies and if a permit was required and we didn't get one it could effect selling the house a later time. It at first appeared we would not need one but during the course of the service, when the electrical was checked, they found a sticker which indicated we had been permitted by Phoenix before. Imperial got the permit and made sure we checked  and future issues we may have had were averted. They did a great job and all traces of our pool is gone and in two weeks we have started grass growing.
