We had an amazing experience working with Chad and the Ground Zero team on our outdoor travertine project. At a time when contractor's are increasingly unresponsive and deliver underwhelming quality, Chad is a rare find that still operates with the utmost professionalism and will do whatever it takes to make sure his customers love the final product. His team installed 2k sqft of travertine on our front and back patio and we absolutely love how it looks. When a shipping mistake required a second tile delivery, Chad took ownership of it and covered the additional shipping cost out of pocket. When I expressed concerns with a few small details of the installation, Chad immediately visited the project and put his team into action to fix every detail and then some. His communication was tremendous from start to finish, and I will definitely be working with Ground Zero again on future projects.

I hired this company to do a front yard landscape on one of rental homes in AZ. I reside in OR, so I was concerned about how efficient it would be trying to redo my landscape out of state. Chad provided me with 3D design so I was able to see in a real life form. After all said done, once i was able to travel back to my rental, I was so impressed with the project. It was exactly like the 3D design I was given. I am overall so impressed with the work! I would recommend this company to anyone!

I hired Ground Zero to do a small project in my backyard. Just some new rock, and a small water feature install. Chad told me it would be a few months out, but I really appreciated the honesty and upfront attitude he had, so the wait was no problem for me. I can't wait to enjoy my refreshed backyard in the upcoming summer nights. Even though, it was a smaller scale project, chad and his team did such a wonderful job!

DISCLAIMER: Iâ ve never written a negative review in my life until now because I donâ t want anyone to have to go through what our family did. This review will be long, but I want you to have all the info you can get before signing anything. I will focus on facts as I know the owner cares a lot about his reviews and may try to discredit it. Here we go Ours was a ~$25,000 project. Chad sold us on Ground Zero by saying he would not be the cheapest, but that he did one project at a time through completion and guaranteed exemplary, quality workmanship. And the reviews of course. We found out the hard way the only true part of that statement is that Ground Zero will not be the cheapest BOTTOM LINE: Do NOT do business with this company! - Chad will pass the buck. Not once did he say he had made a mistake and that he would make it right. Delays were the suppliers fault. Everything else was blamed on the crew, which I did not buy after a while because they were always great once they showed up. - Project planning was drawn out. Chad would promise drawings/plans/contract documents by a certain date, and I would only receive them after 5+ days, but only when I followed up. He was often hours later than he said, which caused multiple issues as I had to come home from my work at Luke AFB to meet with him during the duty day. When I mentioned my frustration, I was told the landscaping business is â just like that - No less than 7 no shows during installation! No explanations or contact until I followed up with them. - 9+ months of delays (see below timeline), even through a military deployment; my wife had to take over follow-ups with this on top of deployment stress - 3+ times coming to fix turf seam issue (which made it worse until the full replacement). - Refusal to return and finish the job until we submitted a Registrar of Contractors complaint. Even after that, it took him 3 months for him to send his crew to finish the job! I was honestly dealing with the delays without planning to write a negative review until Chad flat out refused to finish the job and fix the issues. None of them were a big deal by themselves, but all of it snowballed into a major stressor for me and my family. Especially to my military brothers and sisters: go to someone else. Chad knew I was deploying and he delayed/did not show up for months. This forced my wife to take this stress on after I left for the Middle East while taking care of 4 kids by herself! Chad and his company eventually refused to finish our yard at all, saying we had violated the warranty (see email screenshots for more details). Ground Zero began our project on 29 Dec 2020. They finished their work on 11 Oct 21, and they never replaced the broken tree I brought up the week it was planted. No survey or QC of the project was ever completed in spite of multiple requests to fix issues and complete the project. Once we submitted the official complaint, Chad even tried to get out of finishing by saying the seam looked altered, so he could not do anything about it. Thankfully I kept records of the attempted fixes with photos, and he was overruled by the Inspector. You can find photo verification of the above info on the Google review.

Chad & his team at Ground Zero are some of the best people we've worked with. When planning our backyard, it was frustrating talking with other vendors. Not these guys. The day I reached out to Ground Zero, Chad e-mailed me to schedule a call and get some more detail as to what we wanted done. Although it took a few months to get things rolling (not their fault, pavers were completely backordered everywhere due to COVID), once we got the green light things moved FAST. Our pavers, irrigation, and lighting were done in less than a week. They were understanding when we said we wanted to do a few things on our own, like sod and rock. Jesus and his team worked tirelessly to get our yard done right. Everything was exact with our blueprints, and when our measurements were off for pavers, Jesus helped us make some changes that looked amazing. You can tell they took the time to look over everything before putting anything down. Overall we are so happy with everything. We'll be sure to reach out to Ground Zero for any other projects we have lined up in the future. Thanks!

Ground Zero did a great job on my complete front and back yard renovation project! I had a great time collaborating with Chad during the planning phase and then watched him and his team execute the plan to perfection. Ground Zero did a phenomenal job on my master bathroom courtyard and garden! They showed up early, were very organized and made sure every detail was addressed and done the right way. Ground zero Landscape Construction has to be one of the most professional and honest company's I have worked with in the Phoenix area. Chad and his crew finished a $100,000+ contract on time and under budget for my commercial manufactured housing community in Mesa. All the feedback from the residents has been nothing but positive. Execellent work, Chad and his crew completely renovated our back yard with an outdoor kitchen, fire channel, paver patio, grass aned sprinkler system they also expanded the paver driveway into the back yard. the lights at night lighting up the trees and bushes have added such ambience. Always on time and stayed within our budget, when work began they were there until the job was done. Thank you Ground Zero

Chad and his team did a superbly-beautiful job in landscaping our front yard, and did it exactly to my own design! Although Chad could have designed it all himself, he gave me this privilege at my asking. They also necessarily rerouted and added to our drip system, necessarily revalved it all too, found and installed exact colors of pavers to match the stone front of our home, laid in realistic-looking artificial turf, planted a large queen palm, redistributed our own gravel and made it look new again,...! Our neighbors and visitors constantly tell us how beautiful our front yard is now! I tell them about and refer them to Chad and his Company! Chad and his team are very kind, trustworthy, and hard-working professionals, who will easily work with you in design and desired landscaping and construction! We plan to have them come do improvements in our back yard! We highly recommend Ground Zero Landscape & Construction to Everyone!

Do not hire this company. Chad is a great salesman but after he gets the job he is absolutely no where to be found. I feel like we got the D- crew that showed up to complete my yard. Chad showed up 3 days before the job to spray paint the yard where pavers , the grass , and hills were supposed to go. when the crew started Excavating my yard they erased the spray painted lines marked just days earlier and completely disregarded everything. If I hadn't taken time off from work to catch the crew my yard would look not the way I wanted it to or pay for. I had a brand new 7,000 dollar brick wall put in just days before this Horrible Landscape company showed up and wouldnt you know it they put a huge hole in the wall , that Chad would later deni. People this company is awful do not waste your money or time with them you will truly regret it like I am now!

Chad exhibited the highest amount of integrity. I had no doubt that everything he did was done keeping my interest in mind. He and his crew worked quickly and delivered an exceptionally satisfying product. I am much happier than I'd anticipated.
