Good Guys Paint & Drywall

Good Guys finished fine-tuning the stucco from a previously removed door, that was enclosed by drywall and stuccoed by another contractor.  Initial contact...Juan, the owner, listened and per request wrote a pretty thorough itemized estimate.  Because a couple of items were not addressed and detailed on the original estimate, Juan and I conferred.  He assured me those items would be completed per our discussion.  Those items were not handled  His men instead completed only a portion of the job that ended being substandard.  They decided to place my outlet covers upside down and did not clean the area.  
One item: installing new baseboard.  I was promised a new baseboard that would extend throughout the entire length of our dining room wall.  They would replace the remnants of my current baseboard along with the new portion of wall where the door once stood.  This did not happen. The area where no baseboard existed was filled and painted.  Awful.  The new baseboard did not blend with the existing baseboard.  It stood a couple of centimeters above the rest and was bulkily filled with sealant - very noticeable.  That area was somewhat addressed.  
Another item: detailed on the estimate - damage to the top of our front window/wall.  It entailed the removal of mold, prevention of mold access, the removal of sunken drywall subsequent to the water damage, replacement with new drywall, paint entire windowed area to match, replacement of lower wall and baseboard.  The details were completely disregarded.  Instead the sunken area was quickly sealed without handling the mold, the removal of damaged drywall, and the wall/baseboard below the window.  They painted stuccoed area, it also happened to not match the current color.  I did attempt to address the issue with the men handling the job.  They just smiled and nodded their heads in agreement and continued apply the stucco.  I did call Juan who was at another job site.  By the time he came over, the men were done with that area.  He did not see the need to correct the problem.  I unfortunately did not force the issue to be corrected.  I hoped his integrity would correct the issue - it didn't.  
They are very affordable.
(Other initial contractor unfortunately was just diagnosed with a serious illness while in the middle of completing our job.  He hoped to complete the job, but could no longer work.  This contractor had completed previous projects for us - all in an impeccable manner.) 

Contacted them by phone. Came and gave an estimate. Confirmed estimate by e-mail. Negotiated price. Confirmed new price by email. Arrived on time. Performed job. Cleaned up and left. Followed up with phone call and email about work.

I actually had them for 2 jobs. First was the bathroom and familyroom ceiling drywall only. I removed the wallpaper in my family room and the walls were not textured and the glue was still on the walls. It would have been a huge job for me to do myself, so I asked them back to sand and texture all of the wall. The crew was very courteous and professional. I felt the price was very fair. There was some time mix ups, but that would be the only complaint I have. I would definatly hire them again. They did a great job!

I was extremely satisfied with their work. They arrived on time to provide a quote, quoted in a timely manner, price was reasonable, and the walls looked great when they were finished.

The owner of Good Guys Paint and Drywall did not want us to charge us for repainting but we just paid him because he came back in an hour to work. I will use him again.
