Contacted Ernie in November. He had previously worked on this machine a few years ago, so with age being a factor, we asked Ernie to diagnose the issue and if it was worth fixing. The issue was a glitch with our computer and Microsoft, so there wasn't a long-term fix (other than a new laptop), but Ernie found a temporary fix to get us through and went above and beyond to proactively offer assistance if the issue came up again (which it did last week). He again provided great customer service, prompt support and insight for a long-term solution. All much-appreciated to get back up and running when you're a small business!

Very impressed with the whole process.  Ernie was very responsive, fixed the problem quickly, and went above and beyond what was expected to provide further fixes. The price charged was very fair.  He had to take my computer from home to fix the problem, and returned it promptly.  From a customer who is generally skeptical of using contractors to do anything, it was very refreshing to be treated so fairly.  Would highly recommend.

I've had Jim to my house to do many computer related things over the years, from salvaging the data off a failed hard drive (his first visit to help me) to installing new hardware or software, to teaching me how to use the new hard/software, to fixing bugs in my computer, to keeping me up to date with strong anti-virus and malware programs.  Jim is a genuinely nice guy who really knows his stuff.  He's fixed some real problems for me and never seems stymied.
Most importantly, he can be trusted when accessing your hard drive.  Who knows what goes on when you drop off your computer at one of those computer fix-it places...are you getting a competent and trusted employee trying to fix your hard drive or is it the kid they hired yesterday who's just starting a work release program and rummages through your data just to see what's there?
Jim is very reasonably priced and never tries to sell you stuff you don't need.

Excellent, this was the first time I had used them. They showed up at the home and were able to fix the problem.

Jim and Ernie are really good at what they do and they're nice people, as well.  I've used Foothills PC for several years now and they've been to my house numerous times to fix computer problems.  Each time, I've been entirely pleased with their work and the fee has always been more than fair.

Better yet, with very few exceptions they do their work right there in your home or office and your computer works fine when they leave.  You don't have to take the computer to the store, leave it, do without it for days or longer, then come back to get it (and then have to hook it all up again).  On rare occasions, they'll need to take a computer to their shop to work on it, but that doesn't happen often.  They'll even talk you through issues on the phone when possible.  You'll get a bill, of course, but it's more convenient to work it out that way the issue is resolved immediately.

The alternative to using guys like Jim and Ernie is to take your computer to a chain computer repair outfit or call some big outfit that sends guys in cute little cars to your door.  Either way, you don't know who you're getting or whether they really know what they're doing.  Or even if they're honest.  And you never get the same person twice.  I suppose you can call your computer manufacturer's tech support line...yeah, right.  Let me know how that works out for you.

Most of us have a lot of personal and financial information on our computers and don't (or shouldn't) want someone you don't know poking around in it even if you're sitting there watching.  Worse yet, you really don't want to just give your computer to an outfit and let them have it for days entirely unsupervised...who knows where on your hard drive they're rummaging and, at best, you're without your computer for days.  With Jim and Ernie, you always know it will be one of them (usually Jim in my case) who shows up to help you.

The service was very good. The price of this service depends on the amount of time they spend fixing my computer.

We left a message asking for service and received a return call shortly thereafter.  I work from a home office, and Ernie was also tolerant of the dogs at my location when he arrived, which was helpful to me, as he ended up being on the premises longer than originally anticipated. He courteously answered several other common questions as he worked which I did not have answers to, but in the end needed to take the computer with him for further work. In spite of the computer giving him considerable grief, he stayed with it and got it done.

We had a very positive experience with Foothills PC Solutions.  Ernie arrived as planned, was most courteous, and very knowledgeable.  We would highly recommend them and will certainly call them if/when have need in the future.

My computer was extremely slow and sometimes would not boot properly. Earnie gave me an estimate, picked up my PC, diagnosed, repaired and returned within 24 hours. It required work that I could not have possibly diagnosed and fixed on my own. It was repaired at below estimate and now works as good as new!

I did purchase a monitor and made the connection as described by Ernie. The replacement monitor works just great.

Jim was very helpful in taking care of our needs. We were very pleased with his contribution and would look for assistance in the future from him. He was prompt and took the time to make sure we understood what he was communicating. At no time did we feel he was rushing to get to his next assignment.

Prompt service, knowledgeable, and pleasant experience, along with very reasonable rates. Could not ask for any better service/price. Work was performed in our home, which was much easier then having to take computer to a repair shop.
