European Design Flooring

Outstanding.

This was the second time I used this family operated flooring company to install flooring in my home. Yet again European Design Flooring exceeded my expectations. Always courteous and respectful to our ideas and input, but also bringing their expertise and professionalism in. I highly recommend them!

These guys do excellent work! We just purchased a house built in 1996 with the original hardwood flooring in pretty bad shape. There were scratches and sun fading where furniture and carpets had been and noticeable shrinking of the boards in some areas. They were careful to mask off cabinets and appliances and kept the sanding dust at a minimum. A repair had to be made in the middle of the room and it is perfect! The floor looks like new and is beautiful!

We had the work done in the fall of 2017. I always like to wait to review work, to see if the work holds up. Marin Man, the owner, was professional in every way. He gave us very good advice on the flooring and how it should be installed. He had to remove carpet in the bedroom and great room and jackhammer up the tile in the foyer and the great room (tile was under the carpet). We also had made plans to be out of town when Marin could schedule the work. We were going to change our plans, but Marin said that would be better for all of us, since the jackhammering was very dusty. Marin installed a lockbox outside for the house key. So we left for the week, just as Marin and his men arrived. When we returned, the house was spotless and the floors were beautiful. But Marin did something that impressed us even more. We got a phone call from him on our last day away, and he told us that as they were leaving and closing the garage door, the power went out in our house. Marin checked the circuit breakers; they were fine. Marin asked the guards at the gate if they had lost power (they had not) then went to the neighbors to see if they had power (they did). He then called APS to get them to come out but they would not because he was not the owner. He then called us on our cell to report the problem and his efforts to fix it. I called APS and they had replaced our meter and it somehow turned off the power and never noticed or checked it. Marin spent several hours beyond his job for us and even said he would come back the next day to see if it was back on. But we were returning home that night so I told him that was not necessary. Marin came by the next day anyway to bring us some cleaning supplies for the floor and to make sure all was OK. He went way beyond what I would have expected from a company. We have two more rooms that we want to install wood floors in and I will definitely call Marin again. And the floors are still beautiful.

This was a big (approximately 2300 square feet) and very messy job! It required the use power equipment to remove the existing tile, remove and replace all baseboard and it even required some unexpected repair work on the existing sub-flooring. Prior to beginning the dirty work, they carefully moved and covered all of our furniture and even sealed off carpeted rooms with plastic sheeting in an attempt to contain the fine tile dust created by chipping up the saltillo. I have had other construction/remodel jobs of various sizes done both in this and other homes, and I have to say I have never had a company that I could as wholeheartedly recommend as I do this one. They arrived promptly on the scheduled starting day as well as every day except Sundays until the job was complete. We nearly always had at least 3 men working and occasionally 4. It was always the same crew and without exception they were all highly skilled. As an example, we had slate tile placed in front of the openings of our two very irregular rock faced fireplaces. I was extremely impressed and pleased with the care and precision with which the slate was shaped to fit. There were many other examples of their attention to detail and responsiveness to our needs, but I will just mention one other. As our baseboards had to be replaced it was necessary to stain the new ones to match the old door trim. That required a little trial and error with samples but they worked to refine the stain without complaint until it was an excellent match resulting in new baseboards that look better than the old ones. In summary, our expectations were more than met and we are delighted with our beautiful wood flooring! It was an expensive job, but we feel we got more than our money's worth.

We had an amazing experience start to finish. Their work was impeccable and of the highest quality. They were real perfectionists. The work was completed on time and the price was more than competitive. It is great to support a family business and we highly recommend them.

The only thing we are not happy about is that too much tile was ordered, and they will not let us return the extra box for a credit. 
However, we will use them again as they have a great selection, the installer does a beautiful job, and the work in completed very quickly.

Mr. Man did the estimate promptly. The work was performed after the new tile was installed in a very professional manner. Housekeeping on the job was excellent. Quality of work was also excellent.

I recently remodeled my home with new counter tops, back-splash, tile, carpet and wood floors. European Flooring was fantastic in every way. We loved our experience with European flooring.  Marin and John were both polite, professional and always attentive.  This family owned business is by far the best vendor we have worked with in Phoenix.  The Engineered hardwood is beautiful, it really exceeds are expectations and our gray carpet is plush and perfect.  We got 4 ¼ inch baseboards which are stunning with the flooring and very happy he gave us a deal on them.  Marin and his team did an amazing job with installing all our flooring for our new home. The workmanship, detail and overall completion was exactly as expected.  John was great in always getting back to us and being very helpful on the phone with questions.  We received quotes from 2 other hardwood flooring companies and not only were they both more expensive for the same thing but the customer service lacked with one company in particular.  We are very happy with our choice and would definitely be a repeat customer as well as referring anyone we meet.

European Design Flooring ?Can we award 10 Stars?
   Having made the decision to replace 3 rooms of carpeting with wood floors, we carefully went comparison shopping, not only for the actual wood flooring, but for the installation costs, some of which one might not be aware of. Since we had considered doing wood in one of the rooms about 10 years ago, contracting with one of the big box stores, we knew that the floors had some leveling issues, so we simply re-carpeted. Armed with all this past knowledge, we were able to ask relevant questions directly as to the added costs of leveling the floor, moving furniture, carpet removal and disposal, etc. We targeted 3 other well known wood flooring vendors in the Scottsdale Airpark area, before finding European Design Flooring at Cave Creek & Loop 101. The other 3 were not forthcoming on the potential added costs. One of them charged extra for moving the furniture (and said WE would have to make those arrangements separately!), and they all charged more for the identical brand/type of actual flooring. European Design gave us a top dollar figure they would charge for prepping the floors, and it was ~75% LESS than the other places were estimating, and they ended up charging us less than half of that quote. Let?s move on to the installation, which was accomplished flawlessly in 2 days. The installers were beyond wonderful! The floors are so beautiful, and the house was left clean and
back together, and they did ?round-trip? furniture moving with no extra charge, and with great care for our stuff.
You really don?t need to shop around? Just go directly to European Design Flooring!

From Marin's first visit to provide a complete estimate (very fairly priced), to the last bit of cleanup the crew performed, every step of the way was diligently, conscientiously, and professionally executed. If you are looking for artist-craftsmen who are meticulous and take the utmost pride in their work, look no further. I cannot give higher praise for European Design Flooring, and look forward to calling upon this fine company for future projects. Bravi, tutti!

You will be hard pressed to find a better company. 90% of our home is hardwood floor, so the job required removal of all furniture, contents and vacating the house. European Design Flooring's movers came in, packed, wrapped and moved everything to a storage pod dropped in our driveway - brilliant! The movers were excellent and my wife and I literally didn't lift a finger! It was amazing!

I needed  to replace most of the tile, wood, and carpeted floors in my house. It was a very large project and I'm a perfectionist, so it was critical that I found the right wood flooring and the right craftsman to install my floors and new baseboard. I spent over 2 months talking to flooring companies trying to find the right product and someone who could meet my high expectations. I eventually chose European Design Flooring because 1) Marin and Andrea were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the selection process, 2) they had endless patience and let me agonize over the decision without trying to rush me through to a decision as fast as possible, 3) they recognized that I was not comfortable making a decision this big based on the small sample available so they ordered me a entire box so I could see how the product would really look in my home, and 4) the company had multiple glowing reviews on every website I reviewed. I am thrilled with the result. The crew showed up on time every morning for over 2 weeks and worked diligently and carefully throughout the process. The demolition process was extremely messy, but the crew cleaned up as much as possible every night before they left. Most importantly, Pete and Claudio were meticulous during the installation process. The project included installing floors over 2 steps and around 3 fireplaces. It is obvious that all of the installers are skilled craftsman who take great pride in their work product. I was originally told that the project would take 2 weeks to complete. When it became obvious that it would be difficult to make that deadline, there was no attempt to rush through the project. They worked long days and extended the deadline a few days to ensure a quality installation. At the beginning of the project, I was constantly checking out the work to make sure they understood my expectations. I soon realized that their personal standards met and/or exceeded my own , which was a great relief. This company and this crew exceeded all of my expectations. It was also important to me that their bid was priced competitively. Based on the results of my project, I would recommend European Design Flooring unconditionally to anyone wanting to install wood flooring.

Installers ( Coaudiu and Vaoeiu) did an outstanding job.  Their professional knowledge and attention to details was superb.  Job took 2 and 1/2 days.  The material and labor costs at European Design Flooring were the best that we found in our search that included 4 other businesses. The end results were new floors and moulding that looked fantastic.  We couldn't be more pleased.  I would highly recommend European Design Flooring to anyone that is considering new flooring.  In my opinion they can't be beat.

All I can say is WOW.  They are true artisans which was important to us given the cost to have hardwoods installed.  We've waited 12 years to do the project so wanted it done right.  They work with pride & ownership  and it shows.  We had a specific wood in mind that was rather spendy; their labor cost is pretty consistent with the industry.  Even if a little more, I don't think the install on this investment is something you want to nickel & dime.

They are honest & trustworthy; I felt confident leaving them in our home alone.  I like the fact they are employees and not  subcontractors.  Marin does I nice job sharing his experience for various options throughout the installation.

 Originally had them come out to quote for the wood; since they were there they quoted for the carpet.  We got a much higher quality carpet for the price of other mid-range carpet quotes received.

What a great experience to end up with a job better than even what we had dreamed.

Tile flooring throughout most of my house. I had expected that European Design would perform the job, however, we had a subcontractor. Most evenings clean up was acceptable. Any issues were addressed promptly.

I was very satisfied with the work done and their professionalism. They were very punctual from the very start, even when they came in to give me a quote. During the coarse of the work the workers were punctual, always showing up at the time agreed upon. They were very careful when they moved my furniture out of the rooms and they protected the rest of the house by sealing off the area they were working on. For instance, when they installed the floor in the kitchen they sealed off my cabinets so no dust would get in. Overall, they were very considerate of my home. They never left my front door opened or slammed it when making trips to their car. The work itself was very well done. The wood was installed with care and craftsmanship. I wanted the floors in my apartment to be even so I wouldn't feel the bumps when walking out of one room and into another and they were able to do that even though I had two different types of wood (color and depth and width). I was able to work with them on creating a unique design for my front door area and they nailed it. They did exactly what I asked of them. They even painted my baseboards! Once the floor was in, and sealed and finished they not only moved my furniture back in, but they put protective pads on all the furniture so the floor won't get scratched. Overall I am very happy with my floors. They were very patient in explaining to me what work would need to be done and they were every understanding when I was choosing my wood and stain and design. They did what they said they would, and they did it very well. I am very satisfied and I would recommend them.

We were very pleased with European Flooring. Ralph was very easy to work with as far as overseeing the project and the pricing. The installers were wonderful. They were prompt, courteous, tidy and overall took great pride in their work. I would consider them true craftsmen. I couldn't believe how quickly they completed the project. It was a great experience and would highly recommend them.

It started with a phone call to the store. I was surprised to hear that they were very close to my house and  had a showroom available Monday - Saturday. I decided to take my wife and check out the showroom for more ideas and to see what the prices were in comparison to other vendors in the area. 
Once there I was completely astonished by the amount of woods they had to select from. Not only that but there was tile, cabinetry and granite counter top's that they had on display. This made the entire experience a lot easier since it was a one stop shop. 
Once we agreed on Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors the salesman Ralph was very easy to work with and was extremely helpful. It felt that he had our best interest at heart and explained the different between laminate, hardwood and engineered floors to us. We decided to have Ralph come out to our house to give us an estimate just to see what it would come out to.
After finally agreeing on the square footage and what we wanted we received an estimate from Ralph within 2 days. He broke everything down in the estimate so we could see how much we were spending on materials and labor. This was very different from other estimates that we received since they only gave us a total price and were unwilling to share how much we were paying for labor and the material separately. 
Once this experience was over we decided to choose European Design Flooring because of the ease to work with and the trust we developed with Ralph. The first day of delivery the owner of the company himself came out to introduce himself to us and explained to us what steps the installers would take to make sure they finished on time.
Day one of this project was the most exciting. They had 2 installers come out and helped moved the heavy furniture, ripped up the carpets and cleaned the concrete slab. Then they began laying the sub floors and moisture barrier. Once they completed they cleaned up the work area, the outside area, removed all the tools from the house and left for the day. The following two days the same installers came and began laying down the floors floors. They finished the entire 1,200 square feet in two days while making sure that all equipment was out side the house and not creating dust inside. 
We had to wait another two days for the project to be finished because they had to sand and refinish the wood floors. The best part of the refinishing is that the owner was there and showed us the differences in the varnish he was using and explained to us what would work best in our condo due to the large amounts of traffic. Once they were completely finished we were in complete awe at how great of a job they did. 
Our condo had been transformed from a beaten down space to a new refreshing, invigorating condominium. 
I loved every step of the way in this amazing transformation and loved the work that the installers put it. They took the time to educate me while they were working, cleaned up every night before leaving and stayed within the established time frame we set.
I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and workmanship.

I was very pleased with the experience from the very beginning! The showroom has so many options to choose from, it was a little overwhelming at first because I did not know exactly what I wanted. Ralph, the salesman, was very patient and helped me choose my beautiful walnut floor by giving me all of the information I needed. The rest was a breeze! Marin and the installers were in my house the next week and finished the job right on schedule! I was very thrilled at how clean they left the house, they even hauled away the carpet that they tore out! I would highly recommend them because they are so easy to work with. They are all very trustworthy and made me feel comfortable with my decision!
