Dear Mr. Thompson,
I called and left a message to speak with you to advise you of my concerns before I send my report to Angies list. The person I spoke with had, I believe, Austin call since he was the person that did the work. I will not call him back, you need to hear the situation and address it with Austin. I need to speak to you about a shoddy clean up job and questionable procedure with the repair and the way the property was not taken care of. I look for your return call.
Regards,

Hello this is the supervisor with emergency plumbing. As of the weekend mr Keith Thompson is out of town for vacation and will give you a call sometime when he gets back in town. I spoke with Austin and he claims he went there for a leak fix. Dug the 2 feet layer of rocks mixed w/ mud, took him 3 1/2 hours in 120 degree weather. Charged you guys for only 2 1/2 hours. We do 189$ an hour to dig. Found the leak had problems with all the pipes in the area of the leak. So did what he could do best with the 90 degrees. I'm aware he fixed the leak? He claims he filled the whole and rinsed off the drive way and sidewalk way to the door and also the wall in the area as it was all muddy from digging. He filled the hole as good as he could. I am sorry to tell you but we are plumbers, not landscapers. We are not responsible for landscaping, as it says on the invoice. It is vary hard to determine what the landscaping with mud and rocks when they are wet. He claims he tried his best out of the 4-5 hours he was there fixing the leak. As it was hard to communicate with anyone, calling the landlord and with nobody home. He went out there to fix a leak and that is what he did. I'm sorry for your concern of your landscaping.

Mr. Thompson,
I am saddened to hear that you will not speak to me. My family had a plumbing business for over 40 years so I know what I am talking about. Your guy Austin did a lousy job, the only thing he did right was stop the leak. If you don't call me or come to my house to discuss I will forward all of the communications to Angie's list.
Sincerely,

Emergency Plumbing:
Your and quot;Plumberand quot; Austin did come and fix the leak. Austin also did the following: Chipped the walk and scared that walk Rather than rake the rocks off of the dirt then Place a tarp on the ground and place the dirt / Mud on the tarp he just mixed it all together. He completed the repair by using six elbows and short pieces of plastic when, if he had the knowledge, he could have done a swing and quot;Elland quot; and lined up the two pipes with a minimum of elbows. He then tossed all of the mixture of mud, rock and dirt back in the hole which required a lot of work on my part to wash the mud out of the rock and then rake the rock back to level, there were piles of rock left around the area, before replacing the large step tile. I then noticed a low water pressure and though that Austin had allowed rocks to enter the system, fortunately for me that wasn't the problem. Anyone with just a little common sense and a modicum of knowledge would under stand the system of shut off valves. I found that the meter lid was ajar because of the rocks that were keeping it from seating properly, when I opened it I noticed that the shut off valve was not at 90 degrees, it was partially closed. After all this and no call from the owner I am forced to send this mail to Angie's list. Our family operated a plumbing business in California for over 40 years and we always left a job looking if not better than when we arrived at least the same, with no mess for the owner to clean up. Ask Austin what happened to the yard light. It is a good thing that I remembered where the main drain clean out was because Austin had covered it up with mud and rocks.
I am still waiting a response.
Thanks Ryan!
