We prepared for the worst and got the best. We have never done any kind of remodeling to our house before and Daniel made it an absolutely pleasant experience. We had several other contractors come out to our house and give us a bid, but nobody jumped in and asked the questions as Daniel did. He gave us several options explained to us and showed us several options to possibly lay out our kitchen make it more livable and enjoyable. Every single tradesman that came into our house was very respectful and pleasant. We asked Daniel an approximate time of completion and he told us just a little over a month. They finished it 3 weeks Wednesday to Wednesday. Best experience ever, we will be doing more in the future and this will be our company.

I would strongly suggest that you avoid Diamond Granite and Remolding at all cost. My experience with Diamond Granite and, Daniel Dubei, the owner was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish. For example: Inordinate wait for product preparation and installation. When the product finally arrived on installation day the measurements were way off - nothing fit. Either the laser measurements, fabrication, of both, were way off. The installers were still in my house at 9:00 PM on installation day attempting to make the prefabricated pieces fit. The bar quartz top was so bad measurement wise that it had to be returned to their shop and completely remade. The excuse was that they were supplied the wrong sink template. Disgraceful and total lack of attention to detail. It took ten days for them to return and complete the installation. Countless Tucson Granite and Quartz kitchen countertop ads guarantee tear out and complete installation in one day. I was without a kitchen for the entire ten day period. They installed particle board on top of my cabinets after the old granite countertops were removed which was thick to the point that it is now exposed under the lip of the newly installed quartz countertops. Disastrous preplanning on Diamond's part which resulted in a very poor outcome that will have to be addressed with exposed moldings. Zero attention to detail again. My original sinks were porcelain over cast. They were replaced with synthetic sinks in the new quartz. A step down for sure. Mr. Dubei's response is that the synthetic sinks have a lifetime warranty which I was never supplied with in writing and I wouldn't trust his word at this point with all that has transpired to date. The oversize bar sink that was installed didn't take into consideration the outside the cabinet garbage disposal switch which is now hanging exposed on the side of the bar cabinets. It will have to be moved to another safe location and I'm still left with the hole in the cabinet that the switch used to occupy. Again, disastrous preplanning and complete lack of attention to detail. I notified Mr. Dubei, in writing, that he was, under no circumstances, to charge my credit card with the remaining cost due until he and I agreed, in writing, what reasonable compensation would be for the corrections that still need to be made (exposed particle board, re-locating the electric and making provisions for the hole in my bar cabinets) along with the inordinate delay completing what was no more than a one day job and me being without a kitchen for 10 days. He never communicated and definitely charged my credit card when he was expressly told, in writing, not to. It was my mistake not to take the time to read the inordinate amount of one star ratings and blistering critiques Diamond Granite and Remolding and Mr. Dubei have garnered over time. If I had, I would have been duly forewarned and avoided the grief I experienced employing Diamond Granite and Remolding and Mr. Dubei. My advice would be to read Diamond's and Mr. Dubei's ratings and critiques very carefully. You will quickly see little attention to detail and preplanning on their part along with the complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

I would NEVER use Diamond Granite and Remodeling ever again. After laying our granite countertop we were told to apply a specific sealer every 6 months which we did religiously. After 2 years, we noticed significant darkening in the areas most often touched. We called. They dispatched a rep., who told us we should have been using the "super" sealer becuase the stone was porous. Told us to purchase a sand mixture and apply to small areas to see if it pulled out dirt. Took pictures and was to get back with us about the bigger dirt stain. NEVER DID. We called, got answering machine. NEVER called back. Hired a company to deep clean the granite for $500. Didn't help a bit. We decided to replace ($3,000 stone) and move to Quartz. Called them back and asked for a bid and an "adjustment" based on their advice and lack of follow-through. NOPE. And, gave us a bid for $5,500. NO WAY DIAMOND GRANITE! Not going to pay you when you lack the service, follow-through and provide the wrong sealer product. "Not a Fabrication/Installation error." Really, that is the way you handle customers who you want to spend $8,000?

Worst experience on a sub-contractor that we have ever experienced! Do not use this company for any work. They practice a bait and switch operation and will try and hold your project hostage while they ask for more money the DAY before installation, claiming to have measured wrong and they will need to purchase an additional slab. Do no trust that when they have you sign a contract that they will stand behind it in any way! Check out their reviews on the Better Business Bureau website. I didn't and regret it immensely. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

After obtaining 6 contractors’ quote for our kitchen and master bath remodeling, none of them quoted our countertops. They would give us a range of dollars that countertops may cost, but they did not include them in their quotes. We contacted Diamond Granite and Remodeling to quote our kitchen countertops so we could finish and choose our contractor. During our visit, Daniel, from Diamond, mentioned they also do remodeling and offered to give us a complete quote. He offered to also quote the countertops separate in case we wanted to only use them for countertops. We chose Diamond Granite and Remodeling to do the entire project. They weren’t the highest or lowest quote, but we appreciated the time Daniel spent with us and his follow through on any and all our requests. Unlike many of the other contractors, Diamond quoted all the work – plumbing, tiling/backsplash, electrical, etc. of which most of these individuals were his crew; believe the only exception was electrical. Diamond removed our old cabinets, installed new cabinets, countertops, and backsplash in the kitchen. They re-installed some of our old cabinets into our laundry room. Our kitchen remodel was completed ahead of schedule and we have received numerous compliments on the transformation! Daniel’s team arrived on time and sometimes stayed late to finish. They were efficient, courteous and neat. They cleaned the project area every night. Master bath project included removing old shower and tub, installing lights in a shower area, refinishing old cabinet and installing new countertops and sink. All work was completed on time and our bathroom is amazing! I will say we were concerned with Diamond’s policy of paying 50% upfront for the two projects. We discussed this with Daniel, and he explained they also have completed work and not been paid. We were apprehensive, but decided to put the 50% on a charge card so we could dispute if necessary. I’m pleased to say, it was NOT necessary. Again, all work was completed as quoted and we only had two change orders during the entire project. Both change orders were additional work we asked for. There were NO hidden charges that suddenly came up on our project. Yes, we will use Diamond again as we have an additional bathroom to remodel. Yes, we would gladly recommend Diamond.

Terrible. Paid top dollar and work was badly done, incorrectly measured, the workman cut off a 1/2" wide strip too much and glued it back on again, chips and other damage to the granite, plaster badly damaged, delays in any remedial work which is still not finished, Dave Dubei continues to ignore me despite my summary letter to him and request for completion, his promise to call me on July 15, and another reminder to him. He writes in response to other criticism "Communication is 100% important" to him. That's a joke. I have a complaint against him with AZ ROC in hand, will write again and to say how it went. UPDATE as of 8/30/16: Daniel Dubei got in touch and arranged for repairs. He advised that he has fired the crew that did the work due to multiple complaints and now has another crew in place. It's a pity it took so long to get to this stage, but at least we did.

"[Member Name Removed], I want to start of by apologizing you feel this [Member Information Removed]. If your going to write a review please let everyone the truth. Truth is that our installers did seam a piece. We replaced that piece and now no longer has a seam. No other damages to the granite was caused. The chips you are expressing to everyone are called pitting and that's normal in the natural stone product and you were educated by Arizona Tile (Supplier) and signed off you understood. We filled those as much as we can on the day we were out there replacing the seamed piece. We didn't skip off on the job. Your job is completed. The only thing we were supposed to come back to do is drywall touch up on one side. Rachel (office manager) has put calls in to you and have not received a call back. Every time you called we answered and came to the house. I called you the day of email to speak to you. You said you don't want to speak because it's too late (it was 6pm). I told you that I'm going out of town early morning next day and that I would prefer to talk and you said no. I'm sorry but if you don't answer calls or want to speak when I have you on the phone then I don't know what else to do. I'll put in another call in"

If you're expecting competitive pricing, excellent communication and quality installation for your granite project.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
Once you've signed the contract, you will not receive any communication, I had to prod information from the sales representative Tina. We were never told what to expect, ever. I upgraded an island edge myself after the original quotation that added to the cost, never was it recommended by the sales representative. Now at this point I am questioning their professionalism and became concerned.  I checked their pricing and they were higher than two other quotes I received.  When I asked if they would price match, I was told by the owner Dan that I could cancel the contract for a $300 cancellation charge and at the time they had not spent a penny on the project yet.
The template maker either failed to make correct templates or the cutters did not follow the templates as the sections were off by 1/2" at the joint and they just filled it with caulking, unreal!!!
I had to give quality an F because the installation was so sloppy, one of the installers washed the epoxy they used to install the sink off of his hands with acetone and pored it all over my new floors. I informed the sales representative about the stains on my floors and she said she would tell the owner Dan, I have not heard a thing from Dan, nor do I expect to. The caulking all had to be redone and a section was missed completely. There was epoxy left all over the tops and sink, that I had to clean off. The installation crew has no process for covering up anything and really did not care at all. The granite fabricators do not deserve this score however, their work was fine.
This company does not care about you as a consumer, read other reviews, I only review excellent or awful experiences. This was an awful experience. When I asked about the negative reviews and his employees lack of enthusiasm, communication, and quality of workmanship, I was told by owner Dan "we're only human, we make mistakes"
What a cop out Dan, everything we experienced could be corrected with leadership!

UPDATE

The nightmare continues, on New Years Day our sink fell down, I had asked the installers if they were going to use the factory installation brackets provided by the sink manufacturer and they said they use epoxy and have never had one fall off.
I read the installation process for correctly installing our very expensive Blanco stainless steel sink and epoxy was no where in the instructions. I had to do the installation from under my sink, and although very difficult to do this way, it is done correctly.
Please people: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

RESPONSE TO DAN

Dan, you are in denial and I quote "We don't have these type of issues on our installs" you're right, I made this up and I am sure if more unhappy customers took the time to review your company you could not just say "I"m sorry" anymore.
Your employees are snowballing you, you do not have all of the emails I sent because the one you referenced at 7:30 p.m. was not my last communication. I don't have epoxy floors, I have stained concrete. It was not an accidental lacquer thinner spill, it was an employee washing epoxy off his hands by pouring ACETONE over them and then placing a rag under his shoe and smearing it further. I would never call you to have you or any employee of your company come back to my home to do anything, I just hope no one else will either.
Response from Diamond Granite & Remodeling
"[Member Name Removed], I really am sorry to hear about your sink dropping. We don't have these type of issues on our installs. I would have sent out someone to reset the sink for you the same day if you would have called us as soon as you noticed it. We stand behind our work 100% and always will. Communication between customer and company needs to take place for us to be able to address any issues. We found out about this because of the negative review you posted. Hiring a licensed, bonded and Insured company ensures you and other potential customers that if anything like this was to happen that we will be there to resolve it. When you called me regarding the communication issue your addressing in this review between you and Tina. You said you were upset that Tina does not communicate at all with you and that your last email sent she did not respond back fast enough. We do have all emails between you and Tina on record. There has been communications between you and her from day 1. Your last email to her was after hours at 730 pm and the next day was her day off. She responded back to you her next working day which made her response less than 48 hours. We do respect our employee's time off but that is also why we always have somebody available in office M-F 8 am-5 pm and Saturday 9 am-2 pm to address any of our customers needs. In this situation you never contacted us once at the office regarding any issues or questions. I am sorry to hear about your epoxy flooring. After we heard about the lacquer thinner being accidentally spilled on your floor you advised us that you would call us back after speaking with your flooring guys on what it would take to fix the issue. Instead 3 days later we received a bad review but no call from you stating what we needed to do to make you happy/satisfied by this accidental mistake. We have still not heard anything back from you as of yet regarding this issue. I truly apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please contact our office as soon as possible and we will schedule any repairs/warranty issues needed."

We have a 9' x 4' island in our kitchen and therefore had to purchase slabs of granite to avoid having a seam down the middle of the island.  This increased the cost from Diamond Granite's prefabricated granite cost which is advertised at $30 a square foot.  Overall, the job ended up being about $1,000 more than we were quoted in the sales office, due to our lack of knowledge on measuring the lip of the counter as well as the actual counter-top and the addition of the windowsill and the plumbing. The salesman was very friendly and my husband says we were promised that that extra $375 we paid to have the plumbing for the garbage disposal, dishwasher, new faucet (we supplied) and the reverse osmosis system would include changing out the hoses on the RO system.  It did not.  The $375 was for less than 2 hours of plumbing labor, which is work my husband could have done had he known.  The installers were fantastic.  I can't say enough good things about the installers, but due to the office not properly planning their jobs they were over 2 hours late for our appointment.  We were scheduled for them to arrive at our home somewhere between noon & 4:00 pm.  We received a call around 3:30 pm telling us the installers would be about an hour to 90 minutes late.  They arrived at 6:45 pm and were at our home until 9:30 pm on a week night.  As I said, the installers were great and I don't fault them for this but it was irritating.  They brought with them a polished piece of the granite used for our job, to be given to us as a cutting board. Unfortunately, the polishing had not been completed and we were told the board would be taken back to the office, properly polished and brought back to us. A few days after the install, we noticed some chips in the granite and one place where a repair had been done but was not done to my satisfaction.  I called and repairs were scheduled immediately and I was promised the cutting board would be brought at that time.  The repairs were done to my satisfaction, but it would have been nice to know in advance that chipping and repairs were even a possibility.  I was under the impression that granite was practically indestructible so I was unprepared for the chipping. Oh, and that cutting board?  "Oops.  Sorry.  It was lost, but we'll happily replace it with 3 cutting boards of a different granite.  You can use them for Christmas gifts."  That was two weeks ago, and I'm still waiting.  Basically, the job done was good but if you're promised any extras, just disregard them because they won't happen.

Daniel came to our house to discuss the jobs and measure the bathrooms.  He promptly submitted two quotes, one for each bathroom so we could take a "Construction Vacation" between the remodeling sessions.  Daniel was very helpful and his "Anything's Possible" attitude won our confidence so we chose Diamond Granite for our remodeling project.  Both bathrooms had original 1960's plumbing fixtures, tile, and flooring, and we needed to bring them into the 21st century!  Daniel guided us through the remodeling process and selection of finishing materials.  We are very happy with the final results of the remodels!  When undertaking an indoor construction project, you always hope that the workers in your home are professional, skilled, honest, and trustworthy.  That's exactly what we got when we hired Daniel and the Diamond Granite crew!

We used Diamond Granite Remodeling for two jobs.  The first was new quartz countertops in both bathrooms and a laundry room.  The installation was smooth and it looks great.

The second was a remodel of our master bath shower and tub.  Tina, our designer and estimator, had a ?can do? attitude.  We were impressed with her knowledge of the materials and her ability to put all of our ideas into a design that was useful and beautiful.  We were pleased Diamond Granite?s bid included a mosaic tiled shower floor, where the other bids were for a manufactured pan.

Our only concern was with the tile subcontractor not following the design regarding finishing touches.  The entire project took two weeks longer that estimated, but this was due to personnel shortages with the tile subcontractor and a factory mistake with the shower enclosure glass panels.

Back splash and granite counter tops installed.  Counter tops done well. Back splash was not. There's still a large seam that is obvious and they don't seem to know what to do about it.  Said they couldn't fix it but would think about yet agreed that there were some deficient areas to be fixed. They have never gotten in touch again. Our sales person even claimed that he had explained that there would be a seam and that they could not use caulk to conceal it. That's false.

"[removed member name] I have responded to your concerns within 48hrs. of the call. I came out to see the concerns you and the Mrs. had. I told you that I will take care of it and offered to come out 2 days later. You said NO because the wife was not in town. Therefore, we agreed to wait until after the holidays. Today is the first week after the holidays. You have not given me any chance to call and set something up. You have a seam disclaimer stating that you understand and that we have spoken about the seams and that they can not be invisible because you are dealing with natural stone. So that is not false. You have paperwork and so do I. You also gave us a "D" on punctuality....why? We always gave you a window frame of when I or the crew will show up and always did show up between the time frame. When I said I will be there I was always there. When we scheduled the install we were there. I don't understand the grade on that. Same goes with Responsiveness. Always communicated no matter what. I will call you later today to schedule the repair as Promised. Have a great day Daniel 602-423-4830"

The service installed new granite counter tops and a large island. The installer managed almost invisible seams where he had to join the two two angles.
