DESERT SUN POOLS

I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of the work performed by Desert Sun. The pool needed a complete remodel which was completed according to schedule. Craig communicated throughout the entire process and there were no surprises or unanticipated delays in completing the work. I recommend Desert Sun highly and without reservation.

About five years ago, our pool and deck were refinished. A few months later, the deck coating cracked at the joints and was repaired. Now, about five years later, the deck coating is breaking off in chunks. The pool surface has cracked in a location with a previous crack (which we paid extra to repair), and the ends of rebar are beginning to stain the pool coating. This seem like very poor performance in the materials that were used in refinishing the pool.

Desert Sun Pools did a great job with everything. I had a few problems with a subcontractor and Craig, the owner took care of it. I recommend them highly!

Craig was excellent in making sure all the work got done on time and in a very professional manner.  The quality of workmanship is awesome and we are enjoying our back yard so much now.

I spend a considerable amount of time researching pool companies in the Valley. I had two of the large companies and at least six small companies out to the house to provide an estimate.  Each company came out with the promise that they had the best pool design ideas and the lowest cost.  For most companies, the pool cost estimate is impossible to decipher.  If you are lucky, the bid will have some sort of breakdown of the cost, but most will simply list materials used in the pool construction.  I was having a hard time picking a company to build the pool because I just could not find one that I trusted until I found Craig and Desert Sun Pools.  After 30 minutes on the phone with Craig, I immediately knew that he was the person to build my pool because he was candid in sharing his opinions about the needed equipment, he did not try to upsell me on everything, he gave me a rough estimate on price which I knew to be reasonable.

The experience in working with Desert Sun Pools exceeded my expectations.  First, the cost estimate that they provided was detailed and easy to understand, so I knew exactly what I was purchasing.  Craig was good about sharing the pro and cons of various systems without trying to push us into what he thought was best.  A schedule was established and the project was done two weeks ahead of schedule.  Desert Sun Pools gets high marks for communication.  They were very responsive by email and telephone and were always available to answer my questions.  One thing that I greatly appreciated was the we were kept in the loop on every step of the process. I always knew what was happening on the construction project and the timing of the next steps. 

Desert Sun provided me with a good value for the money.  They were not the lowest cost provider, but they were considerably less expensive than some of the larger pool companies.  They are also far quicker than the larger companies that can take up to three months to complete a pool. Our pool was finished in about 5 weeks.

Trust proved to be the most important factor in our decision process. A swimming pool is a very expensive endeavor that takes several weeks to complete.  I needed to know that the builder would be honest, transparent, detail oriented, and reliable.  Desert Sun proved to be all of those things right from the start. I never once in the construction process had second thoughts about the company that I select.  In fact, I was relieved that I found someone who proved to be exactly as I had expected.  Highly recommend this company.

After waiting almost a week for an appointment, which I suspect had to do with my location (Mesa) compared to theirs (north Phoenix), Lance came to the house when I was at work and repaired 2 leaks in my skimmer and replaced a seal on the pump. The pump ran overnight and I woke up the next morning to find the water level back to where it started after the leak developed, below the level of the skimmer entrance. Iris, the office manager, told me Lance could return 2 days later in the late morning. When that morning arrived I was awoken at 0745 by noise of someone in my backyard. Lance did not phone me or ring my doorbell to let me know he was there, nor did he phone me afterward to let me know what he did. I had to call his cell phone and was told, after a lot of questioning, that he did not replace the pump seal correctly 2 days ago and water was running out of my pump into the ground near my house's foundation! I then phoned the manager/owner Craig and related to him my concerns over Lance's unprofessionalism and lack of skill to replace a pump seal correctly, all that water leaking near to my foundation, and my water bill expense due to having to refill the pool after Lance's error. Craig told me he would speak to Lance regarding his lack of communication and that I should be checking the pump for leaks myself. No apologies regarding the behavior or refund of service fee were offered. I would not recommend this company to anyone and my next call is to my home warranty company!

I'D TELL EVERYONE TO CALL THEM, IF THEY NEED ANY WORK DONE. THEY CAME OUT ON TIME AND DID GOOD WORK.

THE COMPANY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, THEN REPLACED THE MOTOR. IT WORKS FINE NOW, THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE HOME IS COVERED BY A WARRANTY, HENCE THE LOW $45 COST. I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT WOULD HAVE COST, HAD THERE BEEN NO WARRANTY.

COMPANY RECOMMENDED AND INSTALL A SALT (SALINE) SYSTEM AND OZONE SYSTEM. UNBELIEVABLE DIFFERENCE IN WATER QUALITY. DEFECTIVE PART QUICKLY REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY.

THE WORK WAS DONE WHEN PROMISED AND HAS WORKED VERY WELL.

THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN GREAT AND FOLLOW-UP PROBLEM WITH A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT CORD WAS EASY AND QUICK. THE COST OF JOB MAY BE HIGHER THAN OTHERS BUT I WANTED A REALLY HIGH QUALITY SYSTEM.

IN ADDITION TO INSTALLING POOL PILOT, THEY CORRECTED AN ERROR IN THE WATERFLOW, CAUSED BY THE ORIGINAL BUILDER.
