Service was quick and professional. Unfortunately the LCD panel needed to be replaced, but would cost to much and better off buying a new TV.

WARNING! Do not use Davco TV & Electronics. The only thing that Drew did that was acceptable was show up on time. After a recent lightning storm, my patio TV would not turn on. I researched through Google and YouTube, and the problem was pointing towards the power module. I hired Drew Davidson to have a look. He removed the power module then disconnected and reconnected a couple of electronic components on the module but those parts metered okay. He then said it would be "very expensive" for him to continue trouble shooting the board. At that point Drew recommended replacing the entire board. He told me his direct cost for the board was $200 plus $50 to return to install it. He then said that this might not be the only problem and I should be prepared for the possibility of something else being bad. I thought the cost of the board was high plus his lack of confidence in his own diagnosis made me decide not to continue with him. My wife found several websites where we could buy this power module between $53 to $75 so we bought the $53 one. Then I brought the board I took out of the TV to my place of work and had the electronics department look at it. My guys figured out the problem in 20 minutes and it only took $11 in parts to fix it. I reinstalled this refurbished board back into my TV and it is working great. This is Drew's job, why couldn't he figure it out and why was he trying to rip me off for such an inflated cost of the board?

When I first called Drew, I told him what the picture looked like. He immediately told me what he thought the problem was and how much it would cost to fix, if that was the only problem. He called before he came and was on time. The initial diagnosis was correct and he fixed it the first time. Extremely knowledgable. He was courteous, friendly, professional and the estimate was exactly what he said it would be for the problem I described. He really knows his stuff. I would definitely recommend him and I would definitely use him again.

Drew did an excellent job checking our T.V.'s Installed an outdoor antenna. Made sure our other components all worked.

We needed a TV repaired about a year and a half ago. we found Drew and Davco at that time for the repair. (found by way of Angie's list)
today, we were having problems adjusting the tilt to a wall mount TV and after a couple of hours of frustration, we decided to call Drew for some advice. Instead of walking us through something we could do on our own, he suggested that he'd just drop by the house on his way back to his office. Drew called when he thought he'd be near us to tell us when he was going to show up, came at the designated time and went right to work. it seems it was a matter of knowing what button to push. Drew knew.
Drew refused payment for his time and expertise.
we wouldn't think of calling anyone for TV service before we would call Drew.

I called DAVCO yesterday and Drew was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I was thrilled with the short lead time. Drew called to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. He looked over the TV and had it going in no time. Some how it was working again after days of being unplugged and dusted off. Drew did tell me that it was on it's "last leg" and you could tell by the lack of blue color in the screen. He said not to put any money into the TV as it wouldn't be worth the investment. Drew even told me I could call him for advice when I was ready to buy a new TV. Now that's service!

He came out to the house, was on time (I was 5 minutes late), and he got right to work, opened up the back of the TV, and after he checked it all out, he gave us the bad news. Our TV is an older Mitsubishi, and he said Mitsubishi is not making parts for this TV any longer. Apparently some parts can be had and others cannot. He checked out the subwoofer and it was fried. So we will have to replace both. Drew was exceptionally professional, clearly honest & trustworthy, and very knowledgeable about TV's and speakers.

The big screen tv went out and is barely one year old/usage. He came out that same day and was not able to fix it but did show me the clear problem and clear solutions and what they would cost. He ended up taking the tv to his shop and fixed it and brought it back just a day or two later, exactly when he said he would. The price to repair was cheaper than buying new totaling 200 to 300 and so he fixed it, brought it back, I'm up and running great ever since.

Dave showed up right on time. I had used him one year ago and he remember me right away.
He looked the TV over and knew right away what was wrong. He had the part on his truck and completed the fix right away.

He was extremely friendly and helpful. He saved me a lot of money by providing the phone and address of the place to get the replacement bulb. It was downtown and would have cost me more if I had to pay Dave to get the replacement himself.

This is actually the 4th time that Drew has been to my house. He has returned a few times since the initial diagnosis to tweek the initial fix. In each of those cases, he hasn't charged anything - zero for both parts and labor. The part that he has now replaced twice works for awhile and then blows out. Drew is going to do some research on his own time to see if this is something that has happened in other tvs like mine. That way we'll be able to decide once and for all if I should keep fixing the tv or get a new one. Drew has been incredibly responsive from the first time I called him, and every time he has been here, he's done a great job of explaining the tv's issues to me. A lot of people would have charged me for the repeat visits - or at least for the parts. Or, they would have complained overtly or subtly. Drew's customer service and attention to detail is exceptional, and I recommend him with confidence.

I called Drew on Friday morning and was able to schedule an appointment for early Saturday. I asked about potential costs and he was very clear as to what I should expect.
Drew showed up as scheduled and went directly to work. He was able to identify the problem within minutes and proceeded with the repair. Because of the size and weight of the TV, the job was a bit more than I had expected. In fact, had I not watched the entire process, i wouldn't have known how much work was really involved in taking TVs apart and putting them back together.
With the initial repair, the TV was working like new and he replaced it on the wall. He asked if any other issues were in need of attention. Drew also explained the full range of services that he provides.
I do not think that I have had a TV repaired in 20 years. However, this was a good experience and I doubt I could be more satisfied.
