Because we moved, I cancelled my service and returned all of the equipment (water cooler, 6 empty and 2 full unused 5 gallon water bottles) to the warehouse in Phoenix on Tuesday 12/02/14. When I called their office today to make sure they credited my account the $10.00 for the returned, unused product, I was told the Health Department does not allow them to take back unused bottled water. So, I called the Maricopa County Health Department who referred me to the Department of Environmental Resources. They informed me that this was untrue, and there is no regulation, rule or ordinance that prevents any company from taking back and re-selling unused bottled water. I would exercise great caution when electing to do business with a company who knowingly and purposefully makes misleading statements to their customers in order to save $10.00. I'll never use them again!

installed in our garage. Recently, on a
Friday afternoon, we noticed that the water flow throughout the house had
reduced to a trickle. We were not sure
why. Possibilities included reduced water
flow from our city water supply; malfunction of the water softener; or a clog
in our house pipes.
A plumber happened to be working at the
house on warranty work. He was kind enough to investigate the problem. He
thought that the problem was the water softener. He discussed the situation with our housing
development building supervisor, who agreed with his assessment.
I wasn’t sure what the cause of the problem
was. I called our water utility company.
A couple of days later they tested the water flow and replaced the water meter,
but there was no change in our situation.
I had also called Culligan water. The
Culligan representative told me to turn off the valve controlling the water
flow through the softener – if there was no difference in the water flow through
the house, the problem was not the water softener. I tried turning off the
softener water flow valve and there was no difference in the water flow.
Because I couldn’t locate the cause of the trickling
water flow, I was getting desperate. I
asked Culligan to come to the house and check out the problem. Unfortunately this was Friday afternoon and the
soonest Culligan could come was Tuesday – unless it was possible, by chance, to
schedule an emergency response technician at time-and-a-half pay. We decided to
schedule a Tuesday visit by a maintenance technician (Culligan doesn't service
our area Mondays).
On Tuesday morning I called to make sure
the maintenance technician was coming and found out we WERE NOT on the schedule. I explained our plight of a miniscule water
flow for 4 days and that I thought we had a maintenance visit scheduled for
Tuesday. They did send the maintenance
technician. He reset the water softener
and showed me how to do it in the future.
The resolution of the problem was quite
simple – reset the water softener. I thought that a confluence of circumstances
resulted in an extremely unfortunate and frustrating situation for us – almost
no water for about four days. It was disappointing
that the service call was not scheduled on Friday, as I thought, and that circumstances
made it impractical to obtain service before Tuesday.
