Chris came over , we discussed the project, he measured the wall. We had a drawing to give him. This was a complicated cabinet with drawers and shelves and louvered doors. He called us once or twice to clarify some details. he matched existing cabinets. Chris does excellent work, very professional.

Working with Chris at Chris's Custom's Cabinets was a pleasure. Not only was he friendly and helpful from our first meeting to our last, but his design recommendations and craftsmanship were absolutely the best we've ever seen. We could not be happier with the work he did. It has totally changed the character of our house - it's much classier in here now. We needed an entertainment center/bookshelf for books, pictures and the TV. It was to be the showcase piece in our living room, which you can see right when you walk into the house. It had to look good. Chris came out, made some measurements, did some initial sketch ideas and talked us through his thinking. A few days later he sent us very precise plans which we loved. The actual craftsmanship and carpentry took about six weeks. It felt like a long time because we were so excited about what we were going to get. But in actuality, it makes total sense that it took that long. He did an outstandingly careful and precise job. Installation took a few hours with two people. They were friendly and pleasant to work with. You will feel smart if you go with Chris's Custom Cabinets: smart because you chose a good company, smart because you've met an interesting and creative person and smart because the final product will convey to your friends (and yourself) that you have excellent taste.

I play the Classical Guitar and went to Chris's cabinets to see if they could build for me a wall mounted cabinet to hold 3 guitars.
At the first meeting the cabinet was designed and at the final meeting I brought my guitar to the shop to check on the fittings.
The cabinet was installed on July 21 and looks great on the wall. The people that I met during the process were very courteous and professional, from the designer to the installer.
If in the future I am in need of cabinetry I will definitely return to Chris's cabinets for the project.

Recently purchased a home in N Scottsdale with custom desk and bookshelves on one half, but an empty closet "shell" (space where a closet could go if it were a bedroom) on the other side. I wanted to take advantage of the space and "finish" the whole office. The existing built-in was very beautiful and well done. Unfortunately we found that the original cabinet builder had retired.
I found Chris on Angie's list. He was very responsive and great communicator. We worked up a plan for him to match custom cabinets/drawers in the open space. I wanted to match as close as possible the existing built-in (grain, color, moldings, etc.). We had many options given that it was a big space. We ended up designing a combination wardrobe with adjustable shleves, storage cabinets above, and with drawers below.
Chris came back with an estimate quickly and the price was better then what I got from "Stone Creek" and I had far more confidence he would match what we already had and deliver better quality and better service. We made a good choice to go with Chris.
It took about 5 weeks to do the work (ahead of his initial estimate). Chris communicated along the way.
Install was just done and the cabinets match perfectly. The wood grain, the color, etc. And the quality is exceptional. Everything feels solid and substantial. The cabinets and molding fit perfectly into the space and complete the office just like I hoped.
Chris even touched up some things with the original cabinets that were there for free and offered to fix a small issue w your unrelated kitchen cabinets.

Contractor did an excellent job installing new cabinets but the color match was slightly off. Contractor arranged to have the millwork finish adjusted immediately which eased my concerns. Customer service was second to none in my estimation and I'm extremely happy with my new cabinetry.

I could not be happier with the work Chris' Custom Cabinets did for me. They completed the project when they said they would and built the hutch unit exactly as I had envisioned. The cabinetry was built in their shop and then put together at my house. The installation only took about two hours. They matched the stain color of the previously installed base cabinets spot on. Looking at the completed unit I don't think you can tell that the upper and lower portions where not built as one at the same time. The custom made speaker cloth center door fronts also turned out just how I wanted.

I had bought the Big Deal offer of $79 for 2 hours of carpentry work. It was not an extensive job but it was not ready to install, prebuilt piece. They had to create one based on the measurement that they took when they came out. It was something I was trying to get fixed for a long time and they did a very good job of it and I was very pleased.

Chris build us a number of different units. Cabinets along with other items. All were custom designed and the drawings were given to Chris. He then built the specific items to specifications.

Carpenter came to house and essentially built a frame for an arch in 2 hours. I assisted and had all the supplies, but now way I could have done it in 2 let alone 8 hours. Well worth the money and greatly appreciated.

Chris gave us bid and we ordered cabinets in March. Paid a deposit. It took 5 weeks which worked well with our timeline. We opted for soft close big pull out drawers in the kitchen and they are wonderful. Chris also reworked some drawers as the cabinet handles I had chosen were big and interefered with two pull out shelf/drawers. His solution was perfect. Would definitely use him again. Hopefully someday we can do the bathroom. The quality is very good. He was helpful in recommending a good electrician, plumber and drywall guy too. Thank you Chris.

Everything went quite well. We called him a few days after we left a deposit to order an extra pull-out shelf which he was able to do. Upon installation, we found that a different pull-out slide would work better for our situation. He had it in 2 days. We will definitely hire him again.

Was prompt coming out to measure and give quote. In quote, exsisting shelves were to be moved to another location in garage which was extra in the price. Expressed this was a 'cash' sale. Day of installation, cabinets installed, but exisisting shelves were not relocated. Was told there was too much stuff in the way where shelves were to go, they couldn't do it. After several phone calls after the fact Owner Chris said: (not exact quotes) 1. was told the job was complete 2. was p***** a check was presented instead of cash (daughter was short $3.00 cash, so she wrote a check) 3. was told "if I send someone out there and there isn't 11 ft of shelving I will be p*****" 4. After pictures showing entire garage was submitted, a phone call was received to say they would make it right. Two weeks later, installer returned and mounted shelves in location desired. All in all, the job was completed. In a timely manner? No. Was the shelves a quality product? No I have garage cabinets at my house that I paid $600.00 for 9 years ago from Great Garage that make these look like cardboard cabinets. But, they are in and they look okay. Would I use this company again? Probably not. The one thing that really ticked me off....NO BILL OF SALE was presented. No Invoice, no paid in full receipt. Hummmmm???

After a lot of searching for a local company to build us a bathroom vanity out of bamboo, we finally found Chris Custom Cabinets. We had contacted other local cabinet makers, but none had built anything out of bamboo. Because of this, none wanted to take the job. We were afraid our only option was to use a company out of California, but the cost of shipping the cabinet would not make it worthwhile. Then we found Chris. Although he had not built anything out of bamboo, he was eager to try. After giving us a tour of his shop and showing us works in progress as well as the stacks and stacks of outstanding responses from previous customers, we decided to have him do the work.
I provided him with sample configurations of what I wanted, and after several conversations, and a last minute change of mind as to the kind of bamboo I wanted to use, he was ready to start. Because of the door style and the big variation of the grain of the bamboo I selected, he kept in close contact to ensure the cabinet would look exactly how I wanted it. The result is fantastic. It is exactly what I wanted.
I'm certain the size of my job was not one of Chris's larger jobs. In fact, I'm sure it was smaller than even his average size jobs. However, I always felt as if it was his most important job.

The price was for a couple of hours of labor. They just replaced the middle panel. I then had to paint it. My experience with them was not great. I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but I wasn’t impressed. I got the thing back. It didn’t look like it was ready to be painted. It wasn’t sanded. It was kind of like they punched the panel out. It was torn up a little bit. It was kind of like a hack job. They had just banged it out in about five minutes. They should have taken their time and done a better job.
