Chips Tree Service is a local Phoenix tree service company that has been with the valley since 2009 .We have Certified Arborist on site everyday and experienced workers that have been in trees for anywhere between 5-15 years or more. Our office staff keep a very professional atmosphere and are always happy to set an appointment, take a payment or simply help our clients get a better understanding of how we operate. Jack came out on Friday to give a quote and we scheduled the work for Saturday. The crew came and went right to work and did a great job. They hauled all the stuff away and cleaned the yard. Would highly recommend them.

I think it went very well! They showed up on time, got to work, and in about half an hour had the tree trimmed and thinned the way I wanted it. They cleaned up after themselves and were courteous throughout the whole operation. They did exactly what they said they would do. What a joy to finally find a crew like this!

Estimator came quickly and sent the crew next day. They were on time and did an excellent job cutting down tree, hauling it out to the chipper on the truck, and cleaned up so well there was no sign a tree had been there. We would hire them again and recommend them to others.

If Angie's List has a higher rating, I would use it. This was the most professional service I have ever experienced. Timely and complete. Like the tree never existed. I will certainly use this company in the future. Hands down the best landscaping company I have ever used. Called in the morning. Had my quote by noon. Tree gone the next day. Thrilled.

They were fantastic. They're wonderful. Their prices are a little higher but they're fantastic. They came when they said they would. They did what they said they would do. They just did a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves. I can't say enough good about them.

I have used COTOB for my palm tree work for several years and have been satisfied with their work. Professional, knowledgeable, and careful. This year, they cleaned up windstorm damage of an older Desert Willow, which required skillful pruning and judicial trimming to balance the tree out. Outstanding job on the Willow. I am not satisfied, however, with the work done on my Mexican Fan Palm. Specific instructions discussed with the estimator/arborist and also written on the work order was to: DO NOT LET FRONDS FALL ON THE MEXICAN BIRD OF PARADISE TREE. One can imagine seed stalks and fronds falling on a fragile limbed Bird of Paradise from 35 feet. One half of the tree, had a number of it's major limbs broken off from careless dropping of debris from overhead. When I arrived at the scene, I was stunned! I couldn't believe what I saw! Some of the broken limbs were trimmed off cleanly, some left as jagged stumps. This totally floored me. I was used to professional work from COTOB in the past. The only difference, this time, was I was not present when they were doing the work. Apologies abounded from the workers when I questioned them as to why this happened. No explanation. I called the office the next workday to explain what happened (which they already knew about) and said they would send someone out to look at the damage. Another estimator came to look, apologized and said someone would call me . No one ever called. I believe their limitation of liability does not exclude them from responsibility in this case since factors leading to the damages to my tree were firmly within their control. My appreciation of their fine trimming of the palm was totally overshadowed by the preventable damage to my Bird of Paradise and the subsequent handling of my complaint. My suggestion to others using this service would be to have someone on site monitoring the workers to insure that instructions are followed as given.

Company was very repsonsive by phone. Was able to do estimate in my absence and call with the details. Quick turn around when sleceted the company for the job. Prompt arrival onsite for the trimming of the olive tree. Major improvement from prior to the job. 3 employees worked approximated 2.5 hours. Took good care of the property and did a detailed clean up when finished. Was able to call into the office to pay when completed. Would recommend and hiew again.

This is the second consecutive year that I've used Chip Off the Old Block for my palm tree service. I have 6 palm trees in the backyard that need to be trimmed annually or they spread debris throughout the yard. They kept the price the same as last year. They have a crew that comes climbs up and trims the trees and then cleans up everything so there is no mess in the yard. They are very professional. They then send a separate crew to do the feeding. I'd recommend this company for those who need similar service.

They did a good job but one of their guys broke a pot of mine and threw it in the bushes to hide it so I because of that I would not use them again.

Chip Off The Old Block provided excellent service. On Wednesday, Pete came to our home to give us an estimate for the removal of 6 existing trees. He arrived on time and the estimate only took a about 15 minutes. Pete told me the cost and said that the work could be scheduled for the next day. The price was right and I was impressed with how quickly they could get the work completed. I had a call later that afternoon as to the timeframe for the next day and then had a call the next morning as to the specific time. This was nice so that I didn't need to wait around all day. I knew exactly what time they would be arriving. The crew was professional and went quickly to work. The 6 trees were removed including the stumps being grind down in an hour and a half. They cleaned up the debris from the backyard and my yard looked cleaner after they were finished than it did before they began the work. I would use Chip Off The Old Block again and I highly recommend their services!

I called COTOB for an estimate to remove a mesquite. they tree, The quote of $250 was a vey good price, so I gave them the go ahead. They showed up the next day and took 30 min and cleaned up all of the wood chips. They were very professional. and I was well satisfied.

. The four man team were VERY NICE. However the office staff did not respond to my HOA's regulations. They were supposed to come Tuesday afternoon. TWO times I told the office that the HOA will not let them in after 4p.m. with work completed by 5p.m. The girl promised they would come after 12p.m. and I stayed in all afternoon. At 3:55p.m. Tuesday I got a call the crew were not coming. I wasted my whole afternoon waiting for them to show up. They did the work on Wed. morning and on Thursday morning I got a call that my credit card was denied. The office probably put in the wrong number. In conclusion I have recommended them two times and I hope my neighbors have a good experience.
