Chair Weavers Etc

 I had several rush barstools that the seats needed to be replaced so I asked some high-end furniture stores for some recommendations which no one could provide.  I looked on-line and found Chair Weavers.  I called and the lady came to my house a week or so later and I had her look at three barstools and give me an estimate. I told her I just wanted the rush seats replaced exactly as they were done previously.  She assured me she would replace them exactly as they were and told me it would take about six weeks, which I thought seemed an absurdly long time.  So about 8 weeks later she brings them back and two of the seats are absolutely nothing like they were before-in fact, she has replaced them with, not rush, but recycled cardboard with green threads running through them.  They also felt like sandpaper to sit on-my children could not sit on them.  I called her after she left and expressed my dissatisfaction and she told me that instead of replacing them with the requested rush she did indeed replace them with cardboard.  Also, she took one of my stools that needed a repair and returned it in much worse condition than when she took it.  Bottom line is, this woman did a horrendous job and was dishonest.  I would never recommend her to anybody.
