Cave Creek Automotion

He said that the truck had a rebuilt transmission and engine. The transmission quit a few days later. I called and he said to haul it down and he would take a look. I got a trailer and took it down to him. He called me a few days later, and told me that he had fixed the transmission. He said that he replaced the transmission, and that I now owed him $700 for the repairs. I told him that wasn't good enough, as I had just purchased the truck. He offered to split the cost, and only charge me $350. I told him that I wanted my money back, and recommended that he keep the truck and try to sell it again for the $2000 I spent on it plus the cost of his repairs. As he did not have the cash to repay me at that point, I offered to let him keep the truck and send me the money once it sold. He wrote up a document stating the terms of our agreement, and it was done. Time went by, and I never heard from him about the sale. Through lots of missed promises of payment and tales of personal hardship and woe, I eventually threatened to take him to court in order to try and get my money back. He responded by telling me that I'd just wind up like the rest of his creditors.
