Cactus Doctor

The owner seemed to be very knowledgeable. He did not come out for the service but he was great to speak with over the phone. His crew was very professional. We have worked with other crews in the past and this crew was the best. They completed the work in about 20 minutes. The supervisor gave me some great tips about the cactus. I had no problem scheduling the service. It took a few days for them to get back to me, but it is just the one guy running the business and they are a popular company. Their service was definitely worth the wait.

This was perhaps one of the best experiences I have had with a local service company.  I contacted several businesses describing my leaning cactus and sent pictures to several of them.  One company came to the house and told me my cactus was beyond repair and offered to remove it for $450.  Another gave me a quote of around $650.  I called Frenchie LeBlanc at The Cactus Doctor who viewed photos of the cactus and thought it could be saved.  He even called me in the evening after work to review the pictures and said he would come out the next morning to see it and try to repair the cactus.  He gave me a fair estimate.  The next morning, he and his crew arrived on time and told me that the cactus was in better shape than what he saw from the pictures.  He had to amputate an arm and the top portion which was breaking off from the base, leaving a 10 ft cactus, which he straightened and rounded at the top.  He did all of this at the quoted estimate.  The cactus looks BEAUTIFUL and healthy and I am so glad that he could save it.

Late afternoon on Thursday, 12/13 I discovered that my 20 foot tall Saguaro Cactus broke apart and fell.  At 5:25 p.m. I called The Cactus Doctor but there was no answer.  Within seconds of disconnecting I got a call from "Frenchie" @ The Cactus Doctor, asking if I had just called.  I explained my situation to him and was asked a number of questions regarding how the Saguaro remnant looked, if any odors, etc.  The diagnosis was that a frost some 2 years before had damaged the cactus, resulting in it toppling over.
Frenchie offered to send someone over early the next morning to evaluate all of my cactus and remove the fallen Saguaro, which was laying across a public sidewalk.  At 8:00 a.m. the next day Chalee from The Cactus Doctor arrived, cut up the Saguaro and loaded it for take away.  He also evaluated all of my other cactus and related the info to Frenchie via phone.  Frenchie and I then talked via phone about the evaluation and what was needed, which I agreed to.
The following week (12/18), Frenchie and Chalee arrived to trim and treat the rest of my cactus.  While doing so Frenchie explained what he and Chalee were doing, why they were doing it, and plans for the future.  Frenchie emphasized that he is a cactus horticulturist and not a landscaper or tree service

Our 26 year-old prickly pear cactus had white sticky mounds covering it. It had been unsuccessfully treated by a landscaper, and the scales returned worse than before. I called The Cactus Doctor and was given a summary of proposed treatment and an estimate over the phone based on the approximate size of the plant. We were afraid we would lose our old stalwart friend! The Cactus Doctor arrived promptly (with 1 helper), explained the procedure, and began to tackle the monumental task. All of the infected parts were removed, then each plant was treated to avoid future infestation. His work was impeccable and extremely professional. He offered his expertise when I asked some questions about other succulents in our landscape and was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend The Cactus Doctor for any cactus treatment.

They brought me a new cactus for a reasonable price. They cleaned up the mess. He told us what was wrong and explained things to us we have never heard before. He was very knowledgeable. They did a very good job.

We got The Cactus Doctor recommened to us by the Phoenix Desert Nursery where we had bought 10 plants. We started the communication via voice mail and Mr. Leblanc came back to us within two days to enquire which services we exactly needed. We subsequently sent him photos of our saguaro for further evaluation. The date for the service was agreed upon shortly afterwards, the company tries to pool customers to reduce travel related cost.
Mr. Leblanc showed up on time and his two men crew got to work right away to plant our cacti, no work was needed on the saguaro. While his folks were working he provided us with many recommendations about what other plants we could plant and which nurseries would be best suited to find them. The work was completed swiftly and the crew did a very nice job connecting the irrigation lines and cleaning everything up.

He was prompt and provided lots of insight. He told us that he looked for bacteria and checked whether the water supply was adequate. He took out the cactus that fell and provided a smaller cactus for replacement. He also provided guidance for the future care. In addition, he replanted a couple of small poted plants in the ground and did a walk-around.

Is very knowledgeable and guarantees his work and encouraged me to call with any concerns or questions.Both he and his worker were very pleasant and professional. He is a little hard to get ahold of as he has no office assistance and is out on the field all of the time. You have to leave him an email or call him twice to get the answering machine.A friend of mine used him and was very pleased also.
