Brian, The Computer Wizard

I had purchased a laptop to use at those times that I was away from my desktop computer. My long-time tech had retired, so I scouted Angie's List and found Brian Woloshin, the "computer genius." What I wanted was for my two computers to talk to each other, such that I could access updated files from each. Brian spent HOURS going back and forth with this task, and billed me $300.00 plus a few extra bucks (for a cable). But my computers still didn't talk to each other. So Brian came back within a few days to try again, spending more hours at the task. He said he wouldn't bill me for the extra work, since he was correcting his own mistakes. Believing he had the problems solved, and given the time he had put into it, I paid him an extra $150.00 anyway. But even this extra work turned out useless. My computers NEVER communicated. For months, my laptop was pretty much a paperweight. My desktop ran at the speed of rubber cement. Last month, I pleaded my former tech out of retirement to assess the problems. He was horrified. He had to clean out all the work done by this "computer genius" and start fresh. Now, many hours and many dollars later, my computers are in great shape. They run fast and clean. There is no problem in having them swap working files between the two ... with my wife's laptop and tablet BOTH added to the mix now without any issues. So I had paid Brian several hundreds to "fix" my computer. Then had to pay out MANY hundreds more to reverse and remove all his "genius" work and get the thing running the way I wanted it in the first place. None of which should have been necessary if Brian actually was the "computer genius" he claims to be.

worked on desk top and lap top, got rid of lots of malware, adware etc (i am not very smart w computer stuff). he got my wireless printer working from both machines.  cleaned up the hard drives and helped me install norton.  he was on time and made sure i understood what he was doing.  i was very pleased w the service. 

He was always prompt to get back to me. Easy to talk to. Knowledgable. Was late getting to my house, but called to advise me (a big plus in my book!). Has followed up on a few issues he dealt with and did not charge me anything--a sound business practice!

Brian was great, very professional, give me several software tips. Before finishing he made sure everything was operating properly and that I understood the new operating system. Very knowledgeable. Did not rush; took his time and explained everything. Called later to see if I had any questions or problems. I was impressed with Brian and will definitely use him in the future.

Great. Brian arrived on time and went right to work. As stated he installed my new computer, installed all of the software, both new and old and transferred the data from my old computer to the new. He kept on the job and did a professional job. Also, he diagnosed the problem with the old computer, suggest a fix and might have a buyer for it. Thanks Brian.

He had to buy a webcam. He usually charges $50/hour. He did a good job.

Brian is very experienced and intelligent in regard to computer repair and websites. He has been with us for several years and never fails to make the correct repairs and educate myself and my husband on new developments, etc. on the computer. We always find his charge fair, and he is completely honest. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for business and in-home repairs as well as development of websites as he has shared just a few of the websites he has developed...creative and beautiful!
