I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT Bill and Black Canyon Automotive. The owner Bill is amazing. He's like your best friend's Dad who work's on your car and would never steer you wrong! He doesn't do unnecessary updates, fixes or replacements, but he will be honest about what he thinks needs to happen for your safety and your wallet - and that's saying a lot in this world. He came recommended to me by word-of-mouth from a friend who had Bill recommended to her, and I was so lucky that day ! His shop is far from me since I move -- over at Dunlap and the 17 -- but it's worth it every time! He has literally saved me $1,000's of dollars. Once, a big-name tires-and-alignment place told me they could NOT correct my alignment without replacing a steering "gear box" to the tune of about $600. Bill doesn't do alignments, but I called him immediately. He told me that any mechanic worth his salt knows that you can adjust a gear box, that it's easy to ruin but if the mechanic knows how to do it, he won't mess it up, and that he himself would do if for about an hour's worth of labour - I think it cost me $50. In all instances, it has always cost me less to have my truck towed over to Black Canyon Automotive and fixed by Bill, than to have it pulled to the nearest rip-off shop and scam artist coven. AND Bill does amazing work with old classic cars, too. Every day autos or beautiful collector's pieces - doesn't matter - TAKE THEM ALL TO BILL !!! They are awesome. Bill, the owner is not pushy and doesn't do anything that is not required. The price is really good and they are very knowledgeable. Most of co-workers and myself have been going there for many years.
