When my house went to closing and the inspector came out, it was found that there was an Africanized hive on the roof.
Bee Keeper removed the hive and told me it would be about 10 days before all were gone.
10 days later I was still getting bees inside the house and worse than every. I phoned and Bee Keeper came back out, retreated and the problem was resolved.
I would feel confident in using them again.
I was generally happy with the Beekeeper, except for two issues. I didn't get any other quotes, but I felt that $1,500 was high for and quot;exterior onlyand quot; removal.
Second, I know they did a lot of work on the interior for only $350, but they left a lot of honey in the walls and didn't want to come back to fix it.
We had a new hive that established itself inside of our rafter area of our patio roof. They had entered in through a crack in the stucco.
Unfortunately, there was no safe way to remove and save the hive. So, employing The Beekeeper, we had them exterminated and the hive removed.
Cost breakdown was:
$100 for the extermination of the bees
$800 for the demolition, removal and repair of the area
In terms of the company, they were very professional. Showed up within hours of my call and immediately offered to exterminate the bees.
Due to my schedule, we needed to wait a day to remove the hive. On that day, their team showed up early in the morning. The job required removal of a small portion of the roof for the extraction. We were lucking in that the hive was concentrated just in small area in the rafter; and had not migrated down the wall (and no honey had seeped down the wall). They were able to remove the hive within in a hour. The repair crew had repaired the hole in the roof, resealed the tarpaper, reset the roofing tiles, patched the holes in the stucco and finally, repainted the stucco. Total work time was about 3 hours.
Their work carries a 3-year warranty.
We are very pleased with their work and would use them again.
She treated the zone and then a few other areas they may try to enter through.
Price quote was accurate at completion. The company's workers are the key to brilliant job. Smart at finding exact bee hive sitting..the house didn't need to be torn apart. I also called Desert Sky Pest Control they were less costly. I got confused and didn;t hire Desert Sky .because of having to work with schedules. But I would definietly use Desert Sky or Bee Keeper again.
Prior to hiring this company I called aa africanized bee or some name similar. Phone rep said what may happen if you let the bee hive grow. worse case scenario. I decided not to hire them because of unknown cost and I felt helpless on making a decision because of . myself imaging a scary huge bee mess.
So in order of greatness of contacts 1) Bee Keeper total bee control 2) Desert Sky Pest Control. (less money)
I would consider hiring a self employed individual next time, a 1 man company (someone who knows carpentry and bee removal ) with lower price and insures himself against injury on your property.. It is time consuming looking for this type of company Hint: as long as the workers are at the house if you have exterior paint, get it ready the workers could touch up the area where honey discolored stucco.
