Water heater was delivered in record time. Installer was on time and very professional.

I purchased two Angie's List deals from this provider for a garbage disposal and faucet installation.   I?m in the process of remodeling the kitchen and had new countertops put in, so also had a new sink.  When Kevin got here, he informed me it would cost extra to put the sink in and asked if I wanted new angle stops and lines.  I said definitely so we don?t have
problems later on down the line.
He informed me the hourly rate was $85?   I asked how long it would take, and he said about two hours altogether.  Thinking I'd be billed for around an hour's worth of labor, I told him to go ahead.
When he was through, he told me that he was mistaken and the hourly rate was $130(?) but he would take off $25 because I was an Angie?s List customer.   He was here about 2 ½ hours.   He said he only charged for 2 hours because of the coupons I had.
At the time I questioned him, but went ahead and paid as I had two other contractors in the house at the same time and it was pretty chaotic.   I contacted the Pipe Doctor that evening via e-mail with the following concerns:
1)      If I?d known in advance the hourly rate was nearly $50/hour higher than he originally quoted (a huge
increase), and that it would take two hours worth of additional labor, I probably would have not had him do
it and had a friend do the sink install and used Pipe Doctor just for the deals I had purchased.
2)      The amount of time it took him seemed excessive, and he told me he was recently back from Afghanistan and
wasn?t sure what he was going to do with his life, so his friend (the owner's son) asked if he wanted to do this.  He said he even lived with the owner and his son.  Although he seemed to do a good job, I felt that an experienced professional would not have taken as long to install the sink.
3)      He deducted just half an hour for the other two installs I had purchased.   It seems that just the faucet and garbage
disposal would have taken more than half an hour out of the two and a half hours he was here. 
4)      He put in a sink strainer which I did not request.   When he showed it to me, I thought it had come with the sink I bought.   After looking at the bill,  I was charged $25 which definitely seems excessive for something I not only already have, but
which I could easily pick up at a hardware store for $5.
I felt that if this was someone who was not experienced and basically an apprentice, that a different price structure should have been used or I should have not been charged for the same amount of time.   I recognize he came out only anticipating doing the faucet and garbage disposal, but if he saw it was going to require more and he?s not that experienced with the other,
perhaps he should have rescheduled or asked for assistance.   I also felt that being he quoted me one hourly charge up front, and then told me it had gone up by nearly $50/hour in just one day, he should have honored the charge I was quoted.
When I e-mailed the owner of the company, he responded within 25 minutes and said:
"Kevin does not live with me so I will take it up with him tomorrow when I see him tomorrow. Kevin has done many services for our company and has proven himself capable for the jobs that we send him on. As to the time it took; 21/2 hours for a kitchen sink is pretty quick even for me however he is new and may have misunderstood how the Angie?s List coupons should be
applied to the total cost. I will definitely come up with a plan and propose an amicable solution to this situation as soon as I have all the facts.  
Thank you for your input. I value your business and will contact you later tomorrow with answers."
I was not sure how long it should take, so one of the other contractors that was on-site that day contacted a plumber he knew, and he said that being the previous sink was already pulled out and everything disconnected when he arrived, that it should be about an hour's job, with the faucet and garbage disposal additional.
Being that the owner (Chris) e-mailed me right back, I felt that he would look into it and get back to me the next day as he had promised.  I did not hear back, and I have attempted to contact him again on  May 4th, May 9th, and May 12th, and no response whatsoever.   From his initial response, it appeared that he was willing to accept responsibility and make things right, but not hearing back from him has been a disappointment.   
I plan on putting in a credit card dispute; however, I was hoping to resolve this in a simpler, more direct manner.   Originally it simply required an explanation, but when he responded that Kevin may have misunderstood how Angie's List coupons are applied, I expected some sort of refund.    I also still feel the increase in the hourly rate from one day to the next was very high and they should have honored the quoted rate.
The work itself appears to be fine; I have had no problems thus far.  The company scheduled the appointment quickly and they came out on time.  Kevin was personable and seemed interested in doing a good job.  I tipped him $20.   I also previously used Chris last year on an Angie's List deal and the work was thorough and problem-free.   I had also discussed with him and intended to use him for another plumbing project (installing a clean-out drain) so am disappointed he didn't follow through.

They were really good, have reasonable prices, prompt, efficient, professional, and I appreciated the job that they did.  I would certainly recommend them. We really like their work and we'll have them come out again.

It went perfect. They are very professional, on time and easy to work with.

Tech showed up on time.  Took out old garbage disposal and installed new garbage disposal.  Efficient, clean service at a competitive price.  I would use this company again.

After the deal was purchased took them 6 months to call us back following an email from Angies list .

They arrived on time for the appointment. The service worked out well. I thought it was a good deal for the price.

He was great, available quickly and was able to do exactly what I wanted. I was working on a project in my guest room and I needed a couple lines cut and capped, and a new drain section put in. He handled all of that quickly and proficiently, would definitely use him again. Thanks!

We discovered that the shower in the casita had never been connected. We called Pipe Doctor based on the recommendations found on Angie's List, talked to the receptionist (Wendy, I suppose), who set up an appointment. Chris responded promptly, did not have the proper appliance on the truck so he left to purchase the necessary tool, but did not charge us for either the travel time or tool. He needed the help of another person to fully search for  and locate the problem.
Early the next day, Chris returned with his apprentice, crawled through the space above the ceiling, found that the shower had never been connected. Shoddy workmanship by the builder, poor examination by the building inspector, failure of the seller to mention the problem left us in a mess.
Chris's professionalism, attention to detail, pride in his work, and fairness in price make him one of the best plumbers I have ever encountered. He cares for his customers!!!!!

The service went fine, no complains. Showed up on time, did the work. No issues there. He didn't honor the deals for 5 faucets installed I had purchased in the invoice.

Excellent work and professional family owned business.  I have used this company several times since this first Angie's special.  They installed my hot water heater and performed other jobs.  Both Dad and son (and other technician ) are personable ,experienced and reliable.  I consider them our family plumber and will continue to use them as we restore our AZ home.

Bought the big deal for a faucet install. They showed up on time, removed the old fixture, installed the new one, and left everything in perfect shape. Excellent experience.

I had a kitchen faucet that was the original from when I built my home. The kitchen faucet was over 15 years old and the handle had broken off. I was planning on doing this project myself and had purchased a new faucet, plumbing puddey and a plumber wrench from Home Depot. The wrench was too small for me to get a grip on the large nut that was securing the faucet to my kitchen sink so I decided to get a professional to do the job. I purchased the $69.00 coupon from the pipe doctor on Angies List to do the job. The pipe doctor showed up 3 minutes early, and was very personable. They did not need anything from me to do the job and actually had run into some problems removing the nut from the faucet do to the years of water and corroction, the nut had stripped and was just spinning and spinning. The pipe doctor went and got a sawza and cut the old faucet off and got the new one installed and looks fantastic. The pipe doctor was ontime, personable, inexpensive and was very knowledgeable plus came with all tools in their truck to do the job no matter what challenges they ran into. I would highly recommend this company!
