General Remodeling
The owner of this company did some of the work himself and subcontracted most of it. We had an agreement as to price and timing. The job took longer than agreed and when the job was completed, he complained that he made no money on the job. He was paid the agreed, contracted price plus extra for unexpected roof damage to the plywood. When I objected to his unprofessional whining, he threatened to put a lien on my house for additional money that he wanted. He knew that I was going to sell the house so he put me in a very difficult position. He had no basis for the extra funds but threatened me anyway and told me that I would not be able to sell the house unless I paid him.
