Except for the "white noise" emitted from the giant filtration machine, all went extremely well. Everyone was very professional and empathetic. They knew their job. And they cleaned up afterwards, taking away all hazardous material.
I had an appointment the next day with the kitchen designer. We did not know what to do, so we went online. We found AM PM Water Damage Restoration, LLC. A local television station had investigated companies that repaired mold damaged homes and businesses and determined that AM PM was the best, so I put in a call. I never even got a chance to consult Angie's List because I didn't have my password with me. I took a chance. I believe it was a Friday when I called. The next morning promptly at 8:00 Paul arrived. He explained the entire process to me. He even detailed the cost especially of the licensed professional who would be doing the testing. I asked a million and one questions. He answered every one. I decided that this company would do what they said they would do, and they did.
Paul had warned me about the "white noise" of the machine but never having experienced it before, let's just say, after about 5 hours of it, we had to get out of the house for a break. I may not be explaining what the machine does properly because I believe it did the opposite of pull air and filter it back into circulation. I believe it acted as a compressor. Whatever it did, it worked. Our kitchen is almost completed and I'm glad I called AM PM.
One last thing, the final written air quality report was very thorough.
