The failure of the e-brake to hold even the smallest of inclines liingered with the car since new for more than 10 years. Original dealer was not able to ever fix it at all. Multiple and quot;attemptsand quot; resulted in the dealer and quot;re-settingand quot; my expectations on the capabilities of the brake and nothing was done. My new home has a driveway with an incline that the car could not hold with the e-brake. Dave discussed the issue with me, investigated the operation, made multiple adjustments and the e-brake works! All I can say is that Dave and his team have accomplished what the and quot;factory trained ASEsand quot; couldn't do for 10 years.

The noise is gone and the brakes are working perfectly. Completed all the above work at the agreed upon cost and at the time specified. They were a pleasure to deal with and I will certainly use them in the future for all my automobile needs.

I have been taking my vehicles here for 10 years. They are very honest and give you many different options for different types of services. They clearly explain all options to you. They are competitively priced and and they do not sell you services you do not need. They are pretty busy sometimes, but if they can get the parts they finish services in a timely manner.

They always came in under their estimate. They do high quality work that is guaranteed. I'm very pleased, but auto services are expensive in general which is why I gave them a 'B' overall.

I went to three national chains (PepBoys, Fletcher etc) for an estimate. They ranged between $1,200 and $1,400.
Then I had the bright idea (DUH!!) to check Angie Baby's List. I chose the one closest to home.$600 per axle, Sir. So why not simply say $1,200? Sounded to me like the Dept. store pricing. $12.99 for that coffee pot, Sir, no, no - not $13.00. Cheaper than that.
I was getting frustrated. Four estimates? How many times do you want to hear those telephone numbers with Dollar signs in front of them?
OK, one more, that's it.
Enter: Advanced Auto Works. and quot;That'll be $630.00 out the door, Sirand quot;
Say that number again, please, slowly??
And now comes the part that really impressed me.
Around noon time I get a call. First reaction: BOHICA ! or, for you laymen: Bend Over Here It Comes.
Sir, I am terribly sorry but at the time of estimate I had no way of knowing that your car has an air suspension in the rear and the parts are dealer-only parts, approx. $300/axle.
Okay, we're right back to $1,200
But wait, Sir, you have a choice. I can cap off the air system and install standard shocks. Your call.
Can anyone guess what that call was, hm?
Want more? I had asked him to pull a plug and if he felt they needed replacing - go ahead.
Sir, your plugs are good for another 20 to 30,000 miles.
Sum total: Advanced's shop may not be around the corner from where you live - but if you want to deal with an honest man .........

We have been going to Dave at Advanced Auto Works for two years after getting his name off Angie's List and we couldn't be happier! He has serviced both our 2000 Durango and our 2005 Grand Caravan. He has always quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem(s) and has been prompt with estimates and repairs. What I appreciate most is that he does everything he can to keep costs down, like shopping for non-dealer parts whenever possible. He is upfront and honest about what NEEDS to be done vs what CAN be done instead of pressuring us into unnecessary services. We appreciate his honesty and have come to trust and value his opinion and advice. We will continue to drive the 10+ miles to his shop for our repairs...it is well worth it!

The work seems to be quality service. I thought the price was a high. They probably use the Flat Rate Manual.

Dave is extremely professional and takes the time to explain what's gone wrong and why. He even shows you the parts and educates you on what went wrong and why. His prices are very reasonable, and the work is done quickly. I've used him several times. This last time, he worked on the clutch hydraulic system. They test-drove the car and found no problems, and I drove it home. It felt a little odd to me, but I figured it was now working correctly. Later that night, when I tried to go out, I could not get the car into gear with the engine on. The next morning, I had to have the car towed back to the shop. To be fair, Dave paid both for the tow, and for the replacement part, which was more expensive than the one I paid for. Overall, I am happy with them and would recommend them.

I called on Monday morning to see if they could take a look at the car and provide me with an estimate for the work that needed to be done. They were able to take the car for a test drive at noon and then review the brakes and provided me with an estimate for replacing the front rotars and pads, resurfacing of the rear rotars and replacement of rear pads. Dave explained everything to me so I made an appointment to drop the car off the next day and the work was completed Tuesday. They also rotated the tires front to back, free of charge, to see if a drift to the left would be eliminated but it didn't so they recommended I get an alignment. The bill for their services was slightly less than the estimate I had been given, and the ride and braking is smooth and quiet now.

Estimate was accurate and actual cost was below estimate - a nice surprise. Furthermore, all work was performed as discussed flawlessly from beginning to end. Dave and his entire team treated us with courtesy and respect. They explained all of the repairs and what the options were available in easily understandible terms. If they were unsure about something that needed to be invistigated further, they said so, and kept us up to date on the repairs and our options. I'd say the biggest compliment I can give, is that after my first visit, I felt comfortable enough with the shop to send my wife without me, and let her completely coordinated all of the repairs with Dave and his staff - whatever they recommend - we trust they are going to take care of us and do the right thing. Ethics in business and car repair should NOT be the exception, but unfortunately, it is in todays world a reality/ However I can say without reservation that Advanced is now our one stop shop for all auto repairs now and in the future.

Initially we needed our driver's side door fixed, but knew we had a trip coming up, so we asked them for an inspection as well. They gave us a rundown of all the things they found, and let us know which we could wait on and which would be most important to fix as soon as possible. We had them fix the door and a ball joint, as well as a tuneup with OEM parts. They were very nice, very low pressure, the price was reasonable, and they had the work done when promised. We will go back to make the other repairs.

I have a 2005 Chevy Equonox SUV. My and quot;check engine lightand quot; came on and I needed a GOOD, HONEST mechanic right away. There are a lot of free websites out there, but I wanted one that had recent and updated information about the service providers. I found and joined Angie's list. I did an advance search for an and quot;Aand quot; rated mechanic with reasonable prices within 10 miles of my home. I totally found exactly what I was looking for. I found Advanced Auto Works on 32nd St, just south of Bell Rd., my new auto service shop for life. I called and spoke with Bruce. He got my SUV in right away. They ran some diagnostic tests, corrected the problem and got me back in my SUV and on the road the same day. I also had them do an oil change. They dropped me off at home and picked me up when my SUV was done. Advanced Auto Works is a small shop ran by the two owners with an excellent group of knowledgeable certified mechanics. They are honest and their prices are very reasonable, I will definitely will be going back and recommending them to all of my friends. Thank you Advanced Auto Works and thank you Angie's List, you so RROOCCKK!!!!
