I have used this service 4 times over the past year. They always do an excellent job. The first time I called them I didn't know what kind of tank I had. They asked me to send them a picture, and they immediately identified it. I also have a bad habit of not realizing I need gas until the heater doesn't work. They always provide great service, and get a truck out to me within a day or two. Also their trucks are and quot;greenand quot; and run on propane. Their rates are extremely competitive.

Called provider and a quote of $1175 for the installation of a propane was given. (Did not quote tax was additional, which was another $82). Provider had a more knowledgable person call later. That individual said they set tank only and did not run the gas lines and provided 3 names of gas plumbers to do lines. Of the 3 names, 1 did not call back and a 2nd phone number was no longer in service. The 3rd number gave a quote to install line. I had quotes from other companies that would install both for about $1750. I chose Acorn because their time line was closer to what I was looking for. However, the combined costs was over 24% higher. I had to call Acorn on the scheduled day of install to get an approximate time. They said between 11am and noon, but said they would call when they were on the way. They did not call and showed up around 2pm. They left trash on the ground from the install. I am not overly pleased with the higher cost and the marginal service.

I dealt with Mike by email and he was able to give me some great advice after I sent him a photo of my propane tank. The technician replaced the rubber hose (which shouldn't have been used) with a copper one at no extra charge during the tank inspection. The technician also found a broken valve which he replace at the regular price. There was some confusion over the amount I should be charged and Mike was very fast and proactive to address my concerns to my satisfaction. The only negative was that the technician was late but I believe that this was a once off. I will use them again in the future to inspect and fill my tank.
Later in the day the filled the tank.

A friend gave me their name. They are very nice people. I did not understand the bill and they wrote me a letter and explained it. I liked them a lot. They were great. They were very articulate. They can really explain themselves. Their price was average.
