A THRU Z DOORS

We had an okay experience. The door was nice, but I didn t feel like they really disclosed the condition of the door when we received it. We were very clear on our expectations and nothing was well communicated in the end. We feel that because it was a smaller job, we were not getting the attention that we would of if it was a bigger job. Ultimately we had to take it back because they didn't put the hardware back on it properly. It was a frustrating experience.

THE COMPANY OFFERS VERY COMPETITIVE PRICES FOR COMPOSITE LIFE-LONG DOORS. THEY WERE PROMPT, COURTEOUS RESPONSE ON THE VISIT TO MEASURE AND QUOTE, AND ON THE INSTALLATION VISIT. TOOK EXTRA CARE WHEN REMOVING OLD FRAME TO PRESERVE HISTORIC HOMES ORIGINAL PLASTER AND INSTALLING NEW THRESHOLD. KEYED NEW HARDWARE TO EXISTING KEYS.

DOOR WAS SUPPOSED TO OPEN OUT TO THE LEFT AND WAS INCORRECTLY MADE TO OPEN OUT TO THE RIGHT. BECAUSE IT OPENED OUT, IT WAS EXPLAINED INCORRECTLY TO US AT THE STORE (ALTHOUGH IT WAS MADE PER WHAT IT SAID ON OUR RECEIPT; THUS WE HAD NO RECOURSE). INSTALLATION STAFF WERE FAIRLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND LEFT A MESS. DID NOT HAVE WIDE ENOUGH THRESHOLD PIECE AND ENDED UP PIECING IT WITH ANOTHER TYPE. SINCE DOOR OPENS OUT, THE THRESHOLD WAS PLACED INSIDE. SUBSEQUENT CONTRACTORS HAVE TOLD US THEY BELIEVE THE DOOR WAS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED; THAT THE THRESHOLD SHOULD BE OUTSIDE EVEN WHEN THE DOOR OPENS OUT. ENDED UP WITH A VERY ODD LOOKING DOOR WHERE THE SIDELIGHT PIECES ARE FLUSH WITH OUR INTERIOR WALL, AND THE DOOR IS SET BACK NEARLY 4 INCHES, FLUSH WITH THE EXTERIOR WALL OF THE HOUSE. ALSO ENDED UP WITH PLASTIC THRESHOLD PIECE INSIDE NEXT TO OUR NEW TILE. PRETTY UGLY! ALSO BELIEVE THAT INCORRECT TYPE OF HINGES WERE USED.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND WORKED QUICKLY. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND WE WERE TOTALLY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK.
