The Pond Gnome

GREAT EXPERIENCE with Paul and Barbie of Pond Gnome.  Paul came out to the house and listened to our wish list.  He made suggestions, pointed out the pros and cons of various plans, and spent time answering our questions.  He is an expert on water features and we are so glad we listened to his professional advice. It is clear to us that all employees of the company have a mission to create a water oasis that performs to professional standards and is welcoming to people and animals.  Everyone that worked on this project was professional, prompt, and respectful of our property.  Our HOA had some questions about the water feature and Paul answered all their questions and concerns.  At the same time the pond was being installed, we had a crew installing new backyard landscape.  Pond Gnome worked with the landscaping crew to make sure both designs flowed together.  Pond Gnome even bought the boulders for the water feature from the same supplier the landscapers used in order to have a seamless transition from pond to landscape.  When the pond was completed, Paul came out to inspect the pond and brought us pond plants, mosquito fish, and a jar of beneficial bacteria and string algae buster.  Pond Gnome sends out monthly emails with very helpful and interesting information on how to care for a Phoenix pond.  Pond Gnome has a free yearly seminar on how to clean your pond.  They also offer those services for a price.  This is a company that does not forget you once you  pay them.  

We have waited 10 months to write this review in order to monitor the water feature.  All systems are working beautifully.  Since it is a natural water feature with no concrete or chemicals we have many birds including hummingbirds year round, owls, and hawks that come to drink and bathe. Because the entire backyard was torn up we had lots of manure dust and dirt blowing into the pond during the first 3 months.  We went through a rough 3 months with string algae during the genesis period of the new pond.  Paul and Barbie answered all our questions during this rough patch and offered suggestions that worked.  The waterfalls and pond are balanced now that the landscaping is complete and it has been months since the pond has needed any attention.  I make sure to added a small amount of beneficial bacteria every other month and that is all the work I have done. In our 47 years of marriage, we have had many household projects.  Pond Gnome rates in the top 2.  Great company and great people.  Thank you! 

It turned out well. They showed up on time. And were pretty prompt with their service. The quality of the work was excellent. I would recommend them.

Excellent, totally professional, nice people and only place in area that does ponds only, really know their stuff! They came again for no charge a couple times to add/change plants. Only wish they were closer, but they go all over valley. They are the best for your pond, or if u want to build a pond! If I didn't have one here when I moved, would have THEM BUILD ME A NEW ONE, THEY ARE THE BEST AT IT.

I like that we can choose the services we want them to do, it isn't just a package where we would have to pay for things we don't need. I am pleased with their service and I will continue to use The Pond Gnome.
