The technician showed up on time, worked efficiently, answered all my questions, and cleaned up thoroughly before he left. The technician also installed a spring hinge on our french doors, so they're self-closing too. Now I have doors that self-close and latch securely. All without making it look like a fortress. The mechanisms installed are unobtrusive, match the color of our door, and look good. I appreciate their work and would recommend this company.

Great - They gave me an estimate over the phone ($185 for first window and $110 for second window).. I was given a time span for arrival (2-4PM) I was called when their employee was on his way. He was very polite, explained how to care for my sliding doors in the future, and he cleaned up after completing the job.

Things went well. I was worried we might need new rollers for the bottom of the patio door, which would have been an added expense. But Andre, our installer, said the old rollers were fine. The self-closing device, which is a pool-safety feature, works fine. The installation was fast but professional.

We were not sure if we would need a new door or if it could be repaired.  Everyone we contacted told us it would need to much work to fix and we should just replace it.  Also that it would could several thousand dollars.  We found Slide right on Angie's list and were pleased from the beginning. They responded quickly from the start! They showed up when they said they would and were very polite and professional through the entire job. We did not need a whole new door despite all the needed repairs.  They were able to replace the handle inside and out, new sliders, a new automatic closer, screen door and tightened it all up to make it secure.  It has worked great since and would recommend them to anyone who is having any type of trouble with their Acadia door.

Company was professional, efficient and friendly from phone service to installers. On initial call, I explained that I wasn't sure whether I could repair my original door or would need to replace it so they sent an installer out to my house. We discussed all options but he wasn"t "pitching" a new door, he gave me all the facts and we both agreed it was time to replace it. I asked him to email me an estimate for two options for door replacements. When the estimates came, I called them to schedule my installation date. Since I was using my week off to have the work done, they were able to help me time the order placement so that I would still be able to get the work done that week even if the order was delayed a few days. Everything arrived on time. The installation went without a hitch, They framed out the new door so that it looked finished. I only had to paint the new frame, which was quick and easy. I love my new door! It is a triple panel with one stationary panel, allowing the door to be opened extra wide when needed. They even photographed the door in use so it might show up on their website. Thanks Slide Rite!

Arrived 45 minutes early and were done start to finish in 45 minutes.  Replaced 8" rollers and cleaned the track.  I had expected them to drill new holes to replace my existing handle since one of the two retaining screws had broken off; instead they gave me a brand new handle...at no charge.  Explained everything, showed where my old rollers had broken down over time. I really can open and close my patio door now with one finger.   Don't hesitate hiring this firm.  Used Angie's List coupon to save $25.  Outstanding satisfaction!!!

My mother's sliding glass door that opens to her back porch had become very hard to open, and my husband couldn't remove the door from the track so he could work on the door himself. We read Slide Right Door Closing Systems reviews and decided to call them. These folks were are a pleasure to work with, from setting up the appointment to having the job completed. The young man performing the repair explained how the repair was to be done and was careful to keep the work area clean. He worked quickly and was very polite. The cost was as good or better than we'd seen other places. I would call them with no hesitations.

I would highly recommend NOT dealing with Slide Right Door, that cannot deliver a product that was promised and yet refuse to refund deposit money paid.  Janet also lied by stating that this issue with the new screen doors not matching the Heritage doors has? never happened before?.

I have a Heritage 6? sliding door that was original to the house (1999). The screen door is not working well and needed to be rescreened. I called SW Patio Door, the company that I have used before and was very pleased with. I got Slide Right Door on the phone. They bought out the other company within the past year. They sent Daniel,  to come out to look at the problem. He stated that a new, commercial grade door would be a good solution. He only had an aluminum colored corner of the door to show me. I asked about the handle and locking mechanism and had to have someone take a photo to send it to him to show me. I asked very specifically about the color match and he said that the new screen door would match my door color.

I ordered the door and they asked for a deposit ( without stating that it is not refundable).  I paid the $80 deposit. In the meantime I referred a friend and they are ordering a screen sliding door from them. I have many more neighbors and friends who come to me for recommendations

The door was delivered today and the color is a yellow almond and not even close to the original color of the door (which pink in tone). With the wide sides and ends to the door, it looked dreadful. The person delivering the door, Clayton, told me that they have had this problem with matching Heritage doors before and it was a concern of his once he drove up and saw my house.  Clayton tried to be very helpful, and once the door was in place I could see that I could not live with the two clashing colors. He called the office to be told that I could not get my $80 deposit returned.

I asked to speak to the decision maker and he got Janet on the phone and she stated that ?unfortunately? they cannot return the deposit and that they have ?never? had this problem before. Of course I had already been told that they have had this problem before.  I stated that this a very bad business decision..  I explained that if someone had shown me a sample of the color up front I could have made an ?informed decision?  and that would be different..  As it was, I believed  the sales person when they said they could match the color and was promised a screen door that would match mine.  In good faith (not a good idea with this company) I gave them a $80 deposit. They cannot deliver the product that was promised and refuse to return the deposit.  It is their problem when they show up without samples of the colors, not mine.

Response from Slide Right
"I would like to start off by saying it is disappointing to see this review as I am the owner of SlideRight and we go above and beyond to please our customers. We service over 300 customers per month, and it’s disappointing to have a customer to not give us a fair report when we’ve done everything we can to please them. Our technician Daniel went to [Member's name removed] house to measure for a screen door. He showed her corner samples of the doors and let her choose the color. He informed her that because she has a custom Heritage door, neither color would match her door exactly, but the Almond color would be the closest match. Daniel also showed her pictures of an Almond colored door. The customer continually said that she “absolutely hated the door”. Daniel responded by saying “Do you only want a quote today, or do you want to order the door? If you do decide to order, we will require a deposit of $80 since it’s a special order item”. At that time, the customer decided to hold off on ordering the door, but later called the office and ordered the screen. When our technician came out to install the screen door, the customer was unhappy with the color she chose and demanded her money back. She called the office threatening to report us to Angie’s List, the BBB, and “Bad Mouth us” to all of her friends because she wasn’t able to get her deposit back. We informed her that because the screen doors are special order items, all deposits are non-refundable, as with any type of special order item. We informed her that if we were at fault, we’d be more than happy to refund her deposit, but this is the color she specifically chose and we ordered the door based on her choice. Our technician Clayton is one of our newer technicians and was misinformed about this being a “common issue”. Janet is our office manager and has been with the company for several years, and is very knowledgeable about our products and services. This is not a common issue and was a special circumstance where the customer had a custom colored door. We tried matching the color of the screen as closely as possible to the customer’s existing door; however we did inform her that in this circumstance, it would not be an exact match. I feel that we did everything we could to make sure she was aware of what she was getting, yet it was her choice to order the door anyway. Again, we strive to provide excellent service to all of our customers and are willing to do anything we can to ensure our customers are satisfied; however in this situation, we feel as though our customer was completely informed of what she was getting, and tried using Angies List as a tool to threaten us to get her deposit back. It’s unfortunate to have this review on our record and hope that customers will understand our reasoning as to why we made the decision to hold the deposit."
