Dryer Vent Doctor

We bought a new washer and dryer and after only 3 weeks the "check vent" light came on. My first thought was a malfunction, but after some inquiries and research, we learned that cleaning the lint filter in the dryer after every load isn't enough. I called Dryer Vent Doctor and spoke to Paul, who explained the machine needs clear air flow to the outside (also to prevent a fire). He explained the process, set an appointment for less than 2 days away, and arrived precisely on time. Paul was very personable and professional and instilled a lot of confidence in us. The quality of his work was outstanding: he cleaned out the entire duct, working from both the bottom of the vent and from the roof. He also discovered and removed a misplaced baffle left from original construction that was partially blocking the duct. The entire process took just under 1/2 hour. It was the best $99 we've spent in a long time. We will definitely hire Paul on a regular basis now (once a year or two) to keep our dryer vent cleared out, and highly recommend him.

My dryer smelled like it was burning and the clothes weren't drying properly. Paul explained what he was going to do before he did the work (clean out the vent from the inside of the house and from the roof). When he was finished he explained what he did and now there's no more smell and the dryer works perfectly. Paul provided suggestions to help reduce this problem in the future. He was very helpful, personable, neat, cleaned up afterwards, did a wonderful job and I would certainly hire him again and recommend him to my friends or anyone who asks me if I know of someone who cleans dryer vents.

The light went on but he confirmed it didnt need to be cleaned, he just adjusted the dryer and didnt charge us. ALways very friendly and nice

Quick service- moved in a few yrs before, brand new dryer, and the light came on saying the air flow was blocked.
Never thought about the dryer vent.
Well, it looked like the vent had never been cleaned by the previous owners.
The Dryer Doctor did such an amazing job that when the repair man came out the next day to just check our dryer, he actually asked who cleaned the dryer, because he never so anything so clean!

Just bought a vacation home in August and found that dryer just not working well and thought might be lint issue. Found this company on Angie's List. Paul kindly booked us when we would be at our house in December. We had a lot of trades there that morning but Paul came right on time and worked entirely independently amid the chaos! Cleaned the vent from inside dryer right to the roof and removed a lot of lint. Dryer now working much better than before. Would definitely use his services again and recommend to others.

I was so glad I had Paul come out and service my dryer vent. I got a new front loader washer, and noticed that my clothes were taking a really long time to dry (1 hr) Also, there was always alot of moisture by the dryer filter and not much lint. I blamed it on the new washer, but thought I might as well have the dryer vent checked. Paul set up the appt. quickly. I didn't give him an "A" for punctuality, because he showed up 20 min late. He was very apologetic, saying he told his wife to call me, but I didn't get a message, so don't know what the real story is. But, once he got here, his service was superb! When he pulled out the dryer, there wasn't much lint in the vent. I was surprised, and thought I probably just wasted a service call. But he assured me that often there is a blockage in the vent that goes to the roof. So he climbed up to the roof, and came in carrying a softball sized ball of lint, saying "here's your problem" and "your dryer should work alot better now" And he was right---what a difference! Paul was very courteous and made sure the dryer was working well. He pulled it out a little further from the wall, so the vent wasn't bent. He even re-positioned my washer and told me about cleaning my dryer vent monthly. Make sure you tell him you got him from Angie's List,and he will take off $30 of his regular fees. Well worth the money!!

Paul, the technician, showed up right on time. He complied with our request to use the shoe covers we provided when he was in the house. He disconnected the flexible dryer vent duct at the wall connection and connected his shop vac as a blower. He then used his brush and other equipment powered by the compressor on his trailer. He answered all of my questions and explained what he was doing. Before reconnecting the dryer vent duct, he trimmed off the excess length of duct. He told me that the dryers lint trap screen should be washed occasionally with a grease-cutting cleaner, such as liquid dishwashing liquid (in water) to remove the buildup of oils and fabric-softener sheet residue. That was something I didn't know. He did a thorough job of vacuuming up the dislodged lint at both the inside and outside ends of the vent duct and on the ground outside. The job took approximately 45 minutes. He charged the price that he had given me on the phone when I made the appointment. He was pleasant and professional.

Dryer Vent Doctor made an appointment for 8am and was right on time. They dont give you a window, but an actual appointment time so you are not sitting around waiting for four hours. The owner is the technician. They cleaned out the dryer vent at the quoted cost and they were courteous and neat. They showed me how much they removed from the vent and I now know that it should be cleaned out annually. I would recommend this vendor.
