When purchasing a home we needed the exterior of the house to be repainted and some spots repaired before the appraisal could be signed off. We were on a MAJOR time crunch and Wayne and his son were an absolute God send! Not only did they get the job done within 3 days of calling so that we could close on time, but they did impeccable work! I was so thankful they were able to squeeze us in. Wayne helped me understand that using grey can be tricky with shades of blue, pink and lavender resulting in certain lights. He was patient and showed me several colors that complimented the tile. The cabinets needed to be painted in order to brighten the room and he encouraged me to go with white. He was right and the cabinets turned out beautiful. The room is completely transformed. Everyone comments on how bright and clean the kitchen looks now. It is modern and timeless. I feel very comfortable with Wayne’s judgement and experience. I have hired him to paint the home I have moved from in preparation of selling it. He was always available by phone and responsive to my questions.

Slowly, painters were in such a hurry to leave, they forgot to paint above the doors (every door), and I had to push to get them to put enough paint on to cover adequately. They said they would remove all fixtures and paint behind fixtures, so, now I am continuing to finish painting behind fixtures they did not remove or paint behind. Am I disappointed, YES Would I recommend them No

"We did not forget to paint above the doors; that was what we were doing in the process when the customer came from his travel trailer over to the house property. He asked me about it and I told him that we were in the process of finishing up and that the doors were going to be painted above the trim. And we were never in a hurry to leave, we actually stayed three extra days and did more than what we were supposed to according to our contract. He had said that it would be okay to roll and brush the doors and the trim which included his two front doors but instead we decided to take everything off and spray all of his doors for him because we were able to get better coverage and they look nicer. That was something we chose to do and we used extra material and the material we used was the top-of-the-line material. We also took off all the ceiling fan plates where they met the top of the ceiling and took the vents off and painted underneath all the vents fan caps. The only thing we did not take off was the ceiling fixtures in a couple places that were secured to the ceiling. And the last paint job they did the very same thing. We walked through that house many times over with the homeowners and they even used a flashlight and inspected everything. Before we left we told him, that if he found anything at all that we needed to come back to do, to please call us and we would drop everything and come right over. They assured us that if there was anything they found that they would call us to let us know. I never got a phone call about any of this and it was something that he did not have to do-he chose to do this on his own. So from my standpoint of view, this is very disappointing and I believe it's a very unfair review but I will let others who are checking our reviews make that decision.The homeowner was also very upset about a wall coming up from the stairwell that the sheetrockers had originally sheet rocked and textured. When they had done the texture they ran their trowel across those areas and it flattened out just a little on all of the studs going across the wall. This was also looking like it had different sheen's on it and looked that way from the last paint job when last done. I advised him that it was nothing that the we could do to fix this and that it was part of the building flaw from the beginning. He didn't like that and he told me that we were responsible for making the texture look right. Honestly, this review does not surprise me."

Wayne is terrific to work with! Great communication, punctual, friendly, quality workmanship! Very happy with my experience with WF Shannon.
He painted the interior of our house, 2700 sq ft, (except two bedrooms and a bathroom we wanted to keep the same). He repaired cracks in the ceiling and at corners of a vaulted ceiling where foundation settling had occurred. Removed and replaced all window treatments. Removed wall paper border in Master Bedroom and bathroom.
He repaired extensive cracks, and many locations missing grout, in our tile floor.
Painting and repairs were scheduled quickly, done on-time, and he was available to come back and touch-up work if needed.
I would definitely hire Wayne again!

We had used Wayne's painting services back in October when he painted our master bedroom and some ugly bedroom doors which hadn't been touched in 25 years. He sanded, primed and painted the doors and made them look like new. He also went above and beyond with one of the custom double doors to the bedroom, which had been split beyond repair, and had a replacement made which he picked up and then sanded, primed, painted and hung. There was a little extra charge for this because it wasn't in the quote, but it was nominal and I was thrilled that this door was finally being replaced. He also painted the double doors leading to the patio, both inside and out. The end result of the bedroom and the doors was stunning. It was then that I knew that when it came to the rest of the doors in the house I didn't want anyone but Wayne paint them. He does BEAUTIFUL work!
The service cost mentioned above is for the second time around when he finished the remaining doors in the house, including the double front doors which I originally feared would have to be replaced due to severe gouges in the wood from one of our dogs. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous! And don't even get me started on the french doors. Wow! Just wow! Seriously, all the doors and trim in the house were just old and ugly with the original stain. They are all now a beautiful white and I couldn't be happier. He also did a fabulous job on the recently stuccoed fence, using only the highest quality paints.
My husband and I were completely at ease leaving Wayne to work alone in the house while we were at work. He even let the dog out when the need arose. :)

I arranged for my sister to meet Wayne for doing a quote as I was out of town. Wayne worked with her for the original information and then worked long distance with me as I am Canadian so he managed all of the quoting without meeting me. Very difficult for him but extremely detailed emails both directions really helped. Picked the Marquis paints from Home Depot so the colours and quality of the paints would be great. The only variable would be the workmanship. Wayne worked on the job site every day. His attention to detail was high. I have no intentions on touching up any of his work. He finished 98% of the work over 5 days. He came back Monday as promised and touched up anything we found that was not to our liking. The list was nit-picky and Wayne politely asked for the list. I walked him through everything I had written down, which were very, very minor but I wanted it so I wouldn't ever be annoyed by something minorly wrong. Wayne touched up everything I showed him and more. So within four final hours on the Monday morning, he painted all 5 different colours/ textures, cleaned everything up meticulously, and I asked him to leave the remaining paint with me. I found Wayne professional, polite, on time, didn't whine about anything, and completed everything to my satisfaction. I asked him to block off a solid week to do the work, and he did. I don't think it could have gone better and quite frankly, it went better than most of the work I have ever had done. Wayne was the best value by far. Wayne Thanks for the outstanding work. Everyone who has seen the work has been very impressed! If your a Canadian snowbird who needs quality work organized from afar, done on time and on budget, with competent workers and quality, Call Wayne.. Wayne called me back promptly and came to the house within a couple of days to give an estimate. I was having a hard time picking out a color (had 13 swatches painted on the wall), so Wayne helped me pick out a good neutral. He also suggested painting the built in bookcase a shade darker and it turned out great. I appreciated that he gave me color advice and also that his price included him getting the paint. He and his helper were very professional and did a great job. I will definitely have them come back and finish the rest of the house when we're ready.

I contacted Wayne as soon as I found him on Angie's List. He contacted me the day after I called and came to the house to help with the selection of the colors and shine of those colors. He only works with one other person and both of them were very good. I couldn't have asked for more friendly people. Even when we had a problem with paint that I had already bought one of the bathroom, he did not have a problem with repainting that room. There were 4 bedroom to be painted, 2 living rooms, a laundry room, 2 bathrooms and one walk in closet. He also painted all of the doors and their trim and the mop boards. All of this only took 1 and 1/2 weeks. As everything was a monotone color before now the subtly shades of gray, yellow, silver gray and soft green make it a serene feeling to my home. I would recommend him to anyone.

He did a very good job at a very reasonable price. I asked that he fix a couple of areas of the walls and he did that. He used quality paint and the result looks phenomenal. He worked the job 6 days a week and completed on time. I would use his services again.

They were able to quickly come out and squeeze me in because they knew it would help me so much to get the painting done in these rooms before I move in. This service was wonderful. The red paint I had purchased was inferior and did not cover well. Mr Shannon went out and purchased the brand I had initially wanted, and then painted the splash area with the better paint. (I did reimburse him for the paint purchase., included in the cost listed in this review.) The color I chose was a deep red painted over an off-white, a color difficult to cover evenly with dark paint. In addition the counter top was newly installed and had a lot of excess grout at the edges so he had some clean up work to do around the grout prior to painting.
The paint job was much more involved than either of us thought it would be. He was here for about 6 hours for a job we anticipated would be less than 2 hours. Wayne Shannon did not change the cost estimate he had given me, wihch speaks to his honesty and integrity. I would strongly recommend him for both his expertise as a painter and for his personal qualities.
The kitchen looks fabulous, the red was just the accent I wanted in an all white kitchen.

Shannon came out and he was able to do the work quickly. He came out over part of a weekend and he did an amazing job. He was putting a very light paint over a very dark paint and we discovered the paint was in an area for the plantation shutters and he touched that up at no additional charge as well. He had to put two coats on due to the darkness of the original paint and the work turned out beautiful. He cleaned up after himself as well.

had my kitchen remodeled. He is easy to deal with has a great personality..they prepped everything before painting and cleaned up after...I did not find one spec of paint where it didn't belong...we will certainly call him again when we remodel the other half of our home.

Wayne and his assistant painted the entire interior of our house. We wanted something a little different than plain white walls, But we were very confused what colors we should go with. Wayne really helped us settle on a super color combination that we both love. We were very picky with the results, and there were a few spots that were missed. But as soon as we pointed them out, Wayne immediately fixed them. Both Wayne and his assistant were very friendly and professional.
