I could go on for hours about how terrible my experience was with TCH Plumbing. I can appreciate that they needed to do demolition at my property to access the leak, and they did the job, but the customer service and communication were terrible. The worst I've experienced with a plumbing company. I had four different people communicating with me at various points in the process about breaking through walls to access pipes, and I had no idea what was going on until I finally got the owner on the phone to help me understand the total scope of the work, who was patronizing and condescending, not informative. Then, at the end of the job, they charged my credit card for $1,225 before I ever saw an invoice. I did provide my credit card information and approved a "range" for services, but I have never had a company run my credit card before sending an invoice and giving me an opportunity to see the charges and agree to them. Because I did not know they were going to charge my card, I ended up having to pay additional fees because the expense exceeded what was available in the account. This would have been avoided if I'd had a heads up (by way of an invoice) that payment was due upon receiving an invoice. Sometimes a person needs a few days to pull together over $1,000 to make a payment like that, and because they did not tell me they were going to charge my card, my account ended up overdrawn. They also told me that my tenant would be able to take a shower, promised that they'd put up a plastic cover over the demolished tile in the tub, and that never happened, leaving my tenant without a shower for two days. I would hope TCH learns how to treat their customers with a greater level of empathy and respect. I have still not received an apology, nor have they been willing to refund my credit card, send me an invoice, and give me a second to review the itemized list of charges and approve them before charging my credit card. I strongly advise against using this company--I have turned all work over to Chip Smith at Firefighters Handyman Services, who has never and would never run a credit card until an invoice has been sent with a clear and transparent overview of work performed.

It turned out good. I know the price was more reasonable than several others we got to call. And, they were honest. They're family owned. We had a water heater that we thought broke and another plumbing company came out and told us we had to have a whole new one for my business and they came out and said he didn't know how the other guy quoted that since it was fuse they had thrown, there's is no way he could have even checked the water heater. He just told me I just needed to buy a fuse, which is $1.29. They're the only ones I'll call now.
