We just finished a pool remodel with Sunkiss Pools and couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. Our remodel included removing the plaster surface and replacing it with Pebble Sheen, replacing the waterline tiles, replacing the in-floor heads and installing new in-floor cleaning valve, replacing a sheer descent fountain, putting a new channel drain in, removing stucco from a retaining wall and installing a natural stone veneer with travertine coping to the wall and a porch column. We approached our pool remodel project twice over several years, accumulating bids from 8 or 9 companies. We never found anyone we were comfortable with on our first attempt so we postponed the project; three years later we solicited another round of bids and luckily discovered Sunkiss Pools. Unlike most other companies, the owner, Bryan Stradling, comes out for the bid, not a salesman. It’s a much better experience and he really tries to figure out what will work best for you rather than a salesperson telling you anything to get the sale. The bid came in at a competitive price and Sunkiss got right to work and completed the project in a timely manner. Bryan was very professional and easy to work with. He was always available by phone/email during the project and responsive to any concerns we had, making any necessary adjustments to give us what we wanted. He took care of every last detail without hesitation right up to the very end. It was an easy process and we never had any reason to worry during the renovation, we always felt confident that we were in good hands with Sunkiss. There were no surprises and the finished product turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Sunkiss Pools and found them to be an honest company that does high quality work with integrity at a fair price.

We solicited bids from 8 or 9 companies over the course of two years before finally hearing about Bryan and signing a contract with him. We are so glad we waited until we found Sunkiss! Bryan was unbelievably patient with us as we agonized over the design and pricing of the project.
We found his bid to be the best value for what we got. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was on the low end of the bids we received and we got a much bigger pool with more bells and whistles for our money. I also liked that Bryan's bid was easy to understand. He provided us a base price, and then listed a variety of options, and upgrades, priced a la carte, so we could pick and choose those that were most important to us and still stay within our budget.
We also found Bryan to be very professional and responsive. We signed the contract, he came out to measure and mark the yard about 96 hours later (after already obtaining the permit from the city) and our dig started the very next day.
Start to finish, our project took eight weeks to construct. Subcontractors were polite, reliable, on time, and cleaned up when they were done. 
Bryan was always available via cell phone or email and personally oversaw the project. If we had a question, he answered it. I've heard nightmare stories about delays and problems with pool builds. But our construction process couldn't have gone better, and we have been in the pool everyday since the water went in last week.
I would absolutely recommend Bryan and Sunkiss Pools to anyone needing pool repair or construction service done.

I received several bids from small reputable pool builders and chose Sunkiss pools as my preferred pool builder to do the work. We chose Sunkiss for a few reasons
1. Bid was competitive.
2. I was actually able to reach Bryan fairly easily, via phone call, e-mail or text.
3. Attention to detail on my pool plans and the pool bid was broken down for each step as my pool was a custom build.
4. Bryan delivered everything as promised and on the date he said it would be ready, I.E, bid, changes to pool design, etc.
All other pool builders failed to deliver in one way or another on all these points.
I am familiar with the construction of building a new pool and I am capable of building my own pool if I chose to do so however my lender would not allow it. With that being said I have pretty good idea on how a pool is supposed to be built.
Sunkiss provided a quality product since day 1, from dig to the start up of the pool. Such as, reinforced rebar was already included in the bid, 6 on 12 vs. the standard 12 on 12 for the walls. The travertine decking looks beautiful and was installed with adequate AB and sand to set the pavers in place. Overall a high quality pool built all around.
Customer service was top notch, Several times I would text or e-mail Bryan late at night expecting a reply in morning and to my surprise he would reply that same night and usually it was never an urgent matter.
These are just a couple examples of the quality workmanship you can expect from Sunkiss pools

I personally spoke and/or met with TEN pool companies for a quote to renovate our diving pool. Only ONE other company (who only accepted checks/cash, as well) I felt was qualified to do the job.
I various issues with other companies: pushy salespeople; giving a quote over the phone without wanting to come out and look at the pool; not calling me back; not responding to emails; showing up, giving a quote, then not responding to questions, etc....
Needless to say, it was a headache and a hassle to go through that many companies, but it was worth it. They were actually the lowest bid, the chemical start up was the cheapest, and I am having them maintain my pool until the property sells. No problems--the pool looks great!
My only wish is that communication were more prompt, but overall, I am not going to take issue with that, as in all other respects they are ahead of the competition. The pool was installed on time, on budget, and with no issues. Will recommend to others.

We contracted with Sunkiss Pools to build an In-Ground pool to our specifications in our backyard. The company gave a very competitive bid. They started work as soon as possible. The city permit process took almost 3 weeks, but all pool permits take that long in our area. The project moved along so fast, that in some cases they were waiting on us to make decisions, before they could complete their work. Had we been more prepared I think that Sunkiss Pools could have built our pool in approx. 3 weeks after receiving the city permit. The workers were conscientious and careful of our property. All of the little things that I mentioned in passing were accomplished without having to repeat any request that I had. before starting, I requested that the pool be built lower in the ground than was recommended due to possible flooding in the future if hard rains came. The manager Bryan even made the statement that He could not build a pool that was not properly built despite the fact that I told him that I would be responsible for the outcome. I have to respect someone who is willing to tell me that they would not build a pool for me If they can not build it the correct way. We had Bryan build the pool the way that He knew was better and correct. We enjoy the pool and like the style and the way it was built. I have already recommended Sunkiss Pools to others. I have had a much better experience in building a pool than some of my friends who used larger companies, but had problems with their builder during construction. Bryan was accessible even after normal daylight hours. In addition, when we compare the features and components that we received in our pool versus others built for friends, we have the better value pool for the money that we spent.

I have general contracted full custom homes in the past, and none of the subs I used (and I used some of the best) came close to the professionalism and quality of work that Bryan delivered.

From what I learned from him over the project...Bryan has a background in engineering, so he and quot;getsand quot; the importance of building your pool right. Bryan is on top of the construction from start to finish. He even took over and quot;program managingand quot; our landscaper (a bad sub choice on my part)...and successfully pushed him (and the entire project) forward.

So, was everything perfect? No. The LED pool lighting has given us some trouble, and we had issues with our Pentair panel (both were products that I insisted we use, and Bryan accommodated me). Bryan has worked hard and seen to it that the suppliers of these products replaced the units (with our Pentair panel, we ended up getting a free upgrade to a better model, plus they gave us control of the pool through our iPhones...). Never did Bryan blame me for the product choices.

I realize that those of us who use Angie's List expect a high level of professionalism from the companies that are listed here. Sunkiss Pools belongs in a and quot;best of the bestand quot; list, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking to build a new pool, or remodel an existing pool.

I have not used Sunkiss Pools for maintenance service, but I can only assume they bring the same experience to that business as well.
