We use them all the time, they do a really good job. They're very thorough, seem honest, and don't try to up sell you on anything. They're very helpful in explaining everything. They also provide military discounts.

the import vehicle had 70,000 miles and no issues other than a minor oil leak ( a few drops a day). I got a quote for the dealer and from a specialty import shop and Sun Devil was cheaper than both.

Sun Devil replaced the timing belt, water pump, a couple seals, and added dye to the oil to determine where the oil leak was coming from. We were told to bring the car back in a week to check for leaks.

After one week of light driving we brought it back and there was coolant everywhere on the engine. They didn't investigate, and instead said the engine was too dirty to check for leaks, so they washed the underside and told us to come back. I thought it was strange the didn't investigate the coolant everywhere, but I assumed they put too much coolant in the reservoir.

A few days later during driving the car overheated, there was coolant blown everywhere, and it cost me $120 to tow back to Sun Devil auto.

Sun Devil Auto promptly looked at the vehicle and determine the thermostat was bad. They replaced it, topped off the coolant, and washed the underside of the vehicle......all at no charge.

I was upset about the towing hassle and charge, and am still concerned they didn't investigate the coolant leak when it never had this issue before; however, they fixed their mistake at no cost and there was no permanent damage to the vehicle.

I would go to them again based purely on them being competitive on price; however, I will be cautious on degree of complexity next time.

Friday 8/30/ My wife came home said she thought she had a muffler problem because it was noisy and rattled. I looked under the back and one of the exhaust was hanging down. I have used Sun Devil on several occasions, mostly small stuff nothing major. I've always thought I was treated fairly. I called them they said to come down. After checking they said I needed a new exhaust pipe. Apparently no one in town had one, so they had to order it. They did a temporary weld and things worked great. The next Friday the parts were there and I took it down. After they were through, as soon as I drove off the lot, I could tell the car was noisy (sounded like a motor scooter). I went back and told them this. They said the only thing it could be was a gasket that needed to be replaced. On Tuesday I took the car to Subaru, they said the problem was that the pipes that were put on were smaller than the originals and with them on the car would always be noisy. Fixing it would require them taking out everything, cost $1050. Went back to Sun Devil, they said it was a gasket. New gasket, same noise. I guess now I'm looking a 2 unacceptable options--live with the noise or pay Subaru. Better yet it's my wife's car and they really don't want to deal with her.

Sun Devil and I worked out our differences and resolved the problem. Steve went over and above the call of duty, so to speak. The whole thing had turned into a comedy of errors, not all of which were their fault. I'm happy and I think they are probably tired of seeing me for awhile. I've always had good luck with them in the past and will use them again.

I had my oil changed on a Mon. and three days later I notice a 6 inch oil stain on the drive. I called Sun Devil Auto and said I was bringing the truck back. I asked them to check the oil filter for leaks. After about ten minutes the mgr. asked me to come back into the shop to look at my truck. The mechanic took me under the truck and said the leak was from the power steering pump not the filter. When the mgr. said he would check the price on a rebuilt pump the mechanic said GM required a new pump to replace the old one. I insisted they give me a price for both rebuilt and OME. The price was approximately $350 and $600 respectively. I said I would leave and think about it. I subsequently took my truck to another shop who told me the pump was not leaking it was the oil filter!

We stopped in at Sun Devil on a whim because our car was getting new tires at a shop next door. We thought we'd get an estimate on front brakes and rotors while we were waiting for the tires to be put on. They were very friendly, gave us a quote on the work and said they could get it in right away. When the tire work was completed, we dropped the car off with Sun Devil and they provided us a ride home. They estimated that it would take about 2 hours and they would call us when the brake work was completed. Right on schedule, they called two hours later and asked if we needed to be picked up. After providing us a ride back to the shop, I was amazed to find that the bill was exactly what they had quoted me for the job and they didn't have any additional recommendations for parts or repairs (an absolute first for me). They were fast, reasonable, and by all appearances they did quality work. I feel like I have found a repair shop that I can trust and will definitely be back!
