 + -1 moreThe Internet access HAS been successfully restored, so the basic problem has been removed. We have since restored the AVG program after contact with AVG. We have also decided to replace the computer with another national brand sometime in the future. The main problem we had was that the technician arbitrarily removed a program which another technician in his company had originally installed when the computer was built without asking us for permission to do so. This behavior is not acceptable in our minds and represents some discrepancies in the company policies.
Description of Work: We have a computer we bought from Softque several years ago. It has generally worked OK, but recently we had problems with access to the Internet. We took the computer to the Softque office at 1155 S. Power Road, Suite 107, Mesa, AZ 85206 to have it looked at and repaired as needed. The technician there told us he had found a large number of virus problems and had removed them. He also removed the basic AVG program which the Stapley office had installed when the computer was built and replaced it with another program which we had never heard of. The Power Road technician did not contact us for permission to do the removal and replacement. What he did not know was that we had paid for a two year contract with AVG for their top of the line program and that about a year remained on that contract.

 + -1 moreSoftque is a low key company with experienced personnel. The service person was methodical, complete and very helpful in explaining what he did. They were prompt and thorough in the work they did. The charge for the work was MUCH lower than a previous company and MUCH better and thorough.
Description of Work: Corrected a fan "repair" done by another company. Corrected some serious software problems left by a previous repair company. Recommended a better anti-virus program which works very nicely

 + -1 moreI started using them when the other major repair guys here gave me an estimate of $250 and SoftQue gave an estimate of $90 but then only ended up charging $65! I would call these people the anti-geeks since they are more interested in being helpful and really caring about me. I recently sent my boss to them: she had an estimate over $1000 for data recovery. SoftQue saved her data off the drive, had it back to her the next day, and only charged $120!
Description of Work: Most recently: Got a laptop working that would not boot into Windows. Removed the hard drive and repaired it. Also fixed my virus protection: Norton was really slowing down the unit and may have caused the problem, they removed it and installed a free one that works great. They also gave me excellent advice.
