 + -1 moreShe asked my if I had purchased a service contract on the NEW washer. I said no one had offered me one and asked, "Why would I need a service contract on a brand new washer?" I was told I could call for service on the Kenmore (Sears brand) washer but if the Sears repair person could not find anything wrong, I would be charged for a service call.
Description of Work: I purchased a top of the line series 6000 washer in early June. I paid almost $600 for the high capacity washer. It does not clean clothes. I compared a white towel washed by my old machine and one by the new and the new machine is producing grey towels. Today I washed a king size mattress pad and it came out of the washer covered with dirt. The purpose of washing it was simply that it hadn't been washed in 6 months. It had NO dirt on it. I took the mattress pad and towels to Sears and showed the female manager the towels. I asked her to come out to my car to see the wet mattress pad. I explained that a call to Sears repair had resulted in my being told that a test of the bulk washing setting should result in 4 to 6 inches of water in the washer (which is obviously not enough to cover a mattress pad) and I thought the machine wasn't filling enough.

Description of Work: Took our car in for a new battery and routine maintenance prior to cross-country trip. Got an appointment within 2 hours. Sears discovered that our rear brakes needed to be replaced, which we did not know about and kept us safe traveling. They did NOT try to ""upgrade"" us or repair anything that wasn't needed. They found some package/discounts for us for the routine maintenance work, including using some of our Save Our Way reward points/Sears, Kmart, etc., that we didn't even know we had and were expiring, and applied them to the cost as well. Top battery installed (around $175) turned out to be about $20 (with our points). The ""service package"" gave us many more services for the same money we would have paid for the minimum we went in for. Service was done in a timely, neat manner. Employees are GREAT in this location - been going there for years. Highly recommend.

They replaced my tire fairly quickly, but I noticed by maintainence light came on after and there is a knocking underneath the car which they warned me about and gave an estimate to fix. They recommend an alignment as well. I waited sometime to be seen when I arrived due to a lack of personnel, but overall it went smootly.
Description of Work: The provider replaced a front passenger tire that had hit a curb.

 + -1 moreThey were very good. The staff was friendly and everybody was polite. They just made me feel very welcomed and I could tell that they weren't trying to take advantage or mention things that weren't necessary and didn't need any repairs on. They basically diagnosed my vehicle, told me what I need and how much it's going to cost. I believe for some reason they don't mark up because I got few other estimates and everybody was at least two to three hundred bucks more. We have a onetime repair charge and the part cost was two to three times lower than the other places that I was getting quoted at. I was getting quotes for four, five or six hundred dollars. I definitely recommend them if people want to get a fair price and not be taken advantage off. Like I said everybody is friendly there. They are just very upfront and honest which is hard to find in a mechanic.
