All the craftsmen who installed both of our patio covers and removed an old patio cover were excellent, very precise with attention to details. The estimator and schedulers were easy to work with, good communications. We were very happy with the results. Recommend.

Royal Covers installed our patio cover back in 2014. They did a great job for a great price then, so we decided to call them again for 2 additional solid covers and a lattice cover. Everyone we have dealt with at this company has been professional and courteous. They arrived on time and did meticulous work, from estimating to installing. We would highly recommend Royal Covers!

Project went very well and took 3 days to build. Peter came up with a great, unique design and the guys who built the cover and with the electrician were all great.

They did an incredible fine job. Came on time and finished the job in one day, cleaned everything after they were done. Friendly and professional workers. They did a lot of extras, such as installed a ceiling fan at the patio, installed all the necessary electrical work, new outlet and repaired a wiring fault they detected. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

It went very smoothly. They explained everything and cleaned up afterwards. It was the same workman each time and I was very pleased with the outcome.

We had rain on the day of installation and so the guys had to return the next morning to finish up. The workers were clean, did their work smoothly, did a great job and cleaned up afterwards.

I am TOTALLY satisfied with the quality of the product, skill of the craftsman (Robert and Brian) who installed it, and the cost that I paid. I did my due diligence and got quotes from four different companies. Royal Covers was the least expensive by an average of $2,800.00. The morning after my cover was completed it rained and not one drop leaked from my BRAND NEW PATIO COVER !!! Obviously I would highly recommend them. DJ Thornton Florence, AZ.

I had two lattice awnings installed. The installation crew did a great job. The staff of Royal Covers showed extraordinary customer service. They were very responsive did a great job ensuring that I was taken care of and had my questions and concerns addressed. It is uncommon to get such good customer service, but Royal Covers delivered.

7Everything was done on time and to perfection.  Here we are 7 years later and all the 10 windows and door work like they did in the beginning.  Nothing has loosened and the room is air tight.  This is a testament to the quality of the product and the workmanship.

I received an estimate from Larry which was much lower than two others. I was skeptical and was warned by one of the others that the quality wouldn't be good since the estimate was so low. Someone else who was familiar with the work I wanted done suggested that I go with Royal Covers; if they could do it for the price quoted, all the better for me. I have now had the awning for a year and a half and couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, I waited so long to write this that I don't remember what I actually paid, but I do know it was definitely a good price and half of one other quote I got. While I wasn't here when it was installed, my understanding was that they were on time and professional. Everything was cleaned up when I came home and it looks great.

We contacted Royal Covers and Larry replied right away to set up an appointment. He showed us options and was very professional giving us details of the different materials and alternatives. This was a relatively small job, and other companies did not seem interested in our business. Larry, on the other hand, treated us like valued customers and replied to all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. They came the day and time we had agreed, and did all the work faster than they had initially estimated. They cleaned up, and left everything looking great. Larry called us afterwards to follow up and ask if we were happy. We love the new cover, and we would recommend working with Royal Covers to anyone!

Royal Covers did a great job! They did exactly what was promised in writing, on time, and at the agreed price. With a product widely sold like Aluma-Wood, there are many re-sellers. We wanted a custom design installed by an experienced firm. We were not disappointed, and recommend Royal Covers without reservation.
Suggestions for others?
-Spend some time thinking about the details of your own project. Sketch it out in pencil and make some measurements in the area you are planning to have the patio cover constructed. This will give you and the patio cover supplier a better understanding of your idea.
-An experienced patio cover representative will make helpful suggestions and advise against impractical features.
-Check to see if building permits or other municipal requirements have to be met and documented (including HOA's).
-Have a realistic budget. For labor intensive projects, it is common to spend 1/3 on materials and 2/3 on labor.
-Check the references of potential suppliers, including their longevity.
-Get everything in writing, and get at least two competing bids for the same project.

I had a lot of issues with this installation. First, I chose to get the permit myself to save some money and in order to get the permit passed, I had to submit drawn plans. I asked for and quot;Larryand quot; the salesperson who did the estimate to provide me with technical drawings. He provided me with scribblings on paper which the city refused to accept. I explained that I needed and quot;to scaleand quot; drawings showing the distance to the lot lines and I never got a call back after that. I drew my own plans and did the best I could with two refusals from the city on the permit. Finally took me almost 5 weeks to get the permit so we could start work. The man who came to install was nice enough but left measurement markings on the structure, debris on the ground around where he worked and he tried to install pillars in places where they were not supposed to go. I had explained very clearly when and quot;Larryand quot; came out that I wanted to make this patio cover a shell for a future enclosed Arizona Room. He said he understood but when the installer came, he had no clue that we wanted to have the supports placed so we could have windows overlooking a garden area and that we needed to have some supports against the exterior wall of the house. He finally agreed to do what I asked but I could not get a hold of and quot;Larryand quot; to have him explain it. The installer then said, and quot;Oh, they've been having trouble with him. He's not used to working in residential with houses. He usually works with mobile homes.and quot; After the installation, I checked and the roofing was not as I was told it would be. It was a single layer of aluminum. I was expecting a foam insulated roof because we had talked about the fact that this was to be an Arizona Room eventually. I refused to pay for several weeks and demanded that the Manager or Owner call me. and quot;Larryand quot; kept calling me and I specifically told them I did not want to talk to him since he was the cause of all the problems. Eventually I just paid it and decided I will NEVER work with them again. For what it is, it's fine; but for what it was intended to be, I am extremely disappointed. I looked back at the original paperwork and there was no notation of any future plans for expansion, so all his verbal assurances were basically BS. I just went to put Christmas lights on the roof of my house and found that the installer never adequately finished integrating the flashing from the roof of the house to the roof of the patio cover, nor did he properly caulk around the roofing. Again, if this was to be the roof of an Arizona Room, it should have been properly sealed against water leaks to protect the addition. When it rained recently, I say water dripping and running down the wall where the patio roof abuts the house.

They did a good job; it was fine. I had no trouble with it. Their follow up was fine. They did the job quickly. They put up one screen and I didn't like it. They took it back to the shop, redid it and brought it back. They didn't charge me anything. They didn't like the way it looked and so they redid it. The price was reasonable. I always look for quality and I do not necessarily look for the lowest price. They did quality work.

Their estimator came out. The appointment accommodated my schedule. The estimator was professional, not pushy and had good ideas to add to mine. As promised the installation was two weeks later. Installers came on time, completed it on time and the resulting product was as promised and seen in their pictures.

The estimator came out to do the free estimate. I had looked at two other companies providing the same exact service. When comparing apples to apples, Royal was slightly lower than the other two companies and based on their previous ratings, I went with them. They scheduled the work in a reasonable amount of time, finished the work as expected, and the saleperson was pleasant. The work looks good and I am satisfied with the way it came out color and workmanship.

Working with these folks was great. From the sales person who suggested what we might think of doing, to the pricing, to the installation people: all were prompt, courteous, professional, smart about the product and great to work with, We'll try to figure out what more we can do with them.

The project was done in one day, on time and on budget. They did the work when I was at work so I did not see the actual installation process. I did see the completed job when I came home from work and was quite pleased.

ROYAL WAS VERY FLEXIBLE IN ALLOWING ME TO DO SOME SWEAT EQUITY FOR THE JOB. I PERFORMED ALL FINISH CARPENTRY, PAITING, FLOORING, AND GARAGE ELECTRICAL. OTHER CONTRACTORS WERE NOT WILLING TO DO SO. IN GENERAL, ROYAL WAS VERY FLEXIBLE IN SUPPORTING LAST MINUTE CHANGES WHEN UNFORSEEN ISSUES AROSE. THEY WERE ALSO VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I DETECTED ANY QUALITY ISSUES CAUSED BY ONE OF THEIR SUBCONTRACTORS. SOME OF THEIR SUBCONTRACTOR'S WORK QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT TO GOOD, WHILE OTHERS WERE NOT, BUT THEY ALWAYS MADE THINGS RIGHT BY THE TIME WE WERE DONE. THEIR IN-HOUSE FRAMING CREW WAS OUTSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL, AND VERY CONCIENTIOUS OF THE FACT THAT WE STILL NEEDED TO LIVE IN THE SPACE THEY WERE WORKING IN (THEY LEFT THE JOB SITE VERY NEAT AND CLEAN, EVERY DAY). ROYAL STANDS BY THEIR WORK. LONG AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETE, I DETECTED A DEFECT IN A WINDOW AND IT WAS PROMPTLY INSPECTED AND REPLACED.
