Ray was AMAZING!!! I couldn't have been pleased more with his work. I had to move suddenly due to unexpected circumstances so I bought a fixer upper. I looked up contractors on Angies list and found Ray. He had GREAT reviews and I am happy to add one more. I practically did a Chip and JoJo (HGTV's Fixer Upper Show) remodel and it came out beautifully. He was precise, on time and did quality work. He had great ideas on design, and was thrown unforeseen challenges that he handled professionally and in a timely manner. He was a delight to deal with throughout the entire job! I will be recommending him to anyone that is looking for a contractor for sure! Much appreciated.

Ray Schiller from Renegade Desert Homes did a great job from the initial visit including estimate all the way through the finished product. We made minor changes to the plans at Ray's suggestion; i.e. additional lighting and electrical outlet. Ray and sub-contractors were polite, professional, and timely. City of Glendale inspector commented on the quality of work during each inspection. We are very please with the completed patio cover and concrete decking. We would definitely hire Renegade Desert Homes again.

Ray was easy to get a hold of, he answered the first time we called. He was quick to get the project started knowing we were on a time schedule to get our place rented. No task was to small to complete when we gave him a list of things we needed done. He was prompt on the first day and gave a realistic timeline on when things would be completed. The project started on schedule and Ray was present every day on site. Him and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. We needed masonry work for our backyard wall and he was able to outsource the job, which the guy was absolutely fantastic and our wall has never looked better. Ray's remodeling work was noticed by the neighbors and soon we were approached for his number which we gladly gave out. Ray followed up to the end and made sure we were satisfied with his work. He never nickeled and dimed us for the small things we asked him to do. The overall project cost was more than reasonable and we will definitely be using him for work on our own home. We highly recommend Ray for any project big or small. Thanks Ray!

It looks beautiful. We decided not to go fully to the ceiling on the living room side and now I have a planter shelf. Ray was friendly, efficient and got the job done. It looks great and I will use him again. Actually we are using him again to paint the inside of our house!

Ray was great, gave me a fair price, arrived on time, and returned all my phone calls. The work performed was very good quality as Ray has been in the business for many years and knows his craft. Would definitely recommend his work to all my friends and especially here on Angie's List. I will be calling renegade desert homes again for all of my home construction needs.

Ray was really professional and did what he said he would do. The work was good and he always contacted me if he was running late. The doors were custom and took longer to come in than promised. He followed up and apologized, even though it was out of his control.

We had Ray provide a quote to install crown moulding in two of our bedrooms and a loft area in our house. He was very responsive during the quotation process and appeared prompt and professional. After a couple weeks of discussion, we settled on a price, material, and start date. To keep costs down, we ended up providing the crown material ourselves and we chose to do only the two bedrooms instead of the whole project. Ray and his assistant - Lon - showed up on time and ready to work on a Monday morning and had the whole project done in one day with time to spare! They were careful with our furniture and paint and they put in a significant amount of effort making the finished installation look as nice as possible. When all was done, they cleaned up thoroughly and even gave me some information about how to finish off the project. Bottom line, we will definitely call Ray again for our next project and we are already planning to have him come back out to do the crown moulding in our loft soon!

Ray was very responsive to my request for quote and performed the work as promised. He had two helpers during part of the job. All were very professional and cleaned up afterwards.

All the construction went very well. He stuck it out even
having to deal with extremely troublesome electrical wiring from back when the
house was originally built.

      One of the things I really liked was that he listened to "what we wanted" and produced
the outcome. You can get something that is custom, and not simply cookie-cutter
construction (if that is your wishes).

Ray and his crew framed a new house I'm building and as a long time general contractor/home builder, I know quality work when I see it. This is it. Couldn't be happier and looking forward to working with Ray on the next project

This was my first project with Ray and as a long time general contractor/home builder, I know good work when I see it. Ray's work is first rate quality and was completed timely and for the agreed upon price. He is a professional and I'm looking forward to working with Ray on my next project.

Ray with renegade desert homes has done several projects for us over the last 3 years. He is extremely professional and always on time. His prices cannot be beat. He is very knowledgeable in every aspect of remodeling. He has done full floor to ceiling remodels for us over the last 3 years all of which were completed fully and each job was left finished and clean. He is willing to go out of his way to make his clients happy. He is extremely dedicated and will make sure his clients are fully informed throughout the process. Ray has done everything from demolition to installing tile floors, plumbing relocation and installation and electrical. He is a hands on contractor which is hard to find, most contractors hire subs and work becomes delayed and excuses form. He is prompt and professional and I would rely on him for anything. i have remodeled 40 homes in the last 3 years and he is the first person i call when i need something done. 

We had a very positive experience with Ray during both of our projects with him. He is a very hard worker and it was obvious that he took pride in the quality of his work.  He also brought in reliable sub-contractors and made sure the quality of their work was of the same high standard. He was honest and trust worthy and had our best interest at heart ( especially since we were out of state). He put us at ease during for us what was a stressful time. He was very responsive to us whenever we had questions. We honestly do not have a single negative thing to say and would recommend him highly to anyone considering home remodeling, home building and /or additions.

Ray was absolutely amazing, he completed the job ahead of schedule without going over the budget. He did all of the small changes and additions I requested throughout the project without charging me additional fees. He actually worked on the construction himself personally every day, to maintain the quality in every step. All City of Scottsdale and HOA inspections passed with flying colors the first time. 
The end result was an awesome 600 square feet of living space which we now spend most of our days in, every day.
