+ -1 moreI would definitely recommend this business. I called Randy's and actually spoke to Randy himself! He sent someone out to our home on the very same day... AND... they waived the service charge! Our service person took out the ice maker that had stopped working, after checking it to see if it could be repaired or should be replaced. He installed a brand new one. After all was said and done, we had a new ice maker installed and the old one removed all in less than 3 hours from the time I placed the call for service!!!!!!!
Description of Work: A service person from Randy's Appliance Repair came out and installed a new ice maker for our side by side refrigerator.

+ -1 moreThey came out on time. Were very friendly and responsive and always give us a good estimate. When they worked on applicances on our rental, they would deal with the renter and fix the problem promptly and then bill us for the work. We will continue to use them when needed.
Description of Work: they are very responsive. They fix the dishwasher, side by side refrigerator in our rental home and fix the ice maker in our home. We use them over and over again as they treat us very good. I will continue to use them in the future and truly recommend them to everyone.

+ -1 moreRandy is one of the few remaining repair men who does his own work, gives advice, and charges reasonable rates. I definitely recommend him!
Description of Work: When my washing machine broke, I called a number of repair services. All the others said that I would need a service call to estimate the repair costs. Only Randy responded immediately with advice that saved me paying for a service call. After my description of the problem, he figured out whaht was wrong, and because of the age of my machine he suggested buying a new one. I asked and got good advice about what would be a good one to buy (with few service problems). He was helpful in identifying the problem, advising me, and saving me a service call. His service call, if I had needed one, is much less expensive than the competitors. He was knowledgable, prompt in answering, professional, and very ethical. He wanted to save me a service call if he could! I will definitely use him for any appliance repair in the future.

+ -1 moreRandy responded to my first phone call, took the time to listen to my description of the problem and then looked up the cost of replacing the parts that were worn. We determined the cost was prohibitive, given the age of the machine and what total replacement of the machine would cost. I was very pleased with his willingness to give me this information with no charge to me.
Description of Work: Randy correctly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher from my description and determined that repairs would cost more than the machine was worth. This saved me paying for a diagnosis and enabled me to know that the machine should be replaced.

+ -1 moreA dog bed had been ripped open. The stuffing came out in the dryer. I was not able to remove it all from the dryer and it began to mold. I called Randy Friday and he came out Monday morning. Randy took my dryer apart and cleaned it out. Everything had dried out, but then and there wasn't much of a smell. He was kind, knowledgeable and explained what he was doing as he went along. Randy had given me a 4 hour time frame and called about 1 hour before his arrival to let me know he was on his way.
Description of Work: Randy took the dryer apart to clean stuffing out of it that had come out of a dog bed. He scraped off some stuffing that had melted on a part of the drum. I had taken all of the screws off the backing of the dryer trying to open it myself. He put all these back on and opened it the way it was supposed to. He cleaned it all out and put it back together again. He also leveled it out as it was rocking a bit.

+ -1 moreMy Amana refrigerator ice maker was only making ice when it felt like it. Called Randy and he was out the next day and very quickly found the problem. The heating coil in the ice maker had become deformed and was not in its proper place. Therefore, no heat was getting to the cubes which if working properly, would make the ice fall into the bucket. He had a replacement ice maker in his truck and quickly installed it.
Description of Work: Randy diagnosed and repaired a ice maker problem I was having.

Description of Work: I found Randy's Appliance Repairs off the List. He had very good reports from others so I gave him a call. I was called back less than an hour later and we made an appointment for that afternoon. Randy showed up on time and, after looking at the problem, asked if I had a vacuum? He sucked out about 10 years of cat hair from under the box. He said it would cost more to repair than to replace but said the compressor was still running. He had me put a fan blowing on it. I thanked him for showing me something I should have known, but didn't. I went out the next day and purchased a new box, but I left the fan running under the refrigerator. After a couple of days, the thing began to keep food cooler. I kept the old box for a backup for things that don't have to be real cold. Randy could have charged hundreds of dollars to replace the compressor, but he didn't. I would HIGHLY recommend his service.

+ -1 moreDefinitely a gentleman and very honest. Showed me what the problem was which was very nice. Told me that I could probably get a new freezer quickly. In the mean time, he told me to put a fan against the condenser because the fan in the condenser was not working. He only charged me for the service call even though I feel he put in a lot of work.
Description of Work: He called to let me know he would be here between 10-2. He showed up at 10:30 and looked at my freezer. He asked before he came and I told him it was an old freezer. He looked at it and worked with it, and came out to tell me that it might be better to just buy a new one because the repair would not last long.

Description of Work: The clothes dryer started to make a horrible noise. My husband wanted to buy a new machine. I looked on Angie's List, Randy's company had excellent ratings. He was able to come right over. The blower thing was loose, he tightened it up and was done! $75 versus $300 plus - I win!
