Please see below the most recent development and then the original "review" along with the alleged "owner's" disingenuous response. This company is unethical and incompetent. Spencer, the alleged owner, responded to our review on YELP, and we took him up on his offer to call him to "work toward a resolution". We were basically told to f off and despite not being able to live in the house for almost four months due to their incompetence and repeatedly installing a/c units improperly, they are not willing to work anything out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -- THEY ARE UNETHICAL, THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD BUSINESS PEOPLE OR GOOD PEOPLE IN GENERAL. ORIGINAL POST BELOW: Only giving one star because there is no option for zero or below. We were without A/C from this past June - October (when we finally moved) due to the incompetence of this company. So many different crew members came to the house over multiple days on end, all the while attempting to try to make us feel like we were doing something wrong. Turns out after months of staying in hotels, and not being able to use our downstairs entirely, and supervisors coming out to the property, Rainforest had not wired the brand new trane units for a 2-speed motor. This seems like a simple and elementary mistake that should not have made, nor should it have taken months to fix. Not only did we suffer through the oppressive AZ summer months with no working a/c (the house was often 85 degrees at the lowest), we have now incurred a prohibitively high bill from APS because the a/c was desperately trying to run throughout that whole process, in addition to other bills, including hotels stays, meals, etc. This is on the heels of multiple mistakes from all the teams that came to our house, from the first install which took 15-20 hours, and they failed to even turn on the unit properly because a wire was misplaced. I can't make this stuff up. Although the guys who installed the units were very nice and respectful, that didn't make our house habitable and comfortable unfortunately. There was one of the supervisors who was pompous and had no business being there because he is a sales guy. He kept trying to tell us that we were wrong, when each time, his teams were proven to have no idea what they were doing. In addition, the aforementioned pompous guy, said he would look into Rainforest paying our exorbitant APS bill due to their error, when I spoke to him last months. SHOCKER, it's been almost a month since he said he would get back to me the "next day," and APS has blocked all of our phone numbers so we cannot even call the company. When I called from another number, we got through. I asked many times for the owner to call me throughout this debacle and seven months later - nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Spencer T. AVOID THIS COMPANY! Quoted over $2000 for a shower valve replacement, due to them having to access the valve from behind the refrigerator in the kitchen. When the tech showed up, he changed his mind, widened the hole behind the existing escutcheon plate, replaced the valve, installed a much larger escutcheon, and left. They were at the home for an hour, completely changed the scope of work and STILL charged over $2000 for labor/parts. I have tried numerous times to call and get clarification, their front desk has said each time that management was reviewing the invoice and would get back to me. Two weeks later, still no call back. This company is a complete scam, take your business elsewhere.

Perfect. Professional throughout. Great response, especially for summer in Phoenix. Was informed of Tech's name and when I was next. Tech called me when he was on his way to my house. Corrected my ducting, and checked for other possible problems.

We were wary to call Rainforest since they didn't have great reviews on Yelp, Google, & Angie's list; in fact the reviews seemed bad. But when repairing outside water faucets ourselves went south & with the whole house without water on a hot Saturday morning, we had to call a plumber & get this done ASAP. First two companies were booked solid till Monday. Ok. Rainforest picked up the phone & said they could have a guy over in the next 3 hours. Minimum fee, service call fee? Nope. They said he'll show up, check it out, give us a quote, up to us to proceed or not. The tech called and was actually here in one hour; quick response. Henry showed up and seemed like a good guy. He looked at the hose bibs, we spoke a bit, he went back to his van & wrote up a quote. When presented with the quote, we thought it was fair, being same day service & all. We signed the quote. This was good because now I felt like no hidden charges would pop up during the repairs. Henry got to work & repaired two janky old hose bibs on our 1973 home. Second one he did was a challenge, but he kept at it, making sure there was not a single drop leaking out. The pipe sticking out of the house was just a little nub, and was difficult to attach the hose bib to.. He was thorough and did it three times until it was 100% sealed.  All & all he was working about 1.5 hours, and it's done. Two nice new hose bibs, zero leaks. Henry was honest, friendly, communicative, professional, and answered all our questions. Like I said I believe the price was ok, repair work plus the very fast same-day response time on a busy Saturday. Rainforest does plumbing & AC. I don't have any experience with the AC part, but Henry the plumber was terrific and we like they way Rainforest does business. 5 stars, highly recommended, thank you Henry.

The technician was there as scheduled and was very courteous and efficient.  He thoroughly checked the central air system and the heating system.  Price was as discussed and very reasonable.  The people in the office were very courteous and scheduled the appointment for our convenience.  We will definitely use them in the future.

First call they came out on a Friday, used a root bit, and said it was good. Sewer backed up again less than a week later. Called them out again. This guy also said it was roots, but said the first guy used the wrong "bit." Snaked pipe again, and said it should be good. Sewer backed up AGAIN, and they said that they would send in the camera. We were out of town when they came by. Diagnosed the pipe as collapsed, and maintained that 45'-50' of sewer line would need to be replaced. Estimated cost of $6250-6600. We got an estimate from another company after Rainforest took over a week to respond, and it ended up being half the price. When the other company came out to do it (after removing 12' of concrete and digging 5' down) nothing was wrong. Pipe only had a GREASE CLOG. Ended up costing us over $3000 for a grease clog. Don't ever call these obvious scammers. Either they don't know what they are doing, or they are trying to take people for a ride.

HE WAS OUT DOING A HOME WARRANTY CALL, BECAUSE THE PIPE WAS PUNCTURED DUE TO A NAIL IN THE BASEBOARD, THE WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT. HE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN MAKING ME HAVE NO CHOICE IN PAYING HIM. HE SAID IT COULD TAKE HOURS OR NOT TOO LONG SO I COULD EITHER PAY HIM $150 OR XX AMOUNT PER HOUR WITH THE CHANCE OF IT TAKING MANY HOURS. I CHOSE $150 AND IT TOOK HIM A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME TO FIX. HE WAS WELL AWARE OF THIS AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. HE PULLED THIS SCHEME ANOTHER TIME ON A DIFFERENT REPAIR (I DID NOT USE HIM THEN) SO I THINK IT IS DONE FREQUENTLY.
