I'm Russell DeBord and I'm the owner of Pride in Painting, LLC. I"m a third generation painter and have been painting for over 35 years. I started with industrial work in the local oil refinery where I grew up. I then did commercial work painting schools, libraries and many offices. I also did a bunch of new construction, apartments and housing developments. I have a well rounded background. I must say that I got tired of the hustle and bustle of that kind of work. I was working weekends and night shifts until I finally got over the fear of starting my own business. So, I got a contractors license in 2004 and started working for people like you. I enjoy the personal touch that residential work offers. It feels good to have satisfied customers... for both of us. Word got out that I did good work because I care about what I do and take pride in my work, hence the name that I chose for my company, Pride in Painting, LLC. Word of mouth referrals is how I got a lot of my work. Then I moved to Arizona and am starting all over. I'm confident that you, as a member of Angie's List, will find me here in the Mesa/ East Valley area. Pride in Painting responded to my request on the same day I sent it and came out a couple days later to assess the job. The detailed and very reasonable quote arrived via email the next day. On the scheduled work day, Russell was on time, professional, and he did excellent, high quality work. The cost was exactly what he quoted. Our entire experience with Pride in Painting was perfect and could not have gone any better. We'd hire Pride in Painting again without question.

Very responsive in calling back to set up initial consult. Came over next day to assess and gave time and money estimate. Next day began the project- called ahead to give me a window of his arrival. I was very comfortable with him being in my home. Absolutely wonderful job with a reasonable rate! Great guy!

When we reached the point of needing the painting done, we called for two estimates. Russell gave us a good price and did an excellent job. Russell from Pride in Painting has painted a number of rooms in my home, all of which look great, and his prices are very reasonable, I'm about to hire him again to paint my kitchen. He does a great job,, tapes everything off and fills all holes, and there is never a mess, and because he knows what he is doing everything gets done in a very timely manner

Where do we start? Russell was EXCELLENT! Russell worked with us on everything. He provided a very timely quote a day after calling him and then followed up to see if we were ready to begin our project. When we were ready, we originally only wanted the Great Room re-painted one color and the pop-out a different color. Well that soon changed when we saw the fantastic job that he was doing, so we then asked him for a quote to re-paint our railing on the stairs and our kitchen cabinets. What a great decision because Russell was able to fit our additions into his schedule and everything looks phenomenal! Then on top of that, we didn't like the paint color (that we chose) of the pop-out that was painted, so Russell was gracious enough to re-paint it again with a different color (for a nominal fee), again working us into his schedule to complete. It was a pleasure having Russell do such a remarkable job for us. We definitely would hire again and recommend for any painting needs.

Russell did an excellent job - he arrived on time, was a self-starter, and cleaned up at the end of each day. He was meticulous about drop cloths and there was not one spot of paint anywhere it shouldn't have been. He coordinated the timing of the interior work so it was completed along with the exterior. It showed me what a true painting professional really is, and the qualify of his work was exceptional - I give Russell and Pride in Painting my highest recommendation.

It went extremely well! His work was great and the price was very fair. He stayed on the job daily till he finished. The smaller house we still own. Whenever I enter my driveway I admire the beautiful job Russell did on the exterior of the house. He is very amiable, pleasant to be around, punctual, a hard worker, good at protecting unintended surfaces from the paint. He is very skillful in helping select the best paint quality and colors for the job. I didn't have much experience with repainting and he was able to guide my selection to the color and shading that would look best and be of a reliable quality, though not the most expensive brand available. He really knows paint and how to apply it!!! I'm just sorry Russell moved to Arizona because I will be needing the interior of my house painted before long.
