PEP BOYS MANNY MOE & JACK

Our minivan was riding rough, seeming to slip in and out of gear while driving, and emissions testing was coming up. We paid for a full diagnostic, and thoroughly described the car's behavior to the staff at Pep Boys, who did not seem very interested. Even though we told them that we would pay to fix any problems they would find. They then performed a seemingly standard series of tests and found low compression in two cylinders and one noncritical engine code, but gave the car an otherwise clean bill of health. They apparently did not drive the car to experience the behavior we noticed. Two days later, with kids in the car, the transmission blew out on the highway.
