Mike did a terrific job for us.  I had multiple questions before he came out and he and his office responded to them in a very thorough and timely manner. He had quoted me a price to install my two new thermostats and because it did not take him as long to install them, he ended up only charging me HALF the quoted price for those installations.  He came when he said he was going to and was friendly and honest and professional.  I could not be happier with the service that Mike and his team provides.

I have used Ocean Air to service my AC since I moved to the valley in 2003.  They have always been prompt, honest, competitively priced, and a overall great company to work with.  My AC finally died after Mike had been keeping it alive for a number of years and it was time to replace the unit.  I asked Mike to provide a quote and he agreed to do the work while I was out of town on business that week. 

Mike and his crew installed a new AC unit and furnace.  I am very pleased with the work and the unit is working great. Mike is the kind of guy who will do his best to get their quickly if you have an emergency and if you ever have a problem with his work he will come right back out. 

Mike showed up for the quote on time and quoted roughly $600 below our previous best estimate for a Trane brand.  We signed the contract, and he arrived for the install when he said he would.  He hired a crane to place the new and remove the old A/C which greatly improved the time he had to spend here.  We did have one problem after he left, which was an improperly placed wire in the thermostat which cause it to not heat.  We called him that night as soon as we discovered the malfunction and he came first thing the next morning and fixed it in about 10 minutes.  Mike has proved to us in the past and on this installation that his is a hardworking, honest and reliable company to deal with.  I would recommend him to anyone who needs A/C service.

The guy is unbelievable. I have used him for 12 years now and he does what he says he is going to do. I had a major thing done and he ended up billing me about a quarter of what he said he was going to do. He said that it turned out he didn't have to do all the things he was afraid of. And that doesn't happen very often. 

The heat pump was replace by former homeowner approximately 11/2 years ago. The new heat pump was done by Ocean Air at that time. The heating part of the unit would not function properly. Since I had the original paper work that indicated Ocean had done the original installation, I made an appointment to have them troubleshoot and repair. Mike of Ocean Air came out in one day and troubleshot the system. The thermostat was changed and the existing wiring was also looked at. Mike repaired the system in about one hour, went through the programming of the new thermostat. Mike was very cordial and professional. Surprisingly Mike did not charge me for his services. I was quite surprised and impressed with his honesty. A company I would highly recommend and have to my friends.

Everything goes very well with them. Their prices are competitive not stellar. They don't have great sales but they've got very good service. They are very helpful and very prompt. There was a trip charge which I wasn't terribly happy with but then he wrote that into service. So, it was comparable to other companies; there were a couple of others that were running specials at that time and these guys don't tend to run specials.

Ocean Air Air Conditioning & Heating Company did the air conditioning at my son?s house and even at my mother-in-law?s house. I?ve a yearly contract with them. I?ve had other guys from other companies in the past, who have asked me to replace the entire air conditioning and have charged me $80 for a $40 part. Unlike other air conditioning and heating companies, Ocean Air Air Conditioning & Heating Company is not there to rip you off. While they were at work, they were knowledgeable and reliable. They came out within the time frame that they quoted.

They came out and gave me an estimate. They did not use any high pressure sales tactics, everything was cut and dry. They told me what needed to be done and explained everything in detail. They had great prices and customer service. They were very easy to communicate with. They came out and did the installation and made sure to clean up the mess afterward. They followed up with their warranty and were easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. It is a small mom and pop shop, but they acted just like they were up with the big guys. I had a fantastic experience with Ocean Air.

I contacted about eight different heating and cooling companies and received bids from most of them. The bid that came from Ocean Air was the best given the work that was to be performed. Some bids came out to be twice as much as Mike's. We scheduled Mike to come out and he came out on the scheduled date. He serviced the cooling and heating units and they have worked since then without a hitch and the thermostats were installed perfectly. His price to service a second unit is among the best that I have seen. He was courteous and professional and this experience was the best experience that I have had with a heating and cooling company. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to call him again.

The whole process went very smoothly. I was able to get an appt quickly and Mike was prompt in arriving. He was honest and straightforward with us about the options. The team to install the unit arrived on time and worked steadily throughout the day. We got a $100 discount for using a check/cash for payment. When our other unit inevitably goes out, we will call Ocean Air again for service.

They were very thorough, professional, very friendly, and good about explaining everything.

It took only a few days to get an appointment and the company gave me a two hour window. Mike called 30 minutes prior to arrival and arrived on time. He listened to me describe what I wanted checked and then did a thorough inspection. After checking everything, Mike informed me the duct work was all in good condition. We talked about several other options to help with cooling the house more effectively, including windows, insulation, and a larger A/C. There was never any attempt to hard sell, just professional advice and the invite to use Ocean Air for future A/C needs. I was not charged for the inspection, even though I consider that to be work. I will certainly use Ocean Air for future A/C maintenance and repair needs.

AC quit working on a Sunday and Mike came out Monday to look at it. The capacitor was bad and he had hoped to be able to save the fan by lubricating it but the fan ended up needing replacement as well. AC was repaired in an hour and is working great. Mike did a great job as usual.

They did a good job. It was a year and a half ago. They showed up pretty promptly. They also put in a new duct. It is very efficient and I am very pleased. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

It went very well: -- Mike visited my house to see the situation; looked at air handler in attic in addition to outdoor unit. -- He was willing to talk price on first visit (one competitor told me it was "too early" to talk about the price; not sure what the benefit to me of waiting would have been; I suspect the competitor wanted to sign a contract on the same day as he revealed his pricing to me) -- He answered my many questions in a manner that was helpful rather than evasive or condescending. -- He did not try to push me into one brand or another; just laid out the options and pricing in a very organized manner & told me his opinions/answered questions without any sense of trying to push one option over another. -- Provided no-nonsense pricing in a spreadsheet/tabular form for comparisons of AC brands/models with and without the air handler/furnace. -- Provided updated price list since I indicated I may want to stick with my existing programmable thermostat. -- Installed the option I selected, for the price quoted. -- Installed it on the day he had estimated, within time estimated (less than one full day). -- Arrived on time & cleaned up after themselves; did not damage anything.

I had previously contracted with another company. They replaced or added an unnecessary part, instead of what was needed to charge me more. After Mike left, that part was no longer necessary in the operation of my unit. The other company also wanted me to unnecessarily replace the fan motor.

Mike (the owner) showed up exactly when the appointment was set for. He was very easy to talk to. He showed me the one part (capacitor) on the unit that needed replacing. He ran the volt meter to show me the part was not performing up to specifications. Replaced the necessary part and answered all my questions completely.

I used Angies List to choose Ocean Air and was very happy with their work. Mike, the owner, was able to diagnose the problem quickly and gave me an accurate estimate. We discussed the different options and he answered all my questions. I felt like I was getting honest feedback and that he wasn't trying to sell me the most expensive equipment. The new furnace came in shortly and he installed it on a Saturday without charging extra.

It was very easy to schedule the service, and Mike called before arriving, and arrived on time. Mike explained what he was doing, and why he was doing it. He was very thorough and professional. Ocean gave me an advertised discount, even though the coupon I had was expired. Very satisfied with the work.

The air conditioning in my home was not working. I called Ocean Air on a Saturday morning, and Mike the owner was able to come out right away and inspect it. He determined that my circuit board had died and temporarily hardwired the AC so it would work while he ordered a new board for me. The board came in on Tuesday, and Mike came out right away to install the new board. The new board is now installed, and my air conditioning is working great. Mike was very professional, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after finishing the work. I would recommend him to anyone.

His wife takes care of calls and was very good, called back on time, etc. Owner on time, polite, personable, knowledgeable.

Mike is very knowledgeable and articulate about the business.. Gave us the lowest bid.. Did really good work and was more than pleasant and accommodating..

From my first call to this company to set the appt. to the end I was impressed. The tech (the owner) arrived at the appt. time set and was very nice & informative. Our system was checked out and all was well except needing a little freon. I highly recommend this company for their honesty and integrity and work ethic. Great company and great people, too!

Excellent work, reliable, courteous, and punctual. On previous work, he actually charged less than estimated.
