Returning to Google I found these folks http://www.newtech-plumbing.com/Water_Heaters.html and gave them a ring. Someone answered, no press x for sales, y for voice mail or z to do nothing. The person I spoke to gave me a price on the spot, was up front with any additional costs which might be incurred, the website where I could find the heater they sell, warranty info ect. No pressure at all. While I was on the phone I researched their heaters (Bradford White) and decided to schedule a time. They told me they would be happy to do the job between 1:00 and 3:00. At 12:30 the technician called me and told me they'd be here within an hour. An hour later they where here and shortly after the new water heater was installed. They cleaned up the work area, took away to broken unit, and handed me the bill for exactly the amount discussed.
Thanks guys, saved me from a weekend 'honey do' and did it for less then I could have done it for.
