Do not go with this guy! First he gets to my property to look at my pool and he says he has to get in the pool to detect any leaks from the inside, but he won't get into my pool because it's cloudy. At first I thought that sounds about right but when I talked to other pool professionals and other leak detectors they say you can detect inside leaks without getting in the pool.

I fix the area that he says is leaking, which I had to do on my own because he didn't offer to fix that area since "I could do it for less." The area was hard to get into and I understand why he didn't want to repair that area! I repaired the area that he confirmed was leaking and a few days later I realize we were still losing a lot of water. I call him to let him know of the issue and he tells me to let it drain past the area to see if I am losing water at a fast rate once it gets past the leak area. I do that and I tell him the results but he still won't come back out to check the pool because the pool isn't clear yet. I try to get the pool cleared up but I can't when the leak is sucking out my chemicals like crazy!

When I call him back for the final time to let him know the leak is still an issue and we have to come up with another plan to properly detect this leak he confirms that it has been past 30 days so he can't come out again without charging me another $300! He then insisted that I never called him prior to this call. My call log says otherwise and I have a voice mail from him still on my phone that was dated 2 weeks after he looked at my pool initially. I know now that what he was trying to do was stall the process so that it would go past the 30 days.

I would strongly urge you to go with another leak detection company if you need this service because this process is not cheap and you need a reliable person to do the job.

The person who came was not very responsive. It was hard to get a hold of that guy. He called me back from an anonymous phone number and whenever I called him back it went to the voice mail. I had to keep calling him till I got the job done. I will not use him again in the future.

Everything was fine, except it's a little pricey for a 1 hour job.

Rick was very professional and competent. $350 seems a little steep for an hour's work, but he did a great job. He told me what the problems were with the spillway and some leaking pipes. He was also very willing to explain everything in detail, since I didn't know a lot about pools. He never answers his phone, but he calls back fairly quickly. He calls from an unlisted number, so I didn't answer the first couple times.

Rick replaced the skimmer with a new one, which eliminated the leak as expected. He did a very professional job, cutting the concrete around the old skimmer to remove it, installing the new skimmer, and replacing the concrete. He did not repair the deck in the area where the concrete was removed, and he had informed me of this before he started the project. That would be a job for the company that did my pool deck. This job went very smoothly, and eliminated the leak in my pool.

Our pool was losing a ton of water. We called a leak detection company that dug up part of our deck only to give up and say they could not locate the leak. We then called Rick who spent several hours testing everything and was able to determine where the leak was. He was very professional and responsive.

Rick came out and checked all the suspect plumbing lines for pool and cleared them of any obvious source of the problem. Very knowledge and a heck of nice guy!

Rick was recommended by my pool manager and I found Rick to be very professional and has been in the business for 30 years. Rick is a licensed plumber so he knew what to do for the repair which added to my confidence in the procedure.
