Excellent service. Provided several options, discussed the pros and cons of each. Made a special effort to ensure proper airflow in rooms facing the sun by adding additional registers and controllable baffles. Came on time, stayed late to get the work done as promised.

I found them on Angie's List. I had been to 3 or 4 other A/C contractors. You pretty much have to have something done every year here in AZ to your A/C. And we had some pretty bad experiences. So Kilter Mechanical are really good.

One of the other people came out and they charged us $750 and the A/C went out the next week, again, in the middle of July. They refused to refund us the money, refused to give us a discount on a new system. They didn't care. They didn't even check the system for leaks before they recharged it with Freon. They were just the worst. So I switched to Kilter Mechanical. It gets 120 degrees here in the summer.

They've done really well.

They're the absolute best. They've replaced both of our downstairs units already. They do more than just the  A/C. They clean up the whole area. They just did my whole nook, the whole hot water heater. They covered everything with metal, it looks great.

We have a big house with a lot of square footage. So we have big A/C units, they're expensive. Each of our units are what most people would use for a really big house and we have 3 of them.

It's just one notch below what's the best on the price. They are a tiny bit more expensive than the average guys but they will be out here in 3 months for free just to re-balance the system once the weather turns. They do a lot of that sort of thing. They even do minor carpentry work. When we had to replace one of the other units they had to redo the crawlspace and they did really well. They came out and did some smaller work on one of the thermostats, we were having everything replaced with Z Waves and they were out in like 3 hours.

He is really great and he does everything paperless. So he just sends you the estimates and invoices, it's so easy. And even if he hits surprises in the pricing, like rotten timbers or whatever, he just includes it in the cost. He doesn't charge you extra.

My home has two high-end two-stage units (York Affinity 8t series - Seer 18) that were installed by the previous owner in 2010. I moved in to the home in 2012, and I have had issues every summer and every time a technician would come, replace some part or put extra freon and somehow get it to work. Last week, they both failed one after the other (don't cool the home)
- technicians from two other companies came and they couldn't figured out what the problem was. Luckily, then my warranty company found Kilter Mechanical. Steve (general manager) and Bretty (owner) from Kilter Mechanical came and fixed both the units - it turned out that the units were never properly installed/wired to work as a two stage system (most contractors I guess don't know how to work with high-end two stage systems). They went step by step and corrected everything. Both units are working so good, the difference is night and day. I am so glad we found Kilter Mechanical - it's so refreshing to finally find some high quality people in this industry. I highly recommend Kilter Mechanical for any thing to do with your AC/Heating systems - it might be worthwhile to just have an annual total inspection done by them for $80 and avoid all the hassle of a unit not working in the peak summer.

They had to replace the and quot;quick startand quot; unit with a larger one than the factory one originally used to get the compressor to start. I was advised that this was due to the advanced age of the unit and it would serve to keep it running for the season, but I would be looking at a replacement in the future. Which I asked them to give me a quote on a new unit as I knew that mine was close to 15+ years old. (It has exceeded the recommended time expectancy for this unit and this area...we've got our monies worth from this unit!) Kilter responded with a quote later that afternoon.
Unfortunately the unit quit working late the next day. I called and they responded early the next morning and found that the air handler had sucked up insulation and had caused the unit to freeze up .. which they defrosted it (it's in the ceiling) and then added a couple a pounds of Freon. I was only charged for the Freon for the second call which I thought was more than fair....no trip charge, etc. They are fair with their prices, honest and do not and quot;gougeand quot; as I find some businesses do when you are under their mercy in these types of situations.
I recommend them highly.
