Jimmy Joe's Plumbing

I had used Jimmy Joe's 4 times previously, so one might think they would want to keep me as a customer. This toilet had been removed 3 years prior and set aside for the installer to lay new tile. They did, and Jimmy Joe's reinstalled the toilet and replaced the flapper valve at the same time (using the cheapest set they could find apparently). Toilet worked fine for 3 years, then started leaking from the flapper valve. Called Jimmy Joe's after purchasing a flapper valve kit, since last time they had to go to Home Depot to get one. The "plumber" arrived, I noticed right away that this was not the owner (I had met him 4 times previously). He told me he had no parts for a Delta faucet, and that the flapper valve was a "non-standard size they don't make anymore". What? A 25 year old Crane toilet that I personally had replaced this flapper valve assembly with 20 years prior with the identical part in my hand, and I need a new toilet? The "plumber" became upset when I called the office and started raising his voice in my home, so I had to repeatedly tell him to leave. I refuse to let someone yell at me in my own home just because I'm intelligent enough to know he is feeding me a line of BS to get me to purchase a new toilet. I may be over 60, but I'm not senile and gullible. I recommend not using this plumber unless the owner comes out, but you never can tell, maybe he was told to up sale? Despite my arthritis, I replaced the flapper valve assembly myself, using the "it won't fit" kit I had already purchased. What a crock!
