We figured we had some sort of leak in our system, they found the leak(s) in the lineset and Air Handler Coil. Replaced the coil and the copper lineset.
I can't say enough about Hughes Air. We have a couple of other issues Reno is working on and I know he'll come through for us.
I will use Hughes Air for all my HVAC work moving forward. I highly recommend them. Thank you Jim Hughes for hiring Technicians who truly care
At some point, Jim had ventured out on his own, and we tracked him down to help our friend when she needed a new a/c unit. She too had several quotes and picked Jim to replace her unit. She too has been very happy.
In the meantime, the original company where Jim worked went out of business, and we lost several hundred dollars paid up front for the service contract. While none of this was Jim's fault, he helped us out and came to service our ailing old a/c unit last summer. When it started making wretched noises this spring, we knew it was time.
Jim's technician, Enrique provided us with excellent service (it took him a very long time because of his thoroughness) on the working unit (the one Jim installed), and gave us the bad news on the old 18-year-old original unit. I knew I didn't need to shop around. I just went ahead and scheduled the replacement with Jim for that same week.
Enrique is now going to be our regular technician, and he now knows our system well. At first he though we were going to have to replace some expensive filters, but after trying to clean them out, he realized that they were still fine. Apparently the service from the ailing company before did not do a thorough job and those filters had not been cleaned for two years.
The new system is so quiet, and the air flow is so even, I hardly know when it is on.
Jim has provided us with nothing but good service, and he tells us when we are spending money unnecessarily. Just today, he told me how to fix a water heater with a part from Home Depot. I was ready to replace the whole thing! His integrity is refreshing.
